Just a guy towing a car across the country to chase a dream. Group: FORUM MODERATOR Posts: 9,272 Member No.: 30,193 Joined: Jul 25th 2008 Location: Plymouth, MN | May made it sound like he's not interested in continuing the show without him, so my guess is that none of the 3 recontract with the BBC and that they start up elsewhere. |

Fuck yeah it does, but will something great come out of it? I'm saying yes. Let's just hope the trio stay a trio, maybe add a new face but it stays the same, "informative" car reviews and specials that make us learn something new and not be a bombshell. Just wonder how the stig feels... |

gotta wonder why they didn't say anything when the guy gave several US cops the bird on camera during their trips to the salt flats and such... either way there goes Top Gear UK.

Firing someone for assaulting a co-worker makes you a militant crybaby? I'm a fan of Clarkson, but actually hitting someone is not acceptable.

That's not what I said. Besides, those are two very different levels of wrong to begin with. This was illegal. That wasn't.

If what was illegal? Flipping off a cop? Or do you not believe he actually hit the guy?

My belief has nothing to do with it. That he apparently hit somebody and wasn't led away in cuffs nor charged with battery/assault has my eyebrow raised. Why would the guy walk away from pathetically easy money? It's perfectly legal to flip off a cop, but they can just as easily ticket you for a myriad of vague misdemeanors as a result.

Holy shit, the second white Stig actually managed to not get fired. |

I have a feeling that the trio will probably do their own show if they're still really into wanting to do one (much like Fifth Gear) whereas BBC will probably re-cast Top Gear and relaunch it maybe in a year or two like they did back in 2002 when they relaunched it as different type of show with Clarkson, Hammond and eventually (as of the second season) May as the new hosts.
