Yup, really good quality, widescreen, from beginning to end, dubbed in mandarin, and even comes with an english subtitle file(which is horrible, I enjoyed the movie more not knowing what they were saying rather then sitting there wondering what they were just trying to say "I want to eat people now!"?)

What I learned from these subtitles:
The character's chinese names
(which are:
Tuo Hoi=Takumi
Wen Tai=Bunta
Amu=Itsuki
Liang=Ryosuke
Jing=Kyoichi
Xia Shu=Mogi)
Amu now wants to eat people.
The R32 has 4 engines.
Bunta runs a bean curd shop.

As far as I know.
But it doesn't matter, you don't understand cantonese or mandarin.
and the subs are a seperate file.

I really don't enjoy dubbed versions of the real language but this is the best quality I've seen yet. It's just weird seeing the mouths move to the wrong words... Thanks Though!

It's a sub file, you open it in your video player(for god's ska,e don't tell me you use wmp....) and it'll play.

Are all the versions SVCD/DVD/etc all roughly the same length in terms of the duration of the movie?

i.e. if the movie is an hour and 10 minutes, are all the versions running 1 hour 10 minutes exactly?

ryosuke = liang jie (leung gai in cantonese)
kyoichi = jing yi (ging yat in cantonese)

in the movie they changed itsuki's name from "A Shu" meaning "a tree" to "A Mu" meaning "a wood." i think mogi's name was changed as well

actuallly i used bitlord and it was pretty good i finished downloading it in a day
potential spoiler only read if you already saw the movie
and wtf i never knew the gas station owner was itsuki's dad and i never knew that he was on the team before takumi even raced for the speedstars once :blink:lol and wtf how come the story is completely changed for example itsuki wasnt even driving a ae85 hatchback or whatever i dont know and he never raced nakazato lol teh story is so much changed lol i keep editing this to critisize the movie but is there no keisuke or something? i guess there is no iketani or keisuke

hey axl as with most movie renditions of like anything the story has been changed quite a bit

Can someone tell me how to get the subtitle to work? Any codec - or player that I need to download?

RollAzn download vobsub go to this link and download it Vobsub
and then put the movie and the subtitles into the same folder
and name them the same things like for example the movie is Initial D Movie
and the subtitles will be called Initial D Movie

I got a headache reading the sub, I can't seem to understand what they're saying (most of the time). I wish they'll release a version 2 of the sub file.
