For me i think NISSAN S 15 Silvia.... (in gun metal colour) |

High revs and lightweight. In that case, the S2000 comes to mind being that he has seen the car and the capabilities the car possesses. |

It would probably suit Takumi's driving style well. I would have said an FC or FD as well, but I don't know if they would fit Takumi's aggressive driving style and/or Takumi can afford to buy and maintain an RX-7. I never asked for this... Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,337 Member No.: 15,854 Joined: Feb 11th 2006 Location: Redondo Beach, CA | I would say S2000 too. Takumi is used to driving a lightweight car with a high reving straight 4, so it would only be natural to pick a car that has those characteristics. Besides, the S2000's F22C engine makes the same horsepower and probably similar (or higher) torque right out of the factory as the 4A-GE AE101 in Takumi's AE86. |

When he breaks the engine he changes the engine not the car. And he says with project d he will win battle by battle with the 86. Takumi without the 86 is troublesome. IDW Goldmember Group: Advanced Members Posts: 4,217 Member No.: 5,199 Joined: Jan 22nd 2005 Location: Melbourne, Australia | somehow i doubt he'd be driving a car that he'd already beaten, or someone else is driving, in the series. in fact, i couldnt even really picture Takumi driving anything but the AE86 until I watched fourth stage, which brings me to my answer: the only real possible car that i can see Takumi driving is Bunta's Impreza -- reasons being that he's already driving it, and seeing his father owns it, it'd probably make it easy for him to get a hold of it if he needed to race. also, he knows the potential of the machine, comparing it to the AE86 on the tofu runs and so forth, so he understands that the Impreza is stronger in a lot of areas when compared to the AE86 (at least that's what i gathered). |

Driving on the road of life.. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 874 Member No.: 3,498 Joined: Oct 2nd 2004 Location: Singapore | Very interesting question, but the answer would be highly dependant on what Takumi eventually decides to do with himself. If he decides to go professional, of course he would have his own race car as part of a team, but as a personal car i would imagine him driving something similar to the race car. Since his driving style seems to fit the rough and tumble of WRC or rally races, i highly suspect it'll be a Impreza WRX STI, probably the one with the new EJ25 engine, since he's familar with Subarus from his experience with Bunta's WRX If however he decides that a racing career is not for him, and the AE86 dies one day (At the rate it's being abused on tofu runs and battles, it will), he'll get something that's lightweight and with a similar high-revving engine and HP output. The Honda S2000 fits very nicely into that niche. I draw this conclusion from the fact that if u anaylise the story, God's Arm and God's Foot are actually older, more mature versions of Takumi and Keisuke respectively. |

Yeah, except for the big R34 GT-R. If Takumi would drive anything, it'd probably be an MX5 or an S2K

That had to have made a huge impression on him in the God Foot race. I can't see him driving anything FWD (sorry EG-6), and don't think he'd go Lexus either (uhh... no). Knowing Bunta, though... if the 86 were to get wrecked... he'd get another one. XD |

the AE86 is a cult classic. It'll always fill a niche in Japanese motorsports. If anything, he'd be hard pressed to find a car that handles just like his ol'faithful hachiroku. Probably the closest thing to it would indeed be a MX-5 or S2K. He could also go for one of them ol'school Soarers. It'd be cool if he came up on an Elise, though.
