I don't ever remembering Takumi ever mentioning the car whenever he is with Project D. Don't read the manga, so if anyone wants to lay it down for me, it would be cool! |

I find it strange. Isn't that something worth sharing? That he has been driving a completely different car every other day? If anything, Bunta's idea of training Takumi with the Subaru was IMO 50% of why Takumi evolved so fast. Would have definitely explained ALOT to Ryosuke... especially during the time he overcame his 4WD complex and regained confidence in the 86. Guess Takumi never thought it was worth mentioning to Project D, or maybe he purposely doesn't tell them. Although it wasn't like he was keeping it a secret. All his friends knew about it. He made appearances at the gas station in the WRX many times.

Too many shifts in style around the time of the cheating Evo drivers for him not too, he wouldn't necessarily know it was the GC8 but still. *shrugs* |

Yeah! But the only thing that really matters is... Is the Subaru faster than the 86 when Takumi is driving? I don't think Takumi has mastered the AWD yet..

I'm not sure if he would really suspect Takumi of driving a AWD seeing as he has so much belief in Takumi's natural skills. One thing I also thought about is the "other car" that Ryosuke had planned for Keisuke when the FD3S was damaged. Keisuke possibly has a secret weapon that we don't know about as well? Maybe it was just Ryosuke's FC3S? Who knows. Just more food for thought. This post has been edited by TranceKitsune on Oct 10 2013, 06:18 PM |

I would imagine the back up car Ryosuke had lined up was just another FD. I think Kesuke running into the black FD was just more convenient for Project D, since he has already raced against it and the driver was willing to let him borrow it. The fact that their opponents were not that great compared to the usual had alot to do with it as well. Ryosuke could have gave him a Project D van, loaded with tires, and still be confident in their chances.
