Not sure whether to put this thread in the ID1&2 thread or not. But because most people don't read those threads, I'll just post it here

ID1 and Demul 0.5.7

Download, unzip, then go into Roms and unzip all zip files into their respective folders.

Setup

Setup can be tricky, but if you follow everything in the video, you should have no problems. This is how I got ID1 running (slowly) on my work computer. Yes, you can run any Arcade Stage roms from versions 1-3 Japanese or Export. The settings should all be similar.

If the fps is low or the graphics don't display properly, it's either your computer spec is too low or that the emulation is not running 100% correctly (not your fault)

Update 8/22:

Button config:
STEERING JOY1 ANALOG1 left - right
ACCEL JOY1 ANALOG1 up
BRAKE JOY1 ANALOG1 down
VIEW JOY1 DIGITAL down
GEAR JOY2 DIGITAL up - down

Texture problems in version 3 seem to have disappeared, only thing that remains in races now is the corruption on the skid marks.

Sorry for reviving an old thread - couldn't find the answer on google. Is there any way to to back through the menus in test mode? the brake button (joy1 analog1 down) just isn't working here. Also, I don't suppose there's a way to upgrade parts in test mode either?

Make sure you also map two additional buttons in Demul. Test and Service. These two buttons are used to navigate within the Test menu.

When starting up DEMUL for the first time, it will auto-create folders in the main folder
All ROMS and BIOS have to be placed in the "roms" folder

For control settings:

Main button configure screen

TEST : Button to enter Test Mode
Service : Button to enter Service Credits
(IMPORTANT) (Please configure these two buttons as you need them to navigate around the TEST Menu)

In Arcade Joy 1 sub-menu, these button configurations correspond to what does what

Analog 1 UP : Accelerator
Analog 1 DOWN : Brake
Analog 1 LEFT : Wheel left
Analog 1 RIGHT : Wheel right

COIN: Credits
START: Start

In the PUSH button:
PUSH1 : Gear Up
PUSH2 : Gear Down
PUSH3 : View Change Button
PUSH6 : Retrieve/Insert Card

After you have created a card in game, the card data will be stored in the "NVRAM" folder under whatever name you gave the game Rom, which will have a file type of .card

If you wish to have multiple cards, just move your existing .card file to another folder and create a new card in-game, which will then creates a new .card file. If you want to use back your previous card, just move your new card data into another folder and move your old card data file back into the NVRAM folder.

I hope this answers your questions. You can ask more if you don't understand

Ok I got it all setup. What I need now is a site or a link to download the necessary game files. Do you have any links I can try?

Guidelines prevent me from publishing links here, but suffice to say you may find what you're looking for on Emuparadise.
