it angers me to see ppl be so viloent with the machine, i mean tugging at the wheel with all of their weight and some ppl just smashing the shifter with all their might for what? dont these ppl know that when they make the wheel more loose or the shifter malfunction it ruins the game for all of us who play properly.pissess me off!! mad.gif

Posted by: seth May 26 2004, 03:28 PM
ya that pisses me off too

Posted by: d0ob0o May 26 2004, 03:58 PM
ya some1 slams on the accel and he broke it and some 1 else broke teh wheel when he turned it really hard cuz he was so mad that he couldnt beat kai(mr2) on iro so we couldnt battle that day...

Posted by: JL51593 May 26 2004, 04:14 PM
Agreed, many people take out there anger by hitting the wheel, or turning it. Also, they pound on the accel so hard!

Posted by: [ Mizerok ] May 26 2004, 04:25 PM
The problem is, it's seen a public property... and uhhhh... yeah, it goes on from there.

Posted by: KeNgai_rcrZero May 26 2004, 04:29 PM
f**k that, anyone beats the shit out of my machines, and I'll break their f**king head open! Ask the last guy who hit the screen, he got his hand wrapped around his back and pinned to the floor.

Posted by: [ Mizerok ] May 26 2004, 04:31 PM
Exactly, complain to the people that work there, I am sure that there's someone there that wouldn't mind busting some skulls.

Posted by: GT3 May 26 2004, 04:38 PM
when it really sucks is when they break thearcade for no purpose whatsoever like they are walking then they just kick the shifter what kinda sh*t is that? i also have another complaint whats up with seat hoggers i hate that i mean ur done beating Iggy (Itsuki) so whos next but no, they allways stack up like 100 tokens and play till they beat bunta like 8 times . so many problems not many solutions( that arnet violent)

Posted by: KeNgai_rcrZero May 26 2004, 04:39 PM
Amen to that one!

Posted by: [ Mizerok ] May 26 2004, 05:29 PM
When that happens, I calmly stand behind the person, since there are two seats, I wait for the other one to open, get a friend to accept challenges while I distract him towards the other chair, then put my last token in and accept challengers whether he wants to or not. Then when he starts complaining I tell him, "There are other people that wish to play as well... stop hogging the machine." I am an asshole to him but a hero to many others, and that's what counts.

Woah! Are you a 7 foot brute kengai? At my arcades, people have been doing the wheel thingy too but they've also been slamming the brakes also. I can't stand these people.

Posted by: GT3 May 26 2004, 05:37 PM
bravo to that! but then there r those times when both machines are bieng hogged and the only way is the violent way. then theres the newbee's not the regular try hard and never give up newbees, the annoying little freaks telling experienced players "your shifting wrong" and "thats not how you do that turn" they also piss me off! mad.gif

Posted by: Benji May 27 2004, 01:23 AM
Ya, Zyk is fairly rough... lol. I don't think he could turn the wheel any harder...

Posted by: Taiki May 27 2004, 04:19 AM
my friends say i turn really hard on the machine.... ive been playing for a while and i cant seem 2 change that habit. its not that im doing it on purpose, it just how i play. but i do disagree about people beating the machine out of shear anger. really annoys me. even saw a guy smash the shift gears with some kind of metal bar because it didnt work... im just standing there and thinking to myself Rite... that really gonna help. i reckon they just trying to be tough in front of the crowd or impressing their friends, just to get a laugh. dont he realise they not larfing with him but at him...?

Posted by: MagjickFingers May 27 2004, 04:35 AM
Sounds like we need to go from arcade to arcade mounting punching bags next to ID machines. At the place I play there's this newb that always uses the left machine and cranks it so hard to the left on hairpins that he cracked something inside and now it clicks if you turn the wheel that way. Is it really necessary to pull the wheel past the stop point?

Posted by: Saito May 27 2004, 07:34 AM
yeah i hate those mutha F*&%rs too...!

especially when the whole steering wheel gets all off balance...like its turning a lil bit to the left...man that shits me!!!! i have to hold the steering wheel a lil to the left to go straight...man that jus puts me off my line....

Posted by: GT3 May 27 2004, 09:44 AM
oh thats not all theres more, how about those ppl who think that they can be sneaky and switch card orders. they just walk around till noone is watching then bam they switch cards. freaks piss me off mad.gif and p.s DO NOT i repeat DO NOT fart while using the machine its just gives u too much of an advantage in a battle. laugh.gif

Posted by: [ Mizerok ] May 27 2004, 10:09 AM
I don't know, I think farting is fair game.

Posted by: Muzicman16 May 27 2004, 02:33 PM
hey every 1 should talk to their local arcade owner and have them poot a newb list that explains all the rules for that arcade and the acording punishments

here are som of my ideas for tha list

1. One game per player (unless there is no one in the clear area)
2. Put card on top and keep card order
3. No excessive force or hitting of any kind

well thas all i can think of but if u think ne thing else should be added tell ur local arcade owner and have it enforced

Posted by: Knee Grow May 27 2004, 02:35 PM
Simple solution, I have plenty of pull at my arcadeL

Someone is f**king something up? Warning and then you're outta there!

Posted by: [ Mizerok ] May 27 2004, 02:44 PM
Yeah, I literally live there sometimes and have been on the good side of everyone that works there for years, not to mention that 95% of them are my friends and we have hung out for god knows how long.

We have a clicky machine too.

Posted by: Knee Grow May 28 2004, 12:33 AM
The machine that I play at sometimes in Denver makes this clicking noise when I turn the wheel, and even when I have the steering turn up to like 8 it still turns like it's only at 2!!!!!!!!!!!!RAWR

Posted by: Instant-Noodlez May 29 2004, 05:58 AM
i have experienced:
-bad gear shift that flicks to gears up or down
-badly aligned steering wheel
-no force feedback steering wheel
-loose steering wheel
-tight steering wheel
-gas pedal that cuts out every now and then

i havent seen someone abuse the machine yet... but damn i hate it when the above happens pinch2.gif

Posted by: Knee Grow May 29 2004, 10:24 AM
I had the manager shut down ID for a whole morning while DJ and I fixed it so they would stop losing money for non-responsive pedals and no ff on the wheel.

Posted by: babba-r32 May 29 2004, 10:53 AM
In my arcade the steering wheel is to loose, but everything else is ok.

Posted by: GT3 May 29 2004, 12:01 PM
i go to play at a movie theatre so that machine is in tip-top shape (so far).arnet i lucky grin2.gif

Posted by: Muzicman16 May 29 2004, 04:40 PM
wut movie theatre cause we got one at a movie theatre and its in good condition too but no challengers

Posted by: atomicracer33 Jul 2 2004, 07:09 PM
i hate when these kids slam the wheel till it cant go anymore......i just want to yell..."IT DOESNT HELP TURNING THE WHEEL THAT MUCH.....EVER HEAR OF OVERSTEER...DUMBASS!!!!".....that makes the wheel looser and i hate when the wheel is loose cause i set my wheel stiffness at 9....but at the arcade near my college there are no kids that do that their so the wheel is perfect like new

Posted by: PhantomaZero Jul 2 2004, 08:10 PM
I know a guy who slams his foot into the gas pedal. When I asked him why he does that, he said that stepping on the pedal harder makes the car accelerate faster. O_o

Posted by: Benji Jul 2 2004, 08:25 PM
The world is full of complete and utter morons, live with it.

Posted by: xkhol Jul 2 2004, 09:23 PM
i hate n00bs....they blame the machine for their own lack of skill and then abuse the machine

Posted by: [ Mizerok ] Jul 2 2004, 09:44 PM
Does anyone other then me see the amazing distortion in time?

Posted by: d0ob0o Jul 2 2004, 11:10 PM
i hate machine abuse...at my arcade sometimes u have to let go of teh accel and hit it again cuz thre all gay and stuff and ur speed just start goin down sumtimes...and sometimes teh wheels r all broken its gay...

Posted by: ______________ Jul 3 2004, 08:54 PM
At our arcade our right side accel broken a bit ( you need to slam on it to normal accel) and loose wheels both fixed tho

I've experienced all of those. I've even experienced turning the wheel about 50 degrees to the right for the car to go straight. What the hell?!

Posted by: Taiki Jul 3 2004, 11:32 PM
well, i've experience a steering wheel that just keep spinnin =D.
ot fished by a noob on iro wen on the machine... won though turned.gif... took me a while to find the rite position.

Posted by: mrDK Jul 4 2004, 12:26 PM
Yeah, i hate it when some n00b juss starts bashing the machine because they lose... geez its just a game..

Posted by: Knee Grow Jul 5 2004, 01:46 AM
The best is when they kick/hit/scream/curse/etc. saying that "the game cheated me!" Oh! My fault, I thought it was because you kept ramming into walls and such. The player 2 side has loose wheel syndrome as well now. I hope to get the manager to have a look at it sometime today.

Posted by: MasterT Jul 5 2004, 03:44 PM
i hate that...my machine suffers from the "stall syndrome"...in other words, ur just driving along, simple straightaway, ur in the middle of the road, you check your speed and get ready to shift...and for god knows why, ur RPMs and speed are dropping like hell, it's been fixed a few times but it keeps coming back, someone must just keep coming and slamming the hell outta the gas pedal. also, our right steering wheel is either loose, loose with no response to walls or even stiffness when taking turns, or clicks. im so damn tired of it, no matter how many times its fixed, it comes back...o well, we're supposedly getting ver3 sometime this week, so we'll have a new machine (but i doubt we will really get it).

Posted by: GT3 Jul 5 2004, 04:20 PM
i played a wheel thats opposite so when u turned left it would go right and vice versa. boy did that race suck dry.gif .......i lost sad.gif ...........stupid wheel mad.gif

--Amen to that. XDDD

But yeah... ><; People shouldn't be smackin' and kickin' the machine. It's an endless cycle... they kick it and yell at it... because they lost.. then, eventually, more people do they same. >_>;;. Then they start doing it because "it doesn't work any more". HMMM, gee, wonder how it happened in the first place.

Posted by: Knee Grow Jul 5 2004, 09:50 PM
I hate sore losers................number one cause of broken arcade machines.

Posted by: ______________ Jul 6 2004, 12:11 AM
Why do n00bs slam the gas? mad.gif Do they think it makes them go faster?!?When I saw one n00b play it sounded like he had his own MFS (ironically his car was an Evo 3).

Im a n00b to ID.. but i dont do any of those things...when i go to play next time, im gonna keep my eyes opening for players smashing the pedal and smacking the screen.

where was this?

when i was in the san diego county fair

Posted by: Takumi Trueno Jul 7 2004, 02:34 PM
I guess i am pretty lucky. My arcade is pretty small and not in an area accesable without a car. There is little no no abuse at my arcade. But if someone at my arcade try to pull some SH*T then Im sure that many asians including myself would woop his sorry @$$. I cant beleive what people do sometimes. Do they really think that they are being kool cause they are beating up a poor defensless arcade amchine?

Posted by: Knee Grow Jul 7 2004, 02:36 PM
I try t stop it as much as I can when I see it happen, but I'm not there all the time and sometimes little shit slips by on the occasions that I don't show up to the arcade. Come in and the sensors on the gas pedal need to be fixed! SUXOR!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Sou Jul 7 2004, 03:45 PM
Thats why there is a device called a tazer. You see some hoolagin about to beat the machine for his suckage. Simply apply the tazer and all problems are fixed happy.gif

Posted by: d0ob0o Jul 7 2004, 05:13 PM
u could always use a cattle prod...or just a really pointy stick

Posted by: Knee Grow Jul 7 2004, 07:36 PM
I like to use the back of my hand actually...........lol

Posted by: Linkboty Aug 21 2004, 10:23 AM
^^^^
why the back o your hand? you should just all out sock the guy in the jaw, make him never want to hit the machine again, and if he does, just beat the holy hell outta him

Posted by: Cappu_Drifter Aug 24 2004, 12:55 PM
now now ..... lets not get medievel....be more like me.... switch off the machine and tell him if he hits the machine, he'll be eating out of a straw .... i did that once and a WHOOOOOOOOOOOLE group of friends came up to me .... lol. luckily thats like my2nd home........

Posted by: Nappy Hared Azn Aug 27 2004, 09:25 PM
hmm... ionno why, but our wheels aren't exactly loose, but you can pull them out further and push them in a few centimeters. it doesn't affect your gameplay verymuch, but it'll start vibrating after a race and it makes a loud noise. also, our gas pedal only gives you about 80-90% accel. ill go from i'll go from 100 to 115 in a little over a second, but it'll suddenly stop accelerating, so it's hard to get good times on akina. (i drive an fd so i have trouble getting into 5th gear since it never accels over 120. except at the begining of the race. that's the only time with good accel)

Posted by: GC8VSkyline Aug 29 2004, 10:29 PM
ghetto machine haha.

i'll just challenge whoever to a race...if i beat him then he should stop screwing around with the machine. if he doesn't comply, i'll call my frnds up to whoop his ass.

haha cappu, the place i play at is also my 2nd home.

Posted by: EA11R May 17 2006, 03:16 PM
no the machine that used to be at my arcade [palmdale, CA called "mulligan"] truly redefined ghetto. the left screen was a dark red tint, the left steering wheel was loose, the right steering wheel did not lock so occasionally youre steering on a righ corner, you run the wheel just a little bit too far to the left, andyoure magically turning fully right in a path headed straight for the wall. also the people that manage the arcade use v2 cards in it tho its a v1 and it WORKS! w00t2.gif they replaced it with a V@ though and im buying a cappo w/ card name quiet as soon as i go. i will own with new machine. regaurding people who abuse the machine i am sad because i cant do anythiing-violent-about it because im a 13 year old and a wimp. sucks.

Posted by: peacemaker Sep 3 2006, 11:55 AM
BOTH Ver. 2 Machines at my arcade are damaged.

The seats are broken on both, one has broken speakers, the others speakers are too loud, both steering wheels are messed....

Posted by: chain492 Dec 28 2007, 01:20 PM
wow you guys get it bad, at my arcade theres not a single thing wrong with our v.3, theres rules and punishments and a camera behind the machine so no one does anything to hurt the machine. the workers clean and dust the machine everyday and change the shifters and tv out every year (ppl erasing and tv blurry, discolored.) i love my arcade [: the worst problem we had with the machine was the cardreader ran out of ink Lol! w00t2.gif

Posted by: Air23 Jun 6 2009, 11:55 AM
even though this is for V1/V2,let me just say....................theres only been one major problem and one permanent problem with the V3 machines at main event fort worth
the major one was that someone punched the card reader so hard that it stopped working, and wouldnt accept cards.new ones could be read, but they wouldnt save
the permanent one was that the link got broke about a year ago,and still hasnt been fixed dry.gif

the only problem is that the left ones card reader wont work.when you start,it takes you to the car select screen.
the monitors on both used to have a bluish/purplish tint, but they got replaced smile.gif
