Just a quick reminder that last Initial D Manga Vol 48 will be released this winter as announced on page 86 of Vol 47. The 47th manga book also came with a little flyer announcing the Final Stage is in production and that the new Initial D movie is coming out in Summer 2014. Basically, nothing new besides a more narrowed-down date for Vol.48's release.

Vol.47 contains chapter 689—708, so that leaves Vol.48 to have 709—719. In other words, the last volume of Initial D manga book will have only 11 chapters, the smallest number of chapters contained ever in the history of Initial D. There has been speculations that since the last book is so thin, there *might* be extra content to fill it up. What are those content assuming they exist? No one knows at this point. Either that or Vol.48 will just be the thinnest Initial D manga book ever.

There is one thing we want to bring up here. As you know, Vol.47 was released on August 6th, 2013. And the announcement was on the page 86. There seems to be some sort of "fixation" with the number "86." We are going to go ahead and make a bold prediction here——that Final Stage will consists of two episodes and the new movie is going to be a standard 100-minute movie like Third Stage. Why do we say that? Take a look at the following...

» Initial D Final Stage — 2 episodes (predicted)

If you were to add the numbers of all the stages up, you get 86...!! From the very first stage 'til Fifth Stage, the number of episodes are now up to 83. So if they want to make the number 86 appears again, what better way than to have the total number of Initial D episodes equal to 86? It makes perfect sense.

It started with 86, then it ends with 86...

I really hope I can purchase this Volume in Japanese somewhere easily when it's released.
