That's because the one that really helps in overall acceleration is intake, not electronics... wink2.gif

the best way i found to hook up my cars is based on my skill. if i seem to be sluggish then i'll get an engine upgrade. my braking is off then upgrade my brakes ETC. until i FT.

Hey People....I'm Thinking About Getting The Ground Effect Kits For My RX8 ...But I'm Not Sure If I Can Change Individual Body Parts Without Effecting The Ground Effect Kits....For Example I Buy The GEK Then I Want To Change The Back...Will The Ground Effect Kit Go Away Or It ONLY Changes The Back?? Thanks..

It will change back... for example lets say you buy the GE kit for the rx8 and u say buy a front or side bumber the whole GE kit will be removed... i forgot if the GE kit would be affected by the rear bumper though...

if you change front, rear or side skirts, it will remove your whole ground effects kit. i know this because i did it with my rx8 without realising what would happen. waste of points =/ but mazdaspeed front bar looks hotttt.. cept it makes your car look like a mazda6 hahaha

btw just got my rx8 to FT, and yeah, 5th gear in iro is useless. also getting through the hairpins at the end of akina against takumi is extremely hard. ive just finished LOTS for the 6th time, and the trick to beating takumi or bunta in akina with rx8 is to just try block them through the hairpins. its incredibly hard becuase they run tight lines, but after my 13th go yesterday i finally managed it. on the second hairpin i always knock the outside with my ass and lose like 20km/h.

step 5 suspension is REALLY helpful for the rx8, it helps keep your speed up through turns a lot, i found myself downshifting to 4th gear through some corners in akagi but after the upgrade i could remain in 5th no troubles at all.

anyway, only FT'ed my car on the weekend, time to start TA's again. my goal is to get under 2:50 on iro... currently at 2:53 sad.gif

Scott: trust me rx8's gear is quite strong in iro compared to other cars... maybe u can try this.. release gas before u wall rape and once after the wall rape pc once or twice(which is what i do) while u are on the straights its will be wayyy faster and your below 2 50 will be achieved in no time...... on the other hand rx8's last gear is kinda weak at the lower power bands...

Yeah I Get 2'54 With A Step 4-3-2-1-3 RX8 On Irohazaka...I'm Definately Sure You Can Get Much Faster Since Your Car Is FT...And Since You Said It Changes Back..Do You Mean The Bodykit Goes Stock? Or Back To What I Had Before I Bought The Ground Effects Kit..

I just have to say this... the RX-8 ROCKS!!! I love that car! It has awesome handling... compared to my S2000 (7-7-2-2-7)I think that my RX-8 (2-0-1-1-1) is better... I have no idea why though... haha!

iro-DOWN

iro-UP

tsukuba-OUT

myogi-DOWN

myogi-UP

i want to have the best possible time on these courses... i dont care if it will not make to the top of the rankings.. i just want to know w/c will be practical.. any comments on handling? from past experiences? hehehehe!!!

FD owns the FC on iro, no contest. FD is better at tsukuba outbound. Basically equal at myogi downhill and FC is a bit better at myogi uphill

O.o 2'50 with an RX-8 on iro?
Oh joy!
Now I know it's ME that has an issue! XD

A comment on the tuning system. I compared my 7 engine-7 Intake with another 7-engine 7-ECU RX-8. Both were running pretty much similar times down Akina (3'17), though the guy with the ECU'd RX-8 was looking like he was having a bad day.
You probably wont feel the Acceleration bonus until you have the ECU to make up for any speed loss on cornering.
