It shouldn't be unless you're using a version from 1999. As far as I know Winamp has been able to play pls streams for at least a decade. I'm guessing that it's one of these things:

A.) You aren't loading the file right. Try downloading the listen.pls file to your desktop and loading it into Winamp, iTunes, MPC-HC, VLC, etc.

B.) Your computer's garbage software firewall is blocking access to high port numbers

C.) Your router is blocking access to high port numbers

D.) Your ISP is blocking access to high port numbers

I know at work I wasn't able to listen to the stream because there was a filter in place that only allowed access to port 80 (the world wide web) so you couldn't get to port 8000 or 8001 where the radio lived. If your computer is unable to access ports 8000-8002 then that would prevent the stream from working and there's nothing we can do to change that. You'll have to figure out why for yourself.

Hi guys. Radio stream seems to be unavailable in Europe. I tried it at home and at work, but it doesn't work. It worked fine until the last week.

If I try to connect to http://64.90.41.246/ directly, it shows me an error message:

Site Temporarily Unavailable

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.

error id: "bad_httpd_conf"

If I use port 8000 (or the complete address with the listen.pls), it shows me a connection error crying2.gif.

//EDIT: Problem solved. You switched to port 9001 and I've had stored the old address with port 8000 whistling.gif

Read this one: https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=45921

It was a necessary move because spambot was crashing the radio constantly.
