I'm a brand new member although I've been following this forum for a long time as a visitor. Here's the story. I've played ID4 when it just came out here in Montreal, I don't recall if I beat it fully, but I was pretty decent at it. Then I took a rather lengthy break. Now one of my friends just recently started playing again, and I got into the vibe as well. Made a brand new card, I am now (once again) a proud owner of an Evo III. Please refrain yourselves from flaming my choice, I KNOW it's not a top tier car, I've been told that countless times. I just love my Evo and nothing's going to change it. Now... My questions! My arcade has the v1.2 of the machine, and I read somewhere, I believe on these forums that if you don't know how to properly PC in this version, you shouldn't really be playing. Now I think I've grasped the concept of PC, but I just want to make sure I'm not just fooling myself. So here are my questions: 1. What are the basics behind PC? I know it's an alteration between gas and break, but how was is it supposed to be? 2. When should PC be used? It makes sense for it to be after cornering to regain your acceleration, but a clarification would be much appreciated. 3. Anyone know if the Evo III is naturally prone to wheel lock-up? I don't really experience it on wet maps, even during hard cornering. But the dry ones, if I take a corner hard and fast enough, the wheels just lock up and raping the nearest wall is usually my closest destination. Any pointers on how to prevent/make it controllable? Think this should be enough for a first post. Many thanks in advance. Cheers. |

Not literally snap-a-bone-in-half kind of snap, but it would destroy the couplings... seen it happen. I think I've seen it in some other post where people said that all cars in id4 are prone to wheel lock-up in certain situations. |
