good dude keep it up.. well uhh.. you said you are 2 seconds slower at CP3 because you don't wall rape there.. well if you wall rape through every turn. you'll be way way faster than that 2.47

I noticed that a LOT of people decided to play rev/wet so now I'm pushed from 8th to 40th gotta drop my uphill time with wallrape too now |

Yeah, keep it up Kazuki!!! But I rather not no WallRape though, more realistic even though it's only a game... And if You could get better time than those who WallRape that would be even more fantastic!!! This post has been edited by -ShinRei- on Aug 6 2008, 08:28 PM

IDW God Member Group: Members Posts: 190 Member No.: 25,623 Joined: Aug 1st 2007 Location: Phoenix, AZ | from what I understand for wall rape, before the turn stay parallel to the guard rail, and turn as EARLY AS POSSIBLE. when you turn, you should just about slide backwards through the apex. I THINK. but last time I read up on wall rape it was during v1.2 As for what i do, I try to do a semi feint, but it's not really feinting, as much as it is trying to go out in out. if I tried in in out I'd slide too far out and smash into the wall. What I end up doing is going out in out, and let the car slide against the outside wall. If I do it right (meaning, the back doesn't hit) I exit the turn at an average of 90kph and accelerating. on Uphill wet, I'm able to exit the last hairpin at a max of 90kph, but an average of about 88kph the only problem I have is the section with the jumps. I realize why too. I'm not cornering early enough, so I miss the jumps and I end up staying on the road (same goes for dh and rev) Until someone at my arcade BEATS my rev/dry and rev/wet times, I'm going to be practicing on Tsukuba OB and IB with my stock FD |

IDW God Member Group: Members Posts: 190 Member No.: 25,623 Joined: Aug 1st 2007 Location: Phoenix, AZ | Hopefully it still works the same on v1.5 I'll try it out this weekend once I get my paycheck (i only have 10 races worth of credits right now) anyways, I've been watching this one video of a 2.50.xxx on tsukuba ob/dry on v1.5 (one of the only videos on youtube labled as v1.5) so I think I can get a bit faster on it now. I just need to go faster in the M turn (by cp2 I'm only 1.5 seconds slower than a 2.49, and that's with a stock FD) This post has been edited by Kazuki on Aug 6 2008, 10:52 PM |

Instead go watch the jap videos they are much faster and they show better linings and speed.. =) |

I seem to be really shite on some courses compared to 1.2. There are even some turns that look like 1.2 and yet impossible to do on the 1.5 (Tsukuba OB CP3 crop circle turns). |

I did see Taro playing Akagi Up when I was in Hongkong for my overseas attachment last year when IDAS4 was still around.. I also think I had a super-casual chat with someone I suspect to be HKS (who's probably still active in WMMT3DX) one time during supper with some gaming acquaintances. Don't think he knew who I was, except that I was Singaporean though. Was actually supposed to try and meet up with you folks under orders from our team 'old man' RooP to pass our team well-wishes for one of your teammate's weddings, but it didn't work out. But anyway. Now that you mention your times for AS5, I'm really interested to know how HK is faring for the other maps.. It's always good to have some reference, now that my FD's close to being FT-ed. |
