I've driven a Probe before. It's nice, not bad.
for 1200 it's not bad, but what's the condition of the car?

damn i don't know if it's RWD or not(It should be??). Some are turbos I know.
EDIT
wait a sec, isn't it Ford Probe??

I would not bother with AWS, its really not that great, and in an older car, its just another thing that is more likely to screw up

I suggest you save up more and get a better car then. don't be rushing off to buy a car for a "good deal" right away...do your homework. check out some other cars first.

Well I'm gonna have to ask something here what car are you talking about. The Probe was a Ford model not a dodge.

If that's it, then it's a FWD paperweight. They weren't known for much of anything. Basically all I can say about them is it got it's name because that's what the mechanic does to your wallet when you buy one.

Depends on where your from, but if you have 1200 to throw around you can find something that won't milk you like the probe for that price or less.

Mazda is pretty much owned by Ford... the engine in the new 6 is the Ford Duratec 3.0 with Mazda designed heads....

But yeah... the Probe is a decent car, but as 84SS mentioned.. its not much more than a FF paperweight. It was originally intended to replace the Mustang... but you guys all know that worked out. If you do get one... at least get one with the V6 and a 5 speed, decently sporty, but dont expect much. If you really want a decent car at a cheap price.. get a Fox-Body Stang... cheap, easy to make fast.. and its pretty easy to make em handle.

The only reason I am getting this car is because it's my first.
It's also blue booked at aroung 3000+ but my cousion co owns a used car dealership and I can get it for about 800-1000. You might ask well if he co owns it why don't you wait for a better car? Good question, and the answer is that he dosen't get to many sports or coupe cars, mostly cadallic's and such. Thank you all for you invaluble knowleage.
This car will be my b*tch and I am taking a three period (Im in high school) class on auto mecanic next year so I will also offer my car as a frankenstien.
