Isn't this supposed to be in automotive anyway? Hmmm ^__~

Oh my god. Thewird, you dumbass. I hate your f*cking guts.

Just kidding. This belongs in the Automotive forums, so please, think before you post next time.

On topic, what the hell were you doing!?

Posted by: Taku_E70 Jul 3 2005, 09:45 PM
oh my..

what car is it!

Posted by: thewird Jul 3 2005, 09:50 PM
Sorry about the section, I thought it would fit since it should make Initial D fan's more careful when trying to do Initial D shit.

It's a 2000 Jetta. I was going fast around a tight corner and my tires lost grip because the treads are dead from to much 180's and other Initial D typed manuavers. It was downhill and the road was slanted downwards so it made it even worse.

Posted by: InitialDRulz Jul 3 2005, 09:52 PM

The mechanic said around $6000 CAD. It's in my garage now because I don't have money to fix it.

So how exactly did it happen?

Posted by: Zilious Jul 3 2005, 10:55 PM
That's even worse than I had back in mid winter of y2k though... road was like mirror and "slightly" too much speed on mediate s-turn (120kph) though... repair work took only 16.000mk (2.650€) though we were just racing old roads just for fun.. but still bad luck.. hope u get money to fix your ride

We should start a donation to thewird and hopefully he can get enough, if everyone on the forums donated like $20 he would have more than enough.

Posted by: zerocool_designs Jul 3 2005, 11:44 PM
^^Yeah, then we can all donate to me so's I don't have to drive a Honda from 1989.

Sorry to hear it thewird... these things happen.

Posted by: KhmErEvolutioN Jul 3 2005, 11:47 PM
that why u should only use initial d cars.
would u think a jetta will be able to do the same as their cars and ohh yea it a cartoon.

EDIT. nothing wrong with a 1989 honda, my bro owns one but it an integra xsi (JDM)

Posted by: InitialDRulz Jul 4 2005, 03:22 AM
man, we should donate to the wird or something...LOL

Posted by: SircatmaN Jul 4 2005, 04:21 AM
Ouch.

I have to say the people on this forum rock, no one tries to give you shit for attempting anything.

I spun out twice yesterday in the FC almsot hitting a tree the second time because we were heading to the hills for some dori so I set my front tyres to 23psi to grip and rears to 50psi so they would be hard as and spin easy. Halfway there it poured down with rain and the car was sliding everywhere.
Everyone in the clubs here act like total assholes when you spin out...
luckily no damage here happy.gif

Every time I try to type something out to reply to this, gobs of profanity come out, so I guess I'll just have to limit it to: Please get your license revoked.

Posted by: Kurama408 Jul 4 2005, 05:10 AM
pfft...drive safely and don't try any initial d moves...=p u need professionals to help you with that...i wouldn't try a takumi unless it was a life or death situation...which has happened only once in my life time never do i want to face something like that again...

Posted by: WRX DEMON Type R Jul 4 2005, 05:42 AM
Well, at least it aint a write off.

But for 6 grand you could always buy another car... wink2.gif

What im worried about is how your insurance company is going to take this.

Posted by: lance Jul 4 2005, 05:58 AM
dont tell them ._.

Posted by: thewird Jul 4 2005, 06:12 AM
That's exactly what I'm doing, I'm not going to report to insurance. I'm even gonna fix the wall myself. BTW, no need for donations guys. I just posted it so you guys could see what happens when you try Initial D stuff on the real road without experience. So be cautious wink2.gif

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 4 2005, 06:51 AM
Having already been told this by The Wird, I do feel really sorry for him... but I think Demon has a good point... For the price of fixing your Jetta you could get a "new" used car like a 2.5RS or something tongue.gif

Posted by: babba-r32 Jul 4 2005, 06:59 AM
sorry to hear, but at least you are OK.

If you get the money from insurrance I would sell the car as a scrap and buy a new one. Maybe a GTi.

Posted by: r3d$unz Jul 4 2005, 07:25 AM
awww that'll bump right out happy.gif

Posted by: thewird Jul 4 2005, 08:07 AM
The car is worth 14k when fixed so it's worth it to fix it.

thewird

Posted by: PandaRedTrueno Jul 4 2005, 09:07 AM
uhh it wasn't worth no where near 14k before you wrecked it and sure as hell wont be worth that after you fix it, extensive damage like that.. the car will never be 100% right ever again. Trust me.

Posted by: VRr1FD Jul 4 2005, 09:26 AM
well, start looking for junkyards with parts for your car. the mechanics estimate was most likely for all new parts.

there are only 2 kinds of drivers. those who have crashed, and those who will.

Dude, we are like 84 cents to their dollar. It's not like we are half of it. Just start calling around for used parts. That's what I did to get a new manifold for my POS truck.

^ and Hahahaha! Yes it did! Good job Keisuke! XD Seriously though that sucks ass.... Good luck on finding cheap parts.

replying to somone who said there are two types of people. Sure some people may never crash but most I'd say around 80% will have accidents hell racers have them quite often. If you crash it doesnt mean your a bad driver.

exactly. everyone crashes eventually. it's funny to see people make such a big deal of it.

hell, people crash perfectly good cars all the time without trying to go fast. -those are the guys to look out for.

Yea, I know what you're saying. I'm totally retarded for being flabbergasted by a kid probably around the range of 17ish, getting all hopped up on cartoons and jumping in a vehicle of grocery getter status and wrecking it.

It's really too bad that Initial D wasnt around when the whole "TV made my kid do _________" phase of the early 80's. Republicans of the world would have had a field day with it. This would have been right up there with "Ozzy made my kid kill himself".

ahh, i just did the same thing a month ago or so. Same side, same area, less damage whistling.gif I'm waiting for the last part to come in the mail, it'll be back to normal soon.
It happens pretty easily, esp. if its wet and and your driving FF, push just a little to hard and BAM, there's no saving it.
good luck getting it fixed! I used ebay motors for most of my parts.

Posted by: Nomake Wan Jul 8 2005, 01:43 PM
I guess I shouldn't be hard on ya for this. XD; I had two similar incidents in my car, but fortunately neither resulted in damage to my vehicle, once because I braked properly in time (I don't have ABS, so...) and the other time it was because it was winter and snow is a better shock absorber than raw tree. >.>

You can be sure that after such things I drive my car a little more carefully. There's nothing like understeering into something to freak the crap outta ya. (Okay, so I really didn't learn because I still practice LFB and nearly went into a field because of it, but leave me alone...)

Good luck gettin' it all fixed. Hope it turns out well in the end.
