So come on, let's make use of this space...Maybe AP1FrEaKsLiDe can learn a thing or two in here... Basic kick-off: What's your favorite gun(s)? |

I have a soft spot for the HK USP and MK23 Socom especially. I don't have wicked gun taste, I love mostly the military/law enforcement tactical weapons. |

A Legend in my Own Mind Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,387 Member No.: 599 Joined: Aug 4th 2003 Location: In my Shirt | These are my favorite, and I own two them both: Springfield Armory XD .40 cal Tactical 5" barrel in Black & Springfield Armory 1911-A1 TRP .45 cal 5" barrel in Armory Kote and Novak night sights I went shooting last Sunday to further break-in my XD and to check out the 1911 I just bought. The 1911 F'ing rocked, even with the shitty ammo at the shooting range. I blew a nice 2" hole in my target from 21 feet away. My XD doesn't like the ammo they sell at the range (Magtech). I use Winchester USA 160 gr. rounds in that one. The Magtechs at the range were 180 gr. and they were grouping in a 5" radius. I usually group 3" or smaller at 21' with the Winchester rounds. I still have to put another 100 rounds through my XD before I can really clean the barrel, and 450 rounds through my 1911 before it too is broken in. The only gun I own now is a cheap ass Jennings 9mm. and I have a CWP. because I don't like people to know if I am carrying. I had a Mossberg Security 12ga. but I sold it to my friend because he wasn't a AZ resident yet and couldn't buy a new gun was going to use the money to buy another but spent it on my Fury instead. |

Damn, that Springfield 1911 is pretty nice... I'm a sucker for 1911s...The most desirable one I'd love to own are the Strayer-Voigt Infinity 1911s; Specifically one of their competition models (1|2) with a 6" barrel and double-stack magazine (26 rounds of 9mm; 19 rounds of .45 ACP)...Suckers are badass, but a bit hard to find, and steep in the price: MSRP starts at $1250...If I assume their 3.9" models are their basic 1911s that starts the bottom line, my 6" 1911 could be anywhere in Cloud 9, say ~$2000... We all have our dreams... Anime otakus might find themselves familiar with my gun: It's Vincent Volaju's weapon of choice in Cowboy Bebop: The Movie...

Strange coming from an Arab NO? Arabs arent know to liking Sniper Rifles. BUt I love them, there is just something about them I love, maybe the fact that I dont have to face my oppenent head on, or maybe that looking through the scope, that I hold the persons life in my trigger finger and at any moment can send him to hell |

I'm really partial to the P226/228 series, personally... special forces still use 'em over Berettas. As for something bigger... I dunno, MP5A4? Nice design, pretty stable. And for beauty... the SVD Dragunov. That is the prettiest sniper rifle I've ever seen. |

I like your thinking Asian Red-Neck. Teach me! Teach me the differences between guns! Kinda like you taught me the differences between the M4 and M16. I like my M16. =D

M4 - Semi and full auto M16 - semi and 3-round burst |

But AP1 was calling his dad's M16/AR15 an M4...They're both essentially the same assult rifle, but their overall dimentions still make them different... The M16 has a faster muzzle velocity, and due to the longer barrel, has a longer effective firing range... The M4 is more compact and lighter thanks to a shorter barrel and a retractable stock, and with it's higher rate of fire, it makes great for close quarter combat... Though getting outside the technical stuff, you can tell the difference just by looking at the cosmetics, which is what I did in IDing AP1's gun... By the way; The M4 still has semi-automatic and 3-round burst modes like the M16A2/M16A4...It's only the M4A1 that has a fully automatic mode in replacement of burst, similar to the M16A3...Gotta make sure you specify what variant the gun is on these kind of things... am3 - Shit! That's an awsome collection! One thing that caught my eye is the AMT Automag, either a II or a V...It's the silver pistol on the top middle shelf in the 3rd picture... Ballistic heartbreak Group: Advanced Members Posts: 16,831 Member No.: 1,034 Joined: Nov 22nd 2003 Location: Richards Majestic, apartment 51 | MD - The difference is in manufacturer and name... The AR-15 was built by ArmaLite and was produced as is until 1959 when their rights were sold to Colt, where it became known as the M16 (Though the AR-15 name is still used for semi-automatic variants)... Wikipedia FTW...Someone put up a nice history overview of the rifle that's worth a read if you wanna know the story behind the gun...
