go with the modchip if you can.....the DUO 2 SE is only $21 at foundmy.com....a reliable place(thats where i got mine from)....it does the basics with a low count of wires.....the DMS3/4, matrix infinity, and crystal chips are very good but they cost more with some extra features

i downloaded a game called samurai warriors... its a bin file 800mb how i burn. somehow i burned it as a cd-r but it became 699 mb and there was no sound and fmv.

Most likely RIPPED off a DVD.

still doesnt help me to burn the full 800mb instead of just 699... i found out the reason why i was able to burn it as a cd coz my fren created a .cue file that is linked to the .bin file.

Can Some one please help me burn this Initial D Special Stage torrent From Suprnova I use I tried to burn it on Alcahol 120% but it diden't work on my ps2 And yes i do have a modchip.

You need to use a CD to burn it and you need Alcohol, of course. Burn it at 4x speed.

I have a PS2 with the slide card/swap disk and it won't read my burnt copy of IDSS but I know people who have boughten IDSS and it worked on there modded PS2.
If you havn't already, burn IDSS to a CD like Takumi Trueno said on 4x. If that doesn't work then you will probably have to buy the game.

I have uploaded my version Of Alcohol 120% for a short time on Yousendit.com. This is the newest version im pretty sure. Anyways, this one works and I recomeend it. Get it while you can. The link is in my first post. Sorry, but I didnt check everything in the rar. Some things are not needed. Just use the patch and the install.

You can just burn it to a DVD using DVD decrypter.

What is news groups? I googled it but didn't find anything that looked like it had to do with PS2 games.

Just to let you guys know, the slidecard and DVD-Magic trick works really good. I've heard there's a problem with dust getting in the ps2 because the front panel is off the disc tray, but it's not a big problem for me, just try to keep it covered with a towel or something when not playing.

(PS: This may have been covered earlier through the thread, but I only read the first page, so since i'm being honest please don't bash me for hitting a topic already discussed. thanks. )

Also is it ok to request other ps2 games in the torrent section as well?

From previous experiences with xbox modding and playstation1 burning/modding, if the suggested way doesn't work... you need to try other stuff. Since it's said above how to burn it, and it must be a CD, you need to try different brands of CD's. Try CD-R CD-RW, etc, just try small things. Setting your burner to the SLOWEST speed is the best, not just 4x but 1x if possible.

Ummm... Alcohol 120 says that my CPU can't burn RAW DAO, what am I supposed to do now?

It says: Support recording method: DAO, RAW SAO, RAW SAO+SUB, TAO, DVD DAO

EDIT: I have burned games before tho, but they usually have errors. I've used RAW SAO + SUB in the past. I have made back up copies of Harvest Moon, BG3, and Gradius V, now I'm trying to make a CD back up of IDSS, but it doesn't work...

How would you burn Kaido Battle 2? After I downloaded it and opened the folder theres 45 files unzipped that are called g-kb2k.part01, g-kb2k.part02, etc.They all seem to have the same files unzipped. Theres no .cue or.bin file but a .ISO. Would It work if I just burn it with the instructions on the first page or is there a specific way to burn it?

use winrar to extract the iso.

Regarding number 3, the person asked this: "i can only select the speeds 8x 16x and 31x, why is that?" By CD image, you mean the file that you download to burn? or the CD that you are burning the file onto?

Oh, and if I can't select 4x, would 8x still be a safe speed?

I got a game like this too. Do you have to burn the Iso from each file onto 1 CD, or is it enough to just burn 1 of them from 1 of the files?

-use winrar on the first file (___.part01) you only need to do it the first file
-extract the ISO to a location of ur choosing
-burn the ISO with nero/alcohol 120% or whatever you want

thats it

My computer can only burn 8x at the least...
