Hey all! I just thought I should post up this site that I got from Excel.. it's the newest CAR RANKING site that you can configure so that it shows the best car for dry, wet, snow, and overall. You can also configure it so that you can choose the best car for a specific set of courses.

Example: If you check Happo, Shom, and Tsu both directions then click "GO!" then the next screen will show you car rankings for those three courses alone! This way you'll be able to pick a car that's good on those 3 courses!

I'm sure this could help you guys tremendously in car selection!

Best car in the game?
There really isnt a best car in the game, but looking at the IR, the overall best car is the RX8 followed by the Cappaciuno. In wet, the R32 dominates

Can you transfer from ver2
Pretty stupid question.but will put it up here. You can transfer...you lose all your TA times and levels n stars n all that. You keep your pts..but if u have fulltune car from v2 and u transfer, your car has 0pts..but u gain back an upgrade after each game until fulltune. Bug cars will TRANSFER

Bunta Challenge
Bunta is now playing on ALL courses...including Myogi and Usui. Bunta is much harder now than before. Also, each BUNTA stage consists of 15stars. My friends/teammate have defeated 15star bunta and usui. You need a 2:55 for myogi and 2:50 for usui. Supposedly all cars can defeat every bunta..but i dont think that is true

Does the game feel like Ver1?
Now..this honestly is MY personal opinion..and i have mixed feelings..others around the world almsot feel the same as i do. Akina...It feels MORE like ver1 with ver2 techniques like 5in4out fient. You can no longer take the S turn at full throttle(unless u drive AE86) To me..its a slower ver2..lol

Which car for which track?
Well..heres the run down
*UNKNOWN* means that the IR is still very mixed and its not settled

Why is the cappaciuno fastest on Myogi rite now?
Simple. You can FULL THROTTLE thru the whole course, so of course, wutever car with the highest topspeed will be king. Unfortunatly for the capp, you will need to scrape the INSIDE apex of the grande curve(is that wut its called) to keep the speed where as the R32 dont.

Cars have BOV(blow off valve) sounds
Yep..it sounds like a sneeze tho..lol

Does the oil on Tsuchizaka help?
It helps mainly on outbound battles when passing your opponent. TA-wise, not so much.

The computer blocks?
Yes, when you race LOTS, the computer now blocks you. When u race at night, just turn off the lights and you will fool the computer. TAKUMI NINJA STYLE ATTACK

How come Keisuke uses Kyoko's FD when he battles you on Tsuchizaka
If you read the manga, the Evo people put oil on the track that caused his on FD to crash, so he borrowed Kyoko's FD to race the EVO people

What is 5in4out fient technique
This technique can be used in Ver2 as well.. bascially you fient brake and enter the corner, you snap to 4th gear when you exit or reach the apex. Your exit should be very fast. Akina and Akagi is a popular place to use this technique. This technique takes PRACTICE and i mean LOTS of practice. The top players in the world use this and it is ESSENTIAL for a fast time

Do Points Really Make a Difference?
Yes, they do, the difference between stock and BT is about 3-4 seconds...but only accel wise, and obviously, the driver is the most important factor in what time you get

Why can't I register on the IR?
E-mail accounts that are free i.e. yahoo, hotmail, etc. cannot be used and an email from an ISP is required.

As a mod on the v3 forum and someone with experience
i would not like to see the following

1. Lying about an IR time is NOT TOLERATED
2. Questions are WELCOMED
3. Ver3 questions only(comparisons with v2 is OK)
4. If you have a question, dont place on the FAQ thread, lets get some discussion going in the v3 forum and generate traffic
5. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If a member has an issue they have with a specific topic...go ahead..argue...at the end of the day, i would like to hear wut others have to say regarding the topic. Forums are OPEN discussion, but please no heavy flaming
6. Dont ask..what is the best car..blahblahblah..u get the point...

Erm...there is something I do not understand which is about the star given or printed on your card...How is it given?

I saw from other post saying

8 stars from completing the game 1st time. (LOTS)
1 more if you complete the game the second time. (LOTS)
1 more if you complete the game the third time. (LOTS)

For the Bunta Challange
1 star for every 1 map completed (level 15 of bunta)
There are 10 starts from there altogether.

Lastly is form the level of your car...
1 star given for every 3 level

Question:
1)For bunta Challange there are only 9 map so how am i suppose to get the last star?
2)Is there a maximum level for ours car?

I apologize in advance if this has been addressed already...
I have completed LOTS 2x, however, I was defeated by Bunta on Akina in the very last race. Do I have to defeat Bunta so that my 3rd run through LOTS is counted? Furthermore, are the racing conditions dry or wet when going through LOTS for the third time? Thank you, help is greatly appreciated.

There are mistakes in your FAQ:

1. RX-8 is 1st, R32 is 2nd, GC8V is 3rd. Capp. is all the way down at 13th.

2. Capp. is on top for Myogi both ways.

3. R34 is on top for Akina Snow

4. RX-8 is top for Shomaru

5. It's not really necessary putting what car is best on what course for wet because we all know that R32 poons everything wet.

Hmm I dunno.

You see, what I'm used to saying, is like if I wanna say "Myogi Clockwise Wet", then I'll say "CW Wet". Or if I'm trying to say "Counterclockwise Wet", I'll say "CCW Wet". I usually don't leave the abbreviation of the condition in there. Like when people say Akina DHD....I would just say Akina DH Dry.

Once you get to batttle level 11 you get an aura, and it doesn't do anything but make your car look cool

How much does LoTS give? Let's say one full run of beating LoTS (for the first time) with a winning advantage of 100m every time, how much would that be? I doubt too many people know... but for those who do, please reply.

dont think its that much considering ive done two LotS runs with some TA's..and i only have like 640K right now..so id say roughly 30K per run?? but you could prollly get more if you have a lot of advantage meter since IIRC.... the advantage you have is multiplied by a certain number which is affected by the course and the difficulty of the race

Eraser is a tool used by advanced players.

The real question: Does eraser only work when you are on the throttle?

I've seen some drivers eraser even when they aren't on the throttle, and I figured I'd ask about it to clear up some questions some people who come to the game may have.

In general, it is better to brake and then downshift (5-in-4-out type technique).

However, you can downshift and then brake, but this can, at times, cause wheel lock.

Where you going to mention some more of the technical aspects? like A-C tune and what is the difference betwen them? also some of the options..like steering stiffness and how to force quit?

i've got a a tune, and stiffness lvl 2. okay so brake then downshift.
about feinting + 5in4out. do i brake on the inside first or when i turn to the outside? then at the apex gas then downshift right?

It doesn't matter what is more important. I don't think that the issue has been adressed enough. I don't understand the differences between A to C tune...If you are arguing that tunes don't matter, I don't think it's true. I seem to remember someone explaining it somewhere... >_> but they where saying that tunes are very different and sometimes crucial to your style of driving. Maybe a tutorial on all of the options is in order?

unless tunes get special upgrades.... they dont affect the car..unless you are like.... #1 in the world and you want to improve your time by like... 0'00"001... then maybe in which case tunes MIGHT make a difference... unless there is specific proof that a certain tune would be better than another or affect your car's accel/handling..w/e

I think it is the same @@ i also think it's your advantage that counts... Correct me if I am wrong

Also I have a question too. I played with a guy (kinda pro). When we start he grind me to the wall, however i did not notice if i lost any speed... By grinding, will there be a penalty to the victim? cuz i reli lost at the beginning but won at last by a hair... (Iro btw if you are wondering)

No penalty on the other car who bumped you to the wall, but if you raped the wall hard, you're surely will lose speed.

Yea please I want to know too... Once I made a gud time on Akagi and when I TA Tsuchi, my Akagi time is erased!!! I was like wtf?????????????

check the rankings for car choices..

if you are knew to the gaem..there is no point in watching the videos.. you wouldnt even come close to pulling those things off... just work on your line hitting the apex for turns and go from there

auras just shows your battle leves... and yes..after BL 11 it is possible to level down if you lose bad enough or lose frequently...

rainbow is lvl 30+10 consec wins..

and how long it takes depends on who you race and if you win or not..

If you're talking about the aura then green comes after blue, and I think you have to be battle level 21 to get that.

i doubt u have been on some of the receiving end of jumps my friend, cause it really hurts if u dont take em and they do, esp if they're rite up ur exhaust. evo IV or no evo IV, if u dont jump, you WILL lose battles, not to mention they can SIT on you. now that hurts

btw if u lose against kai with jumps, then beat him next time round he says summat different.

the answer is yes and no....everymap is different and some u have to brake hard and some u can just let go of the gas and turn...it also depends on which map ur racing on...so we might be able to help u more if u say a specific map...

if u dont use the brake on iro... ull never get a good time... u need to tap the brake for most turns on iro... as for the first turn... u have to brake... downshift to atleast 3(if a 5gear car)... then take the corner and gear upto 4 when necessary

if youn get fished there, this is what i do (with an mr2, which in essence, is as bad as a s2k on wet)

no fancy shit, just brake, downshift and turnin. WAIT a little bit before accelling out, and when you do, dont slam down on the pedal, ease it in and countersteer as necessary. if you slam the pedal, you'll go flying to the outside and tailrape wall.
again, avoid wet if you can

the card inspection transfers data to a new card. it allows u to change transmission and tune course. you lose the outer appearnce of the car but after the first race it comes back if you keep the same tune course. ive never changed tune course so is dont know what happens than at inspection. what do u mean by transfered engine? is it a differnt engine like the ae86 because some cars can lose specialised parts if changed before fulltune. if you're driving a ae86 and want to keep the engine, change the tune after FT

When you have car inspection to get a new car, you should be allowed to change your tune right? My machine didnt offer to change the tune or anything for one of my friends at inspection. color- no. tune selection can be skipped if u want to race/challenge someone and your card is due for inspection at the moment. anything aside from that would probably be a bug

5 is sufficient (1x=6stars, 2x=1, 3x=1, 4x=1, 5x=1), the rest 20 stars are from bunta and vs matches. for 30 stars but is there a limit to the stars??

You do get 10 stars from Bunta Challenge, Battle Levels, and LOTS, but you don't have to beat Bunta 5 times on Akina. You could do that to get points to go towards full tuning your car..

-Beat LOTS 3 times to get the 10 stars
-Every 3 battles Levels, you get a racer Level.
-Bunta: 1 star across is 1 racer level, 2 across is another, and so on. Repeat until you have 10 star across. If you want to do more, you can. It's helpful to do high level Bunta because the tuning points you get help you FT faster.

So let's recap. 8 stars first time around for LOTS. 1 more for the second, and another for the 3rd. You get a racer level up every 3 battle Levels, and when you light 10 stars across the board in Bunta challenge, you get all 10 racer levels from bunta..

10+10+10 = Racer Level 30.

when i was was renewing it, the option to choose mt or switch to auto thing never came out, and the tune change never came out either....

it only renew the card.....so anybody knows how many plays to the next time i can change my Tune...

The card isn't really 50 plays... you can play an infinate ammount of time on 1 card... It's more like... 50 I'm going to leave and come back to play later times.

the higher you go, the more points you lose... i think you lose 1000pts per car change? which means you kinda lose 4000points when you hit 10 star bunta

btw, i dont see a point in doing LotS if you wanna sleeper... thats how i get most of my races, cause n00bs think my card is crap cause it has 5 stars, nuthin else, while their card has 8 stars and all stamps.... XD

1-6 was easy but at 2 i won with 20meters, i tried 7 once and was stuck 20m behind. my sil80 goes 201 amybe 202 on myogi and i usually ran 2.58 on the 6 runs. that or my blocking just sucks. its probably the grand turn, i dont hit the apex often, that has to be improved upon

its because buying parts like a rear spoiler costs 60k.... thats 4 tuning steps set back!!!!!. i myself would only buy wheels, stickers and mufflers cause they offer the most improvement/change for the least amount of points. (max 1 tuning step)

i have a question... how do i shift in irohaza in the Rx-8... i am very bad with 6 gears cars... when i downshift from gear 5 to 4 it seems kind of odd because the speed is between 80 someithng to 94 where i have to shift to gear 5 in 95....i talking about the speed...Anyone that can teach me how to shift a 6 gear car pls...

and when in akina, the 5 conservative turns, how do i shift too because i notice i donwshift to 5 i would go too fast but if i brake too much, i would need to go to gear 4...

out of all your cards. imo u should chose 2 cards, max=3, one card is good but u need a back up car imo just incase for some oponents that will exploit the main car's weakness

actually i only have 5 main car which i used... the remaining is to level up or play with my friend... Mr2, Gc8v, evo4 and evo 5, rx-8 and sometime(rx-7) which i use to play against people....

playing against friends or training time= levin 86, BNR34(for myogi TA) S14k , evo 6, evo 7, and trueno 86(which my friend returned me the other day)

i decided not to excceed 12 car now...forgot to mention i only getting that GT-4 only because i selling 2 cars to other people...

It depends. If you're crashing into the wall too much, it might improve your time. However, slowing down too much isnt good either. You should slow down enough for you to clear the turn but not at such a slow speed.

i think u cant get a very good time with jus the normal thing.....

u have to use at least 5 in 4 out in akina if u wan to have a decent time.... i forgot to mention gutters as well....

gutters is very important in getting a record under 3 mins....i still stuck at my 3.01 ....

in an American Ver. machine everytime i hit the wall the boost log is very bad, but when i watch a TA video from Hong Kong using a Jap. Ver. machine eventhough they hit the wall hard the speed of the car is still climbing???

the password is on the screen after the time attack you do. to review it, go to the ain car stats page after you insert the card, and keep pressing view change until you see a page with random letters numbers and symbols next to courses. thats your password

Nah its ok. Anyways if you want a back up, and AWD suits your style go with any other subaru(GC8V if you want the better subaru), or evo4 or lets say 5 or 3. If your playing to have a battle car choose r32 for wet. But if you want any other driving train get like a FD..

^Those racing games, the 3rd person views have differnt angles. So you can see the whole car. Or alot of it. And in other games 1st person.. I have no clue... I cant play with it...

I have just defeated the first 4 bosses in tsuchi(its a girl,r.y,man in rev 5 and man in rev 6) but the game says i have not completed tsuchi yet..i know i still have k.t and takumi to beat but they are still not unlocked yet...can anyone tell mi if there is anyway to unlock these two characters so that i can complete tsuchi..thx...

...oh and one more thing: if you've beaten an LOTS opponent twice (that means an X appears on his/her portrait), i strongly suggest you don't race him/her anymore since it will be worth less points than when you defeated him/her the first two times...

supposed to dip 1-2 tires in oil or something along those lines- car slips up but done properly u wont slow down/hit wall

...but a V3 card without data can be used as a V2 card. For that matter, any magnetic card without data is the same. Confused me so much too cause I played a V1 machine that dispensed V2 cards so I thought it was a V2. Then I go oline for shift points or techs or soemthing and I'm like 'Akagi WTF?'
