The characters have the typical KyoAni moe-ness to them, I like it so far. But this feels like it's even slower paced than K-On season 2. So little happened and it's already ep.3. Also the sensei is an ass. He's the worse type of teacher. They know their stuff, but can't be bothered to actually teach the students. There are obviously slackers in the group, but you don't just write off the whole group. You either motivate the slackers or you focus on the motivated students and let the slacker just not play in the festival. I don't expect him to be Sawa-chan sensei, but damn. I hope as the story goes on he'll be changed by the Kumiko and gang, otherwise it'll be a bad show.

He did warn them in an earlier episode that if they want to participate in the competition that preparations won't be easy or fun...
