well thats not fair to the people who maybe just want to post a few times and not make a whole acount just for 3 post. or if someone is to forget to log in and post something important while logged out. then they wont be able to share that important information.

I agree wif registration...

what's the point of registering if you can just post? and when the forum gets bigger it'll be more of a hassle esp if flamers or trouble makers come on. youc an't get rid of a member who's not registerred.

I think that's why Perry said that registration will be manditory when we get 200 members

I wouldn't really disable the guest posting, but I will limit what a guest can do. Once the member reach 200, Guest can not start a topic; can not view member profiles and the member list; can not use search. What a guest can really do by then would be posting reply only. So a member has a lot of advantages compared to a guest. So register! people.

not just checking the IP. you could also check the timing of their posts... we have admin here 24/7 they will do their jobs. tongue.gif

No, that's not the point. The point is to make people register without forcing them.

Why don't you register? Is it that hard?

I'll put the Off Topic visible to the guest again, but I just hope you can register.

Yes.

I do not know your password, because all passwords are encrypted. Therefore you have to recover by yourself. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

hmmm, i think stoping guests from posting is wrong, but I feel there is enough incentive for guests to become members, its not like it costs anything!
