I was wondering if anyone has made or thought about making a Logo for Initial D world or IDForums.net?

If I get the okay from the Administrators & Mods from the Forum I would like to put a sticker on my track car to represent the forum and it could possibly bring more members? This is just an Idea and it doesn't even have to be a track car we can just make a sticker in general that people could buy to put on locker, radio, book, etc...

Couldn't find anything on the search about this, if there is a duplicate somewhere will you guys delete this thread and guide me to the correct thread.

I doubt Perry would have a problem with it. Mr. Shigeno may have something to say though. Pretty sure "Initial D" part of IDW is trademarked.

What seems more open for this is IDW, IDWorld, etc.

I'm sure we could drum up a few designs and give it our blessings.

Well, this is the idea I had. Any thoughts?

Would've posted up the full-size image, but exporting it to a bitmap format caused the added text to get a little sharp.
If anyone's got Inkscape, I can send the actual vector their way. Or better, someone else can work along the same lines and come up with something better looking.

EDIT: Forgot the idea here is to make a sticker that can be bought, so the inclusion of "Initial D" here is problematic

One thing for sure, we can't use the "Initial D" in the kanji form. That's copyrighted. "Initial D World" on the other hand falls in the fair use clause, like "Apple Heaven." Unless the copyright holder is a real douchebag and goes after enthusiasts like us, we should be okay using "Initial D World" on print.

Check out the link I linked above for inspiration. I am coming up with a new logo and will post it up soon.

I tweaked a design around and I got this. Simple but effective, I wanted to do some wrap around text but I have no clue on how to do that. So yup. Anyway Perry beat me to posting up the previous thread link, so I'll give him that.

Because that's just the drop page. Don't we want a logo for the forums? It's easier to remember if we use the forums rather than the drop page.

Because that says nothing about the forums. You'd have to know what you're looking at. While there are certainly stickers like that out there, I think it'd benefit us as a whole to have a more...instructive sticker.

I love the first one. Not feeling the second.

though, i doubt that this sort of thing in general (ie. a sticker) would cause any issues...

God, both of those look so good I can't decide. Just add the 'idforums.net' into a corner or something out of the way and that'd be...mmm.

Yeah, I'd slap that onto a car I own, most certainly.

Wow I haven't checked out this thread since I made it last night. Really happy to know that will be 'okay' if we use InitialDworld.net that's exactly what I wanted. I really like everyone ideas, keep them coming!!
