Yea I'd go LS if you were swapping outside of Nissan. 2JZs are awesome, but heavy. But i'm particular, I spent 4K on a 300hp motor, lol. So I have my reasons.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine

Lots of them, just everyone wants an aluminum block one.

Quick break down of the aluminum block ones that were available in the US

LS1 5.7L (350cu in)
98-02 Camaro
97-04 Vette
04 GTO

LS2 6.0 (364)
05-06 GTO
05-07 Vette
06-09 CTS V
06-09 Trailblazer SS (and rebadged saab also)

LS3 6.2 (376)
08-Current Vette
09 G8
Current Camaros

LS4 5.3 (325) (the odd one since it's setup transverse, not sure what you need for a conversion)
06-09 Impala
06-07 Monte Carlo
05-08 Grand Prix
08-09 LaCrosse

There are a few more LS motors, but probably not worth the money since they'll be pricey if you find them. Around here this is the price break down that I usually see for complete motors

LS1 2K~4K
LS2 3K~6K
LS3 6K+
LS4 1K~3K (cheap for a reason)

Yea just depends on what you're planning. LS motors are kind of an investment since the sky is the limit when you're building them.

I dunno how many of these things you've got laying on your breakers yards but here's a four cylinder alternative, we like to call it "the four cylinder 2JZ"

Yes that's with complete stock bottom end, 666hp and yeah, 2.5bars boost.
Interesting PDF..

If I remember right, it's now pushing over 700hp but not sure about the bottom end..
And the best part of it is that the stock engine management can be tuned by freeware software and it's capable for almost 600hp. Not sure if JZW has figured out how to raise RPM limiter becouse that's the only limiting factor on Trionic right now..

How did I ever came a Saab-fanboy? Please kill me, NOW! derp.gif

But now on-topic, RB26. Why? Becouse it's mated up with one of the world's best drivetrain and chassis.
