After reviewing the latest TA times and as such, i need sugguestions on whether or not i should delete my EvoIII and put in an S2000 in its place..

So far iv done 3 body mods - wheels, hood and something else i think..

And i iv got 2 stage one upgrades...

I looked at the stats and the Evo-III doesnt get above 10th place when i select course like akagi both ways, akina both ways, ironhazaka dh and tsubaka both ways and all wet and dry...

the s2000 is ranked 2-3 in any senario...

Should i change it?

Does the car type matters in V4 like in V3?

Well i was referring to car brand. like which car is good on which map, but since u brought out FF, awd and FR, does it matter as well? ie..like AWD is good on iro ?

Well

http://initial-d.info/perf/v4/index.jsp

That has all the cars, i think most at least, in the game..

It doesnt matter too much though, just pick a car you like and stick with it...

The website displays TA scores, but dont confuse this with battle abilities...

if u check it, evo IX's are one of the worst cars, yet they are very popular and win a lot of battles...

So yeh, pick a car that you like, iv always picked the Gc8, FD and EvoIII and im sticking with them...

As for the difference between FR, AWD and FF..

I think FR's drift more, as in the ass end slides out more...

FF's (iv never experienced it in the game...)

and AWD's tend to grip more while drifting, as in, the ass end doesnt drift out as much, unless u intentionally make it so it does...

Alright, so I tried this method of launching off in the Evo IX today at Iro.

- Have the rev counter at 3000rpm, then launch the car at the 'GO!' (the rev will 'jump' to about 5000rpm).
- Have the car to go all the way to 7000rpm (the redline for the IX) in first gear, shifting to second gear will drop the rev to somewhere about 5000rpm.
- Bring the revs to the redline, it will drop to 4000rpm when you upshift the car to 3rd gear.

Apparently, it is faster than hot start, since hotstarting drops the revs to about 3000rpm in second gear.

It's your choice, although most people would work on the engine mods of their cars first, since it affects the acceleration of the car, BUT, it's a better idea to stay balanced.

Erm, you can't if you only have less than 3 cars. You can only delete (and replace) cars when you have 3 cars in your garage.

Sly: Still OK, since engine/drivetrain gets the most priority in upgrades.

Hi all...

Eh anymore information about evo 3? For example, the performance, cornering, acceleration and etc.

Or thats it?

I have bought an evo 3 last week. Therefore i am planning to start tuning it. Any evo 3 user? Care to share your experience with this car?

Thx.

Well simple, upshift at the redline thats all. And also every map you play, for instance akina when u ar at 4th gear your max speed is 142 or 144 cannot remember exactly, just try it out and if your speed goes below that max speed ,(during 5th gear) simply shift down.

If there is one thing about the IX, it's 4th gear is long, while 5 is a lot shorter.

How about you don't be a noob and stick with the EvoIII. You must've gotten it for a reason. Stick with it. Don't get an S2K just because it's ranked higher.
