Not too sure on the teams, but should you in need of a competition, drop by at the Top Gear GT4 Challenge. Two challenges has been done, but if you could scramble it, I can add you into the competition. Just take note, the challenges are a bit.... queer, just like Top Gear itself. | ||

I recommend BMW120i for starting since its more forgiving and has softer, slower handling, and them moving up to MX-5'04, either one will be fine. I warn you though.. the MX5 will FORCE you to drift in corners, and while doing so, you can't help but smile. |

Doing that will result in a meeting with mr understeer which isn't fun at all. Then, soft suspension (Low spring rates and shocks) makes it easier to drift as you easier overloads the poor tires, for more oversteer and direct control of the front end I suggest stiffening the front suspension. But stock cars on N1 or N2 tires is recommended to master, basically almost any MR car can throw the tail out, in the 4WD class you got the Subaru Impreza WRX STi version 3 as the easiest one to throw around, but to do braking drift in cars like that you have to brake with max 20% braking power! Old series 6 RX-7s (91 to 95 and some series 7 96 to 97) FD's mind you are also easy to throw sideways. As for the overcounter issue that you will encounter, well, to overcome that you just have to keep at it, it is all about smoothness and control and not so much about speed. Keep your tongue straight and keep trying, and thats about all there is to getting hang of GT4 drifting. |

In GT4, you do a smooth drift, go a bit too far, and then you tap the control stick slightly to the left and the car goes out of control. You don't get that in GT3 and Enthusia. Speaking of which, a GT3 or Enthusia challenge is an order. |

I represent team Noyzee Tribe (find in Asia pacific teams). I'm a frequent Gran Turismo player. I'm currently in GT4. So what are the conditions again? I'm looking forward to a reply so that I can set my cars to the desired conditions. Oh, yeah! please post also frequently used tracks in GT4 that most members in this thread used. I just want to see if my skills in GT4 could be considered Internationally qualified... to that of people here. I frequently use a Nissan Skyline GT-R34 Nur Spec... or was it a V-specII Nur? 02' please reply to this post soon. Long live Gran Turismo! |
