For me my favourite battle was the one against God Foot on Tsukaba. I don't know why but it was fun watching him drift and then chase after him.

EDIT: My favourite battle is actually against Takumi on Nagao. It was quite difficult, I took about 4 tries to beat him. I broke a few of my time records...

Bunta is my favourite. Will let him lead first then tail him all the way till the consecutive corners. Hahahaha... NICE! wink2.gif

if i were to pick just one... then it would have to be against sudo on irohazaka, imagine building a hefty lead up until section four... and then you suddenly make a mistake (go down to 1st gear, slow down to less than 35, etc.), and he's right behind you approaching the bridges...

It would be against Bunta in Akina.

It's so challenging yet fun. I somehow had the advantage in the second section because he suddenly go slow in a huge corner there. happy.gif

yes, that occured to me before. Unfortunately it was not a very happy experience as sudo passed me...

Wouldn't it be too late then?

I doubt it. I like doing that with Bunta. Makes me all anxious in my seat " Keep up, keep up, dont let that bumper out of your sight, keep up".

I'm gonna go with Keisuke on Nagao UH. He's an absolute BASTARD near the end where everything counts on you being careful enough not to fall into a gutter, keep your speed up on the last stretch, and block that FD all the way to the finish.
Kind of reminds me of V4, though he was more irritating at the beginning. As long as you reined him back then, he's not a threat on the downhill.

Haha, I guess it's okay for you. But I think I'm not that good. For me letting the opponent pass = no need to carry on anymore. If it's an 80m gap, I could just kiss my chance goodbye.

The only way i defeated the Supra guy on Nagao UH was because i kept a wide gap, because at the end he caught up. Now I'm gonna try Keisuke, which sucks cos Keisuke is so fast. Right at the beggining he overtakes... Any tips?

Dont lose hope THAT fast >.> Anyone can mess up beyond belief/ Slow down ridiculously slow. Keisuke gets weak on a straight just before a small left curve. If you're fast enough you can make the pass before he takes the turn and you end up rubbing the wall and a yellow FD.

Oh, I get it, I guess. There's one part on Akina UH where he was particularly slow on a straight, so I can imagine that.

I'm just a frequent Akina course player ever since back in V3. You should try bullying Bunta too... Just love to see his reactions! grin2.gif

LOL What reactions does he have? I can imagine Bunta with his mouth open and eyes closed. It's funny. (That's not a racist remark)

And any tips for Takumi on Nagao DH? Except for practising and such.

Go slow in the first 2 CPs, pass Takumi on the third.

If you go full steam in the first 2 CPs, you run the heavy risk of having totally no boost in the last 3 turns of CP4, where Takumi will be very fast if you are stuck at the 13x km/h region (especially at higher difficulty)

o_O

That explains EVERYTHING now. No wonder I couldn't shake that Panda 86 after that ONE hideously small 90 degree corner where I have to brake and he doesn't.

Well. Back to struggling with the concept of boost. pinch2.gif

I was going 100% the whole map, and I left Takumi pretty far behind, so he didn't use his blind attack. But it still took a few times to defeat him though.

But then Bunta came and I admit I enjoyed the battle ( but it would have been better if I actually WON though) due to his voice. He's like mumbling to himself, bored. I kept him behind until one of the hairpins after the 4 hairpins, which is I think at about CP4 , when I was going too fast and braked too late. After that he overtaked and I couldn't keep up. I knew it would be over once he overtook. Don't know why it's like that for me.
