Volume 34 included chapters 468~471. Actually (this week) in young magazine #02-03 initial d is on chapter 475 titled GT wing.
The battle between 86 and MX 5 is turned to a braking match. But i think the MX-5 is similar to the S2000. Omiya Hasn't the skill of Joshima to keep the grip but with the wing of the MX5 i think Omiya could manage better his tires than Takumi. Moreover Shuichi Shigeno d'on't speak about wing with the S2000 because at Ibaraki the wind was not a determining factor but at Kanagawa is there quite otherwise. evo 7 and MX 5 have wing, so we could think that battles conditions in Kanagawa to the evo 7 and MX5 make advantage to wings.

I'm a little confused here, are they chapters from the latest Young Magazine or Volume 34?

Maybe air force is important factor to determine victory or defeat in this battle. Because in the two battles we can see clearly in pages the air entering under the wing.

Fd against the evo 7 wasn't disadvantaged because FD has a wing too. But the 86 without wing is clearly disadvantaged.

I don't think it'll matter in the end, since Takumi never loses... except to his old man... he'll find a way to either negate or overcome the disadvantage.

Well since he's already used the puke formula (health problems), maybe this time it's going to be like the air gets so strong that it flips the 86 over and he tumbles down the mountain, in one piece, but at the near the finish line, and the car is okay...

I think Takumi will use the technic used in formula race : the apsiration of the MX-5 in order to no be slow by the air. But i very impatient to see what Shuichi Shigeno show us to make Takumi victory...prepare you

THis battle (MX-5 vs 86) goes from chapter 464 to chapter 476 (the first round in downill is always ongoing). For example match S2000-86 was gone from chap.371 to chap.394 (23 chapters for seven or eight rounds). Here for only the one round we have always 12 chapters. The battle evo 7 - FD (chap.453 to 463) only 10 chapters for the uphill>>Kobayakawa was a shame for team 246

. Shuichi Shigeno seems to focus more Takumi battles since the end of stage 4

The 86 and the MX5 don't have the same line at all. Omiya now the important spot in this race where attack is effective. Takumi seems to make like in Akina by 1 cm with the guardrail

Remember during battle GTR34 - FD, at the Ibaraki mount Takumi speak with kenta and his mecanic guy about is feeling, he said that Keisuke improve dratiscally in downhill and he is afraid about his skills in downhill. It's true that Keisuke has a monster machine for the downhill and i don't think that Takumi could match with it actually. The FD re-amamiya edition had win the big tournament touge battle organised in Japan (opponents : S2000, Evo 7, GTR34, 350Z, civic spoon)

i thought it was only ricer if you put it on something that isnt very powerful/tuned. example, wing on civic or accord.

I hope we can get some english subs before 2010. More initial D would be a nice Christmas present.

I think Shuichi Shigeno follows the line logics. Cars equiped with GT wing are monsters in mountains passes. Still something which comes from circuits and which well adjusted gives very good results in touge. THis saturday will be a great night, there is race of champion at France stadium ! Alls greatest drivers in one place !

Please Shuichi Shigeno put a tuned Lexus is350 against project D. I want to see Takumi 86 knocked it at 200% !

Well, it's not that it's not being taken seriously, it's more of a lack of translators and proof readers consistently that has gotten releases for the manga to be so behind.

In your log the thumbnails for page 07 and page 08 of chap 469 when clicked give the same link to page 08, so I can't download page 07. If you could give me the link for page 07 I would really appreciate that.

It seems that 4th stage dvd box (relesase date : 2007.03.14) will contain one dvd with 83' bonus. Maybe FD vs. integra (Keisuke vs Smiley Sakai) and FD vs. GT34 (Keisuke vs. Atsuro) and prelude to fifth stage !

We wait for a fourth stage album compilation with Initial D characters voices added ! Perhaps the 4th stage non stop megamix battles digest with maybe Takumi/neo in bonus !!!

yes chapters 482 intituled Conclusion !! It was out out this week in japan. 1st game in Kanagawa is finished. Another proof that Takumi is a Lucky man

Omiya is good despite his rear is broken and his MX5 made spins, he could drive it in these conditions. But the win for him it's impossible.

No, there are weeks without initial d. I think initial d should move in kodansha magazine published every month or every two weeks.

In last chapters there is some development about Takahashi clinic named DOHADE.
Perhaps a private meaning of D

but i doubt about that

今回は珍しく、13ページ。
読みながら多いなー、なんて思っていましたが、
考えてみれば（考えなくても）これが普通なんですよね；

埼玉で待ち合わせをする、拓海と美佳。
もうすぐ夏休みも終わり、8月も終わり・・・
拓海は、美佳の話を聞きながら、
高校生だった去年を思い出す。

そんな中、海へ行きたいと言う美佳。
プロジェクトDの来週の遠征は休み。
泊りは無理なので、朝から出掛ける事に決まる。

数日後・・・秋名山。
最近ハチゴーのパワーが落ちてい気がすると話すイツキ。
ハチゴーのパワーを測定してみようと考えている。
そこで拓海に来週休みならば・・・と持ちかけるが、
拓海は来週海へ行く約束をしていると話す。
そこからは・・・どこか（KC1巻）で見たような光景。
格差社会だ、安部ソーリに頑張ってもらわないと未来は・・
と言うイツキ。

翌日・・・朝起きた文太は、
珍しく朝早くから出かけた拓海を気にしつつ、
タバコを切らした事に気が付く。
クルマで買いに行こうとするが、
ガレージにあったものは・・・拓海のハチロク。

インプレッサを使って海へ出掛けた拓海。
何故インプレッサなのか、その理由は・・・
エアコンの効きが良いから。

8月も終わりとはいえ、夏は夏。絶好の海日和。

冒頭に書いたように、ページ数多いですね。
やはりというか、日常編は絵が少しだけ安定している気がします。
もちろんそういう風に書き分けているだけかも知れませんが・・・

今週、さりげなく「安部ソーリ」「格差社会」なんて言葉が出てきましたが、
この作品の年代は一体いつなんでしょうか；
こんな言葉出すって事は、年代無視します宣言・・・？

ところで巻末の作者コメントに「山ごもりしてきました」
と書かれていましたが、先週の休載はそれでしょうか？

vol.487-488
ガソリンスタンドでは、池谷が
水着やスカートと言ったものの
見た目について話し出す。
初めのうちは肯いていた健二だが、
徐々に熱が入っていく池谷に
少々引き気味になる。
だが、イツキは完全同意の様子。

海・・・美佳はゴルフのクセで砂の様子を見てしまう。
楽しげに話す美佳に見惚れる拓海。

日に焼けたり、海に入って水を掛け合ったり・・・
そんな一時はあっという間に過ぎ去った。

その日の夕方・・・

自動車道、インプレッサで帰りながら、
楽しげに話す拓海達。
その時、一台の車がインプレッサを追い越す。
と同時に手前を走る車が車線変更・・・
突如目の前で起こる衝突事故。

その内一台が目の前に迫り来る。
冷静に判断し、右へとそれを避ける拓海。

更にもう一台、スピンしながら近付いてくる。
左側の車線へと簡単に避ける事は出来ない。
右か・・左か・・　左！！

隙間を縫う様にして避けるインプレッサ。
拓海は事故に巻き込まれずに済んだものの、
その後方は玉突き事故状態になってしまう。

一瞬に起こった出来事と、拓海の芸当に
驚く美佳だったが、拓海は体が勝手に動く、
とさらっと話す。

夜・・・いつものように、
拓海のハチロクは秋名を下る。

Dの世界で、次の週がバトル・・・という事になりますが、
その前に次号のタイトルが「よびすて」。
バトル前にもう少し何かがある・・・？

先週と今週の話の事もあるし、何がよびすてなのか、
大体想像はつきますが・・・意外と別の事だったりするのでしょうか。
そういえばFCに関しての話もあるので、
北条が「涼介」と言っていた事の方なのかも知れません？

It sounds lame he's getting into wings specifically, all aero is specific in it's own way, but none has as much of a drastic effect as it seems to be having here.
Juuust a little more than usual. I think I'll have to see how it turns out, I may be blowing it out of proportion.

It 100% sure that next battles turn around rear wing :

Ibaraki :
S2000 has a GT carbon rear wing, but shuichi shigeno don't work in this way.

Kanagawa:
round 1
Evo 7 and MX5 have GT carbon rear wing>>>wing has been an important factor.
round 2
Mr-S has GT carbon rear wing
Supra (model ???) i don't see yet the car but i think it has (GT ?? carbon??) rear wing.

It's not silly at all and it makes the difference. With GT wing (carbon : light and resisting) the car could have more grip unless the rear tires are died. In theory Takumi couldn't match against Toshiya S2000 : Toshiya driving don't use the grip and its GT rear give to car more and more grip.

Takumi win against S2000 because the old man stomach was down.
Takumi win against Omiya because the MX5 rear broke.

The more Shuichi Shigeno make his story the more project D and oponents are harder to beat and set their cars like pro. Since Ibaraki all cars had rear : S2000, FD RX7, GTR 34, evo 7, MX5, MRS, supra and NSX (only 86 dont' have).

Takumi is an unorthodox driver. Wing rear come from circuit. But Takumi drive Bunta impreza so he has been affected by this point. To push the 86 limit i think a rear wing on the 86 it's possible.

秋名を下る拓海のハチロク・・・
すれ違う走り屋は、拓海の走りを見れたと喜ぶ。
・・・が、麓でそれから降りたのは拓海ではなく、
一度今のハチロクに乗ってみたかった、文太だった。

試乗した今のハチロクは、想像以上に良く、
短期間でここまで仕上げた涼介を褒める文太。
だが、これではいつか限界が来る。
「オレがあいつにしてやれることは・・
これが最後になるかな・・」
文太がハチロクに施す事とは・・・？

拓海は、美佳と別れて帰ろうとするが、
帰り際に、美佳がちゃん付けではなく
よびすてで呼んでみて、という。
拓海は少し間をあけ、照れながら小声で呼ぶ。
それを聞き、喜んで帰る美佳。
拓海は思わずトロけてしまいそうになった。

数日後・・・赤城山。
レッドサンズのメンバーが集まる中、
メンバーがFCを見かけるが、賢太がそれを否定する。
忙しい中、学力はトップクラスで、
更にプロジェクトDもこなしている。
こんな場所に来ている暇は無い・・・と。

直後の赤城大沼・・・

明らかに目上で、過去の人物・・・そして、
北条、或いは「あの人」と関わりがありそうな台詞。

一人の走り屋、高橋涼介としての
けじめを付ける時が来た・・・

一方、拓海のハチロクには、遂にロールケージが装着される。
神奈川の強豪を前に、プロジェクトDも変化を遂げていく。

夜・・・拓海とのバトルに備えて仕上げたMR-Sを駆る小柏。
負ける方が難しいというほどの備えを持ち、
秋名のハチロクにリベンジを宣言する。

物語も終盤・・・バトルはまだ、上下あわせて6戦あるとはいえ、
確実に終了へ向かって歩んでいる、そう感じさせます。
（作者もゴルフを止め、Dに打ち込んでいるようですし・・・）
ここ最近の調子のよさが、逆に不安を煽ります・・・

今週号で出てきた「香織」という人物、一体何者なのでしょうか。
涼介のセリフから、北条などと関わりがある人物のようですが・・・
高校時代か大学時代、または走り屋として素人だった頃の先輩が
「あの人」、その彼女が「香織」というところでしょうか。

It's seems that on these chapters espicially vol.490 project D work on the 86's balance. We could see in this scan that they put some bars to maintain the frame of the 86. Oooh, a roll cage! but, there actually is another option for 86 than some icky carbon fiber wing ala fnf.. it's called TRD widebodykit, with that whaletail.

I wouldn't mind seeing that.

I think is totally logical. Takumi driving is improved so he drives more and more fast. The 86's frame need to be more tought. With that the potential of the 86 will be bigger.

For a few weeks, each chapter of initial D has brought its batch of surprises. After the return of KaÃ¯ Kogashiwa, the NSX of the chief of Sidewinders: Hojo. In chapters 489-490, Hojo speaks to a person (who seems to be a woman) called "00". Thus the second pilot of Sidewinders could be a woman surely kawaÃ¯! Remain more to know what car she drives ?

I confirm it. It wasn't a crash between cars that make break Omiya rear wings. It Omiya mistake : shock with guardrail or wind intensity to strong and angle take by omiya in corners.

Actually we are in the 2nd line on Kanagawa with the next opponent : Racing Team Katagiri with Toyota MRS (Kai Kogashiwa) and toyota supra (Hideo Minagawa).

I don't know for you guys but for me since volume 32-33 Shuichi Shigeno has drawn more mature and properly his characters.

Prolect D should move the back seat and the 86 would be like a wrc car.

Actually he has improved greatly, just take a look at the first volume of the Manga and compare the art to that of the most recent Volume. Cars, characters, etc have all been improved

Omiya MX5 seem to be very well tuned from outside (rear wing + special kit)
It seems from outside to be MX5 from second or third generation.
Tohru MX5 is "miata" >>look its lights like the hachi roku.

Conclusion : tohru and omiya MX5 are not the sames.

This force is larger than the car goes quickly and makes pass much wind under wing. With wing you could hold longer the car in corners even if the tires are too worn.

Your talking about the downforce that the wing allows and my did Omiya forfeit? I mean I know the car won't be as stable without the wing, but could he have at least given it a shot instead of just giving up. I really hope Shigeno stops making these lame excuse so Takumi can keep on winning because they are getting quite boring since you know who is going to win, but since I'm a huge ID fan I'm still going to watch it. Keisuke's battles are getting interesting especially the battle with Godfoot. I'm pretty sure Takumi is tired of being spoon fed victorious. It wasn't a annoyance in the earlier stages, but now it is starting to rear its ugly head when it comes to Takumi's battles.

no hojo is chief of SideWinders, this team doesn't match against project D. It seems to be the last opponent in Kanagawa. They get some data about project D with Kubo chief mechanical.

Fuhimiro said it at the startline between FD & evo 7 that Kanagawa will be the last expedition area for project D. So i think if he said that, it's Ryosuke that told him. It's great because the meaning of letter D is coming.
I don't think project D will go to Tokyo. But it's starange because in third stage Ryosuke said it clearly that he wants project D rules all Kanto street racing. So in that case there still are Chiba and Tokyo in Kanta. I think Shuichi Shigeno don't considers these 2 prefectures like holy place of touge.

I don't think tomo is representative to Toshiya because in first stage we heard Tsushiya voice spoke to Bunta on the phone. Tomo is not connected with bunta. But it's true that Tomo green suit seems similar to one suited by toshiya.

No, i think after Kanto, Takumi will rule the kansai. Something interesting, Shuichi Shigeno uses Kansai dialect for Kubo's words. So it seems that the chief mechanical of sidewinder is from Kansai.

LOL! Takumi is getting down and dirty now, rear ending people because he can't beat them. I mean really whats up with that was it intentional? Unintentional? Since Takumi was the one who rear ended Omiya and caused the wing to break then wouldn't that mean Takumi loses?

Whether it was intentional or not doesn't matter I guess, but what really matters is who wins and who loses? I would think Takumi would be the automatic loser since he was the one who rear ended his opponent.

The reason for that could have been that before vol30 you could buy digital volumes from the publisher , much better than scans of a book , however that is not an option anymore now

Anyway, for the person who's said whatever ryosuke said looked important, u're quite right.

Basically, the guy he called is a mechanic (duh), and ryosuke said he is interested in a "particular skill" of his...Basically the next page tells us that he wants his FC modified in a certain way...the mechanic's shocked that he'd want FC modified at this stage of project D, but ryosuke said it gives him peace of mind having done this.

Just my way of thanking this forum for the songs I've downloaded. LOL

Might as well do the other part about the dirty or whatever, my interpretation is that it wasn't...I dont know if u guys saw the stop sign, that's what the wing hooked on and broke.

And the previous part in essence is saying that The Mx5 actually is faster in cornering, and since the guy folded his rear mirror, he actually didn't really know/care about takumi's car whatsoever, coz he says in the next section it's only about individual skills.

What got him sidetracked was because takumi turned off the lights, and turned it on right before the corner, so the mx5 driver mistook it for on-coming traffic; an instinct for touge racers. That greatly disrupted his pace and as a result he make the mistake in braking too early, allowing takumi to catch up and go side-by-side. So it's sorta dumb luck/coincidence again that takumi wins this time.

My comment was a joke, through and through. What Alientospace said was true, that's pretty much the only reason Takumi smuggled the Impreza instead of the ol' 86.

Shit really needs to get in gear between him and Mika. Let Takumi have some success outside the world of racing, dammit!

EDIT: @ 207: Early on in Project D, Takumi mentioned that she sent him letters occasionally about her farings in Tokyo.

Yeah, I kind of wondered what would happen if Natsuki found out about Mika...

If I'm not mistaken, Natsuki kind of made Takumi promise that he would remain single for six months or so, didn't she? I don't understand what Shuichi Shigeno is doing. All relationship in his manga ended in hell. I think Takumi will be like Bunta without girl because he thinks only about how to become more faster. the road racers rules is "no date-no girl-only racing"

It's Mika who tell to Takumi to go to sea on date ,Takumi just accept it. But at the final it will be the same result as Natsuki. Takumi will throw Mika sooner. I think Shuichi Shigeno introduces Mika only to make the story more longer and some break. But it's true that Takumi has Natsuki in heart so for mika is like said Nick Mansell " MISSION IMPOSSIBLE !!".

You will have noticed that during race MX-5 vs. 86, Omiya turns its rear view mirror towards a dead angle. It does that more not to look at behind and to concentrate at 100% on its control. It's like advice said to Takumi by Ryosuke against Daiki EK9.

Ryosuke wants personal upgrades, A NSX and Supra are coming, Takumi is dodging traffic like crazy, and now a possible super-charger for the 86 ?

I hope they don't add one, i mean its the "Mecha" 86, not "Super-charged"

And how exactly is the NSX and Supra going to fit in now ?, Takumi doesn't have a chance, unless Bunta gives him some "super" advice or something (This i hope to see, i want to know what Bunta has on his mind

See how Takumi avoids trafic accident cars. He drift with one hand on the wheel and with impreza 4WD. I think this is the answer to the Bunta+Jojima lessons.

He did the same with 86 (one hand on wheel drift) with 86.

TRSV (team racing street version) next team that challenges project D, includes only two pilots : Kai Kogashiwa (MRS) and Supra driver.

The guy with NSX is Hojo and he is part of sidewinder team. We don't know other members of this team and we don't know if Sidewinder is team from Kanagawa and kanto. But it seems that is the stronger team (Sidewinders) that planned 3 lines for project d expedition in kanagawa.

First line team 246 (evo 7, mx5)
2nd line TRSV (supra & MRS)
3rd line ???
4th line sidewinders (Nsx and ???)

I think that Ryosuke make project d to win against sidewinder (that is the fastest in Kanto). The meaning of project d is connected with this team. After sidewinder battles i think Project D will end.

As for mods in the FC, though Ryosuke did say it had nothing to do with D and that it could be for personal reasons, he might be up to something.

He wouldn't just ask for an upgrade just so he could keep up with the mods on his driver's cars... The guy definitely has something in mind. And I can't wait to find out!

i don't think ryosuke will upgrade his car for no reason. he is up to something. last time he brought his fc out to show takumi the course when he was again tomo. this time i don't think the same thing will happen again. so i think there is pretty good chance we will see ryosuke drive.

There is vol.489 to 494 that not be serialized. And there isn't stop of publishing about initial D next weeks. Every chapters contains 13 pages.

We know that One volume is average 200 pages.
So at this pace it misses 9 chapters (vol.495 to vol.503)
With one chapter every week we have to wait 9 weeks (2 months) to see volume #36 serialized !!! So volume 36 will be released during August !!

The MRS has a tendency to oversteer, weight slightly more, and is less powerfull.. unless it has a Celica engine, like the other in the BMI. The other MRS losed because its tendency to oversteer, but the ae86 had a 170 cv, not 230 cv. I think that the traction will be a vantage, and the oversteer a disadvantage. I think it will be a close battle.

Keisuke is against a Supra, isn't it?

You mean MR2.

But I don't think it lost because of a reason like that. In fact, they clearly said during Third Stage that his SW20 understeered a bit into corners, which is why he was using left-foot braking all the time. He had perfect control of that car.

He lost because he played his ace card too early (which allowed Takumi to catch up), and because of very bad luck (landing on a ton of leaves, where Takumi only landed on a few).

I think that if Keiichi had a better tuned AE101 engine, with about 200 hp, and maybe a GT-Wing, and a better settings in that suspension, it would caught that MRS. It is like Taniguchi said, it isn't the AE86 that is fast, it is Tsuchiya. And remember that MRS had a Celica engine, not an MRS engine, that is a 1600 cc turbo with 130 hp stock (MRS engine). I think that Kai's MRS is almost equal to Takumi's AE86, but with better traction, because it is a MR car. I don't think that Kai's MRS will be better at straights, or in the entry of curves. The difference will be at the exit of the curves, because the MRS has better traction, and can steep it sooner. But the MRS is a MR car, it will ovesteer more than the AE86, and they aren't GT500 drivers that (almost) don't make errors.

No doubt that the MRS is better than the AE86, but in Kai's MRS and Takumi's AE86, it isn't that big difference, since they are very well tuned cars. I say that the difference will be the driver.

Offtopic: I think that a Toyota Celica would be a good car to explore against a AE86. It has a good chassis and a good engine. It just need to bore that engine to a 2000cc, and get a good settings to that car. And that 6 speed transmission can give it a good punch. In NFSU2, I know it is unrealistic, but I was used to do some touge races, without drifts, and get the best times with an AE86 and an MX5 (the RX-7 was the better car to touge in the big classes). One day, I got a Celica, and gave it a try in the touge, and, I was amazed, it beat my best MX5 times!!! And didn't beat my AE86 best time by about 1 or 2 seconds!
Even in GT2 it has a good chassis, and e could have a better engine. It was considered the easier car for touge by BMI.

do you even know what you're saying? A carbon fiber hood is way lighter than a stock hood. That's why people swap out body panels for carbon fiber, because it's LIGHTER. Anyway, I digress.

Takumi doesn't win actually. They are in the first round with Takumi leading. The 86 and MRS are bump to bump. Takumi attacked but couldn't increase the gap.

The difference between Kai and Takumi may be show during the second round. It looks that Kai is controlling his car very well. A few pictures, or a video of the course would be cool. Takumi still has a little advantage in low speed turns, since the Gt-wing of the MRS doesn't "work" at low speeds, and the characteristics of the car is more eminent. And I don't think that Kai will broke his wing like Omiya, so, NO BROKEN WINGS!!!

A well timed Blind attack may be enough to won that battle.

He doesn't need luck, he just need to explore better the characteristic of the other car, and driver. Even the S2000 had the disadvantage of having more weight. If Takumi used a lower angle like the God Hand, he could apply more throttle, and wouldn't waste so much tyre, without saying that he would be faster. There are very points to explore in a battle, we just need to know them, and know how to explore it. For example, in the battle between Takumi and that EVO 6, they apointed the brakeing as a weak point of 4WD, however, 4wd car has a tendency to understeer, and in a straight, the FR car can achieve higher speed, even if 4wd has the same HP of the FR car, and they have more weight (4wd).

I am not interested if Takumi wins or not, is like twitchykun said, is "How will Takumi win?" And try learning something from it.

Offtopic: In the third stage, they show Kai using left foot braking, but, why didn't Daiki and Sakai used it? And that technique is more often in a FF car than a MR.

No, it is used in FF to induce some oversteer. In FF cars,, you basically can induce understeer steeping in the throttle, and induce oversteer with left foot braking.

Actually, in initial D, they refer two times about the left foot braking. The first in first stage, before the EG6 battle, and in third stage.

Well, if Kai drives dangerously (Who doesn't drive dangerously in Initial D? Itsuki and Kenta), Takumi just need to bump his rear like Keisuke did with Sakai, or pressure Kai. Or just let him get in a acident.

It may cool his rear brakes, but he doesn't need so much air. I think it is just a visual improvement. F1 needs lots of air, because they brake from 300 km/h to 100 km/h (180 mph to 60 mph) in about 2 or 3 seconds. It is something like 4.7 G in its body. I think that Takumi will push so much his car, that he will do some 3 wheel drift

Because of the weight or suspension or something (I'm not familiar with the SW20 MR2), that generation of MR2 had a tendency to understeer upon corner entry. So Kai used left-foot braking to eliminate that and then just powered out of the corner.

As for bumping him... No. An MR-S is mid-engine rear-wheel drive... so the weight distribution is MUCH better than the crappy 86's front-engine layout. If anything, it should be more stable. For the record, the NSX has this layout as well (though it's larger, so it has even better stability simply because of its mass).

I can't say the MRS has a MUCH better weight distribution, considering the AE86 from stock has a weight distribution of 53:47 (Can't say it is official, but I am sure it is something like that). Great part of the MR cars has a something like 45:55, that is why they have a tendency to oversteer. And the stability depends on the distance between the front and rears tyres, and the AE86 is a 4,3 meter car, and the MRS is a 3,8 meter car, but they have basically the same distance between the axles. They're both nervous cars, so they can be a bit unstable, but quick in the hands of a pro, that is why it is said that the S2000 can be faster than the NSX in touge. I would say that the MRS is basically the "New Version" of the AE86, but as a MR car. A Celica engine in it would be great.

I can't say if Kai is dangerous, since I just saw a few images of the battle, and I can't read Japanese, but assuming that he already did dangerous things in the Third Stage, so he can be now even more dangerous now. I just want to see more images, to understand what will happen.

Maybe Takumi improve his own sytle, seeing Kai driving a similar car, and analise where he is different.
There is the possibility of his father taught him some techniques or tricks, but I don't know if it result in something, because it can be like Ryosuke, you know all the things, but you don't have enough control or can't apply what you think. Kay could use that jump attack in the third stage because it was just a simple trick, but he could use too that final gutter (I think there is a gutter before that hidden one, from what I saw in Initial D: Special Stage), and I am sure his father know it, but he knew that is son couldn't apply it. Lets just wait to see what will happen, and see some details of both drivers. I think that the style of the course can favor or not Takumi. From what I saw in the images after the Omiya's mx-5 battle, Takumi found something about the line.

About the Supra, I don't know if it will be that intense battle, the last one, against that EVO 7, looked easy for Keisuke. The main key in the Supra is its engine, a 3 liter with 300 hp, until now, nothing abnormal. However, it has 52 kg/m of torque, combined with a 6 speed transmission, which can be pretty fast in the straight.

It has a good chassis, is a little oversteery car, and weights too much in my opinion (something like 1500 kg). Almost surely that Keisuke will not win by power, but by weight. His car weights 300 kg less, and has enought power for uphill. So, the bad things about the Supra is its weight, tyres and its torque, because it is hard to control so much torque and control the waste of the tyres, because it is a FR car, not a good traction 4wd. If Keisuke make it last a while, the Supra will be at disadvantage.

Edit: Apparently, the MRS doesn't have a Roll Cage, so basically, the Trueno can use the grip of its tyres more efficiently, since the Roll Cage improve the body rigidity.

Maybe this difference between 86 and MRS is the Key. With roll cage Takumi is able to push harder his 86 on the corners. Kai will want to make same thing but his MRS will break lol.
