Sprained thumb, sprained and sore arms to the extent there is real biting pain when turning, gashes, bloody nails, severely internally bruised hands/fingers/joints.....

v3 was like torture to play sometimes..

From playing ID3, sore right thumb... as for 1D4, I got sprained wrists and my right arm still hurts up to today... @_@;;

Maybe I shouldn't go beyond 10 consecutive plays... xD;

You guys are serious? Maybe you shouldn't even consider driving actual cars if you're getting mangled by an arcade machine.

GAAAAAAAH MY WRIST!

Yeah, difference is usually when we drive in real life (except when Im on the track) we dont have to do the motions that give us good times in the game. Techniques like the TST in version 3 and PC in IDAS4ver1.2 takes a toll when done for like 30 consecutive plays.

When the average person drives in real life, he doesnt have to turn left and right and countersteer in a split second while shifting if he's just going to the grocery to buy some stuff. laugh.gif

Well.... I scratched my MOMO Course steering wheel once with my nail while turning on a sharp corner once (IRL) and caused a part of my nail to come off. Nothing more serious than that for now. laugh.gif

For anybody that honestly thinks I was being super cereal about my above post: holy crap. I thought my comment at the bottom would be obviously construed as comedy, as it was by Damien here.

So, all of that aside, the advice we all need to learn from this is don't overexert yourself. Take a break every once in a while! Get out of the seat, get something to eat, and then come back later. By getting up, not only are you saving yourself from potential harm by getting too far into the game, but you're letting other people play. smile.gif

Im sure nobody took offense on the post (unless they were REALLY REALLY thick)

And Tesso, is right. Your body isnt the only thing suffering. So are your eyes so take a rest once in a while.

And for the IDver3 players out there, shift already to IDAS4, no TST to kill your wrists. laugh.gif

You'd be surprised at the varying sensitivity levels across the community here. I lol'd when I got word that somebody took offense to that post.

This is probably a stupid question because I don't play Arcade Stage anymore, but what does TST stand for?

injuries are common.. with the force feedback it is even easier to hurt ourself.. especially those players who enjoy 1 hand steering..

but sometimes i do occasionally use PC in 1.5.. a way for me to get my engine to kick back into race mode after i bang into a wall during battles..

i cant do any racing in real life.. cause i drive a Malaysian version of the Move.. Kenari.. =.=!

but i love long distance driving.. the only that would hurt would be the pocket when i have to put in petrol.. hehe..

thats if u guys are talking about reality and driving.. i would love a GT car and drive all the way to the European countries.. from Malaysia..

Tsat Seung Tsat. A driving technique in IDAS2-3.

Htting your head?

Possible maybe... When you feel miserable by the way you drove into that particular corner and all you need is not getting the job done... You may feel like hitting your head in the steering wheel and well... Hitting your head hard may knock you silly... But doing it is sillier... XD

I was playing on an old V2 machine a while back with a broken wheel, and, I was turning hard, the wheel locked early, my hand flies off the wheel, and I hit myself on the balls. That's 'bout it. laugh.gif
