Actually, the whole idea of ID6AA is to drift and not hit any walls.

By that, I mean 0 wall taps. Even the slightest one kills your boost.

As for downshifting, try remembering it this way....

Whenever you're drifting, downshift only once the speed reaches the next lower gear's speed before you downshift so that you will maximize your cornering speed.

Also, while drifting, try to do the BC motion really quickly and give the steering a quick jerk rather than turn smoothly like you do in ID5.

is he on a balance setting?? coz i tried the red perky drift setting and i was sliding everywhere. is balanced the best? ohmy.gif what setting do you drive on? and i dont understand why it says > next setting > "20 klm" thing what is this enabling ? that video really helps i totally found out that the jerk motion really helps. i ran a 2'59'644 on akina dh dry. but the wall taps are killing me haha and im using a FT-86 G sport concept car.

Yea hes on balance, I made the same mistake of trying the drift setting on my MX5 and I failed horribly. For the most part on FRs you want balance as your setting, the only course I know where setting matters is snow where you choose the mild (yellow) setting.

That "20km to next setting" means that you have 20km till you can change the setting on that car again.
