So, I've been reading a few books, but I'd like to get recommendations from others on what I might have passed by.
I've read the Dune books, working my way through A song of fire and ice (Game of thrones) and rereading these Resident Evil books I got years ago. (Funny how Racoon City was the biggest.)

Give some book series that might itch this brain. cool.gif

I'd recommend the Foundation series and Robot series (I, Robot, The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, The Robots of Dawn and Robots and Empire - in this order) from Isaac Asimov, the Old Man series from John Scalzi (also his Redshirts novel is awesome if you are a fan of Star Trek) and The Martian by Andy Weir.

Out of the recommendations I've made I'd suggest The Martian as my top pick.

The Ender Series.

I know it's cliché to recommend those but I don't give a fuck, they were some of the most enjoyable sci-fi stories I've ever read. Say what you want about the author but his storytelling is top notch.

Neuromancer (Gibson), another +1 for the Foundation series (Asimov), pretty much anything by Phillip K Dick.

The Door into Summer by Robert A. Heinlein is another good book as are Nightfall and Nemesis from Asimov.

Better yet, what are some guilty pleasure reads you guys might wanna man up and recommend? I'm open to drama books/etc as well.

Just figured there would be a bigger mass in the sci-fi genre of lit. on here.

One that I liked (still do) is animal farm for some damn reason. laugh.gif

/thread.

In the case of Asimov, I advise starting with the Robot series instead of the Foundation Trilogy.

Jurassic Park. So much better than the movie.
