That lightsaber was pretty awkward. It'd probably cut his/her own arm in a duel.

Agreed, Im sure that those little baby light saber edges are not just for show, maybe they grow bigger like a claw

Apparently someone said the saber was canon... but since Lucas had said none of the books were ever canon... we get sh*t like these coming up. I can't look forward to a true Star Wars movie when I know Jedi Jesus will be coming around the corner.

they put names to this film, i really don't like the fact they've decided not to follow the expanded universe books, but i'm willing to see what they did with it tongue.gif

Bringing this back since we're ever closer to release and Disney is starting to ramp up the promotions.

Marvel started a new canon Star Wars comic series in January that takes place between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Two issues in, it's brilliant. The art style is very well done and the story is energetic.

Marvel is also getting Darth Vader and Princess Leia comic series' on shelves. Vader hit shelves earlier this month, while Leia starts with two issues in March. I've seen a preview of Vader and it's shaping up to be pretty awesome. His first appearance has him holding an audience in Jabba's palace, mirroring the opening scene from Return of the Jedi.

Merchandise is being announced in anticipation of the movie coming later this year. The glaring item coming up for sale is a Darth Vader helmet, bringing up the rumor that somebody stole the helmet and it'll be showing up in the film. That, or Luke somehow snatched it from the pyre and nobody noticed.

Cecilia and I are going through the Bluray set to get up to speed on the lore. smile.gif

I only recently heard about this since it was posted on io9 or somewhere similar.

Have you read any of the new Marvel Star Wars comics yet?

I don't know, I am just not feeling this...

Almost feels like a fan made movie, I can't explain why.
