OK, this will be kind of a blog of whatever games everyone is playing. But I don't want it to turn into a spamfest, you have to write a couple of lines about the game that you posted ( impressions, likes/dislikes, etc. )

I'll start off :

The game I was playing today is Super Street Fighter II Turbo. It still plays well, despite it's age, and one can easily see why it's still popular in tournament play. Controls are crisp for a game that old, no complaints there. The CPU cheats though, does all kinds of psychic stuff, and does random damage ( most of the time too much ). Very nice game to just pick up and play... wink2.gif

Grand Theft Auto Vice City: its still nice, cos it includes the minigun in weapon set 3 cheat tongue.gif and the missions are basically more challenging than San Andreas and i have no idea why i deleted my previous save data to make way for Hitman Blood Money

Timesplitters: Future Perfect: fun game to kill time with, especially with mapmaker mode to play around with, its just plain fun to rush into a room full of enemies with dual K-SMGs and just unload my bullets upon them

D1GP: its actually fun, nicer than most driving games i've played, and im still learning to prolong my drift, i've gotten the hang of the clutch already

Super Puzzle Fighter II turbo-GBA:

An awesome puzzle game where you group gems of the same color together to make larger gems and detonate them to crowd your opponents screen with different colored Gems.Addicting fun and a great 2 player game. My description sucks but I don't know how to explain it any better trust me this game is great.

Resident Evil 4-PS2:

Great survival game with a new twist on the standard RE gameplay no Umbrella no Zombies 3D levels with a free roaming camera sort of looking over the characters shoulder. Weapon upgrades, expandable health, mini games interactive cut scenes, it is just damn cool and the Boss battles are wild. Beat the game on Normal, beat Op. Ada,beat Seperate Ways now trying to unlock all characters in Mercinaries mode.

Earthbound-SNES:
My favorite RPG ever it's so cute and well done for a 16bit game. Funny characteres and enemies and a good play. Just all around an original game you have to play it to understand I would be typing all day if I explained all the things that make this game fun. Owned it since it came out just broke the old super out and cleaned it now I am in Earthbound Heaven!

BTW does anyone make new SNES controllers or has workinfg originals? I'm down to 1 working controller.

Well...today when I had Shugo over, I decided to show him both Tokyo's highways and Japan's mountain passes, so I loaded up two games. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 and Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift, both for Playstation 2.

I'll start off with Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3:
This game has its moments, back when I was a poster at a small forum dedicated to the game, I found it easy and was pretty good at it. After a few months of inactivity, my skills have become less than stellar. The controls felt really awkward, every car I had posessed the tendancy to slide as if it were on ice. I didn't enjoy it too much, even when driving my 727ps FD3S RX-7. After a single lap on the C1 loop line in Free Run, I got pretty bored, so I turned the traffic on, however, the traffic always seemed to be in the wrong places and interfered with my lines. No longer one of my favorite titles, but it might make a comback on my list if I start practicing again.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift:
I wouldn't really mind this game at all if it weren't for the A.I. Sure, you can try blocking their line, but they'll just go and push right through you, whether you're in the way or not. The controls in this game seem awkward too...but not as bad as 3 because it is a pretty low speed game. Sliding around the corners of Mt. Hakone and Mt. Iroha are pretty fun in Time Attack, however, it gets lonely. A distinctive characteristic of Mt. Haruna (Akina to all you Initial D fans) has been implimented, the gutters. Now, the gutters on Haruna are difficult to use, however, use them properly and you can cut seconds off your time. Again, it is not one of my favorite titles anymore, I was never really good at it. I'd be more excited to play it if they had brought over Chain Reaction or Touge No Densetsu, but we were stuck with the first one, and we have to deal with it.

GTA San Andreas (PC)
I've finished it before, but i've decided to play it again. I'm at arguably the most boring part of the game, which is just beginning to get into San Fierro. Considering the game is based around the whole gangster/ghetto life, the missions inside Los Santos are the most enjoyable for me. This time through though I plan to go out and finish all the extra activities such as getting all the graffiti/photos/etc. spots and dating all the girlfriends. It'll take awhile but I'll get there eventually, but right now I'm focusing on finishing the game.

just played through Syphon Filter Dark Mirror. not bad at all for the PSP & it rated rather high, but isn't quite in the league of similar games that are on the main home consoles such as Splinter Cell & Metal Gear but is still far better then the portable Splinter Cell: Essentials. only real gripe is it is a bit short, i finished it within half a week & thats not with constant playing as i do have a job & other things to do in life.

currently now playing through Mega Man X Maverick Hunter & Mega Man Powered Up.

if you played out the original X on SNES, then maybe i wouldn't recommend Maverick Hunter unless your a big fan, got money to waste or can get it cheap (the latter being the case for me). it is basically just the same game with remixed music, overhauled graphics, same level layout but the weapon upgrades have swapped locations (not a problem if you were good at finding them in the original, i havn't checked if the Hadouken upgrade is still there though). the bosses also have an extra attack to deal with.

up to Sigma now (had the game for half a week now) & he is more difficult when he combines with the large wolf like body. some of my tricks i used in the original can't be used in this new version but i'll find a way. least when it's finished i'll be able to play the game with Vile a bit which'll be interesting.

Mega Man Powered Up though is a game i appreciate more smile.gif nice graphics, nice remixed music, redesigned levels. two new characters, ol school mode with original level layout & music. would have been nice to play the original with the original graphics though.

I love puzzle fighter... I had a lot of great matches when it was in the 'cades.

About the SNES controllers, local used game shops always have a couple for like 5 bucks each... wink2.gif

Damn around here you can't even find any 16bit stuff except for one local private owned shop who are searching for same good ones, I plan on buying 3 more So I will have spares.

Tried to update/improve my PFII description after reading it and realizing how much it sucked still sucks but at least it's a little more descriptive.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. This game is hilarious as the first.

call of duty 2 (x360):

still cant get enough of this game. the guys i play with are awesome. not really much else needed to say about this game. i think it to be the best console FPS ive played. and with enough skilled people, it will make for hours of fun matches.

dirge of cerberus ff7 (ps2):

this is actually the first ps2 game ive really played since i got my 360 in february of this year. it certainly looks and feels very current gen vs playing my 360. it also is not offered in widescree, so its wierd playing it either stretched or in verticle letterbox. for a ps2 game, it looks good. the game is more fun that i thought itd be. its like any other 1st/3rd person shooter, except it has rpg-like leveling and weapon customization, so thats cool. i'm a big ff7 fan, so of course im going to like the game. lol. i think there are maybe a bit too many unecessary cutscenes that take away from the flow of progress, but nothing really fatal.

lego star wars II (x360):

cute and fun game. not much to say other than it would be a lot easier, and probably more fun to play this game with a second person.

Call of Duty (the original) Multiplayer on PC.

Even for a game that's been out for a while and has sequels, still lots of players. Also it has a pretty wide array of weapons available at all times.

America's Army (OVERMATCH) Ver. 2.70 on PC.

Great modern warfare game.. although the new overmatch 2.70 version is really buggy since it has just been released. Anyone that can pass the Escape and Evade for special forces let me know cause I suck at it smile.gif

IDAS on arcade.

It's fun and making cars go fast in the mountains is fun smile.gif

WMMT on arcade.

like IDAS except on freeways XD

IDSS on PS2.

when I can't afford ot go to the arcade nothing beats having the same game at home.

MS Saga: A new dawn on PS2.

Building your own mobile suit army and roaming around the world beating the crap out of anyone you encounter is a win win situation.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. This game is hilarious as the first.

I love that game man... the first, second, and third. Haven't tried the fourth. The first two are the funniest, but the third is a more beautiful game.

Ninja Gaiden Black: Never played the original Ninja Gaiden, but I'm loving this one. So far I've only played the single player story mode, and that alone kicks ass. The first few bosses kicked my ass, but after that the game seems to pick up in pace and I died a lot less. I'm on chapter 10 now, I believe, but chapter nine was the best because I had to take down two tanks, an attack helicopter, and a towerful of bad guys all without saving. Then I almost died because three soldiers with RPG's ambushed me, but I managed to kill them with just a sliver of health left. Right before the end of the chapter, too laugh.gif

Halo 2: I only play this game with my friends, but it's amazing how I'll play a game with a bunch of people who aren't as good as me, kick their asses, and then hear "Well at least I have a life..." even though I only played the game online for about a month after it came out. It was a hardcore month, but it's amazing how much it puts me ahead of everybody else who hasn't played on Xbox live. And I still have a life...w00t! (which is why I'm typing on an online forum at 2:30 in the morning...hehe...I decided not to rush this year so all the frats are partying while I'm stuck in the dorm)

NBA Live 06 (PSP)
- Pretty much biding time until Live 07 get released here in Australia. I've gotten used to playing on superstar-level difficulty, but have lost a few close games in season mode on that difficulty. Still, it's a great game to play on the train going home.

Initial D Street Stage (PSP)
- Picked it up and started playing it again last week. I'm about half way clear on Bunta Challenge and am pretty much playing to custom tune some more cars. My project right now is a 'God Hand tuned' S2000. Still got a few more cards to unlock as well (I'm about 96-97% right now after 50 hrs gameplay)

Starcraft: Brood War

I'v been playing on PGT maps for 2 months. I play Zerg. I love the game but just to be decent you gotta play for around 6 months : (. I think this RTS requires the most skill. Requires alot of micro and macro.

Halo 2

Lately I have been playing a LOT of Halo 2. Back on the everyday schedule. Ranking up online and having fun blocking cheaters. Pwning noobs. laugh.gif

Forza

I have been playing Forza Motorsports a lot now. Since I changed my name it is amazing how many random people add me to the friends list. Lately been setting records on the downhill. Still the fastest AE86 on the downhill in more then 1 class. grin2.gif

Shutokou Battle 01

I am FINALLY getting around to playing the game. It's a lot longer then I would have thought but its very fun and the customization is awesome. I can't wait for Shutokou Battle X which is coming to the US in 2 days.

Posted by: Forza_Semper Fi Sep 24 2006, 12:23 AM
Yeah...I was playing tons of Forza before I got into Ninja Gaiden. Not online though, cause I'm not good enough for that. I just want a realistic racing experience. Not to get off topic, but is GT4 with a steering wheel funner than Forza, in terms of singleplayer?

My Ferret got loose and chewed the wire up on one. I found some in an eBay Store already going to pick them up tomorrow if the game store doesn't have them.

MGS3: subsistence

Really really great game. The 3D cam was a very late and simple addition but it had a very huge impact to the game itself. Even though i've finished the original MGS3 for countless times already, MGS3:subs still hits the spot for me. It never gets old.

GT4

although i'm starting to really hate it already, there's still something about it that makes me wanna play it. Even though i've tried switching back to GT3 quite a few times already, GT3 felt really lifeless for me so i keep switching back to 4. Maybe i'll just add ASM(understeer) until another forum challenge comes up so i'll never have to worry about snapback understeer when doing my TAs. Snapback is the only thing i hate about it anyway and when people reply to me that i just have to do "this kind of setting" or do "this technique" to prevent it, that just makes me wanna hate it even more.

IDASver3

not really playing it much now but i still do whenever a challenge comes up and i just do Bunta Challenge in Happo after winning matches in VS. For the next few months or so, i'll be on complete hiatus from this game to save up enough money so i could buy myself a 360.

WMMT2

i play this much more than IDAS because i love the handling and i have much more experience with this game. The same as IDAS, I just accept challenges when they come up and do level 28 outrun on Hakone after winning matches. Also same to IDAS, I'll be on hiatus from this game completely for the next few months.

The game store should be cheaper, if only for the lack of shipping cost... wink2.gif

I thought maybe the contacts were dirty inside, causing it to be unresponsive. That woul be fixable, but this way you need a new cord... sad.gif

Currently playing:

NFS:HP2 - old game, but I still like the models in the car selection, as they are very crisp...

Call of Cthulhu - a very wierd game with some scenes that makes a person jump... aiming and weapons is odd, but suits the game, and the graphival filter over the games adds alot of atmosphere...

GT4 - still playing it, and its the best racing game I've got...

Vice City - its old, but it new as I've got a real cars mod installed - replaces all the cars and car names with real world cars.

Torus Trooper - a great free arcade game avialable on the net, that requires alot of reflexes... a great game and addictive - goin 9000km-h and shooting things while trying dodge thier bullets is harder than it sounds - especially at that speed!

Posted by: Cowman715 Sep 26 2006, 12:12 PM
Been playing a few actually... I usually never play games...

DDR- SN is comming to PS2 tomorrow so I've been getting back into it lol

Enchanted Arms- Not a bad RPG for the 360... I think this is one of the ONLY ones for the 360 lol. 56% done.

Ridge Racer 6(360)- Haha This game is so wacked. I sware it's like there is a turn right in front of you and you just let go of the accel and you'll clear it... Thoes Achievments are a B*TCH to get though...

Test Drive Unlimited- Not bad... Just wish they had more Japanese dealers besides Nissan.

I'm currently playing:

Diablo 2- old school never gets old. Plus the lenght and Character development compares to any movie. One character can make five? very rare indeed

Age of Mythology- I never played it , and I like mythology so much. Controlling Cyclopses and pegasi are really cool.

Def Jam: FFNY- Whenever I'm down and I just wanna kick some a$$. their blazin' moves look so ridiculously painful. Plus it's so easy and fast. My fighter of 2004!

Spartan: total warrior- Like the Age of mythology, but I can play 1 warrior. it plays like dynasty warriors, but you friends and enemies are more active.

King of Fighters- I have up to 2002. it's more on technique than style, plus 30+ characters to choose from isn't bad either.

idas 3
sc3 (soul calibur 3)

Posted by: w!nd Sep 26 2006, 03:37 PM
games i've been playing:

Devil May Cry 3 - i still cant figure out why the hard mode in japan is the normal mode in america. this game is fun even though i think its hard as crap. i have literally died like 50 times.

Hitman:Blood Money - really fun game. sort of easy. if you cant go with the stealth killing just unload all your guns. fun to try different ways to complete a mission. and i must say the ending is awesome.

GUN - easiest game you'll ever play. its fun but replay value isnt that great.

games i want to play - F.E.A.R. and BLACK

re-addicted myself to Tekken 5 for PS2: The game just doesn't get old. You can always find a new character to master, and if you put it on ultra hard... it's no cake walk =D

Racing Lagoon (PSX)

Oh...my...God...

One of the greatest games ever, despite my being unable to understand it. Those who know the story are very fortunate, as they can fully immerse themselves in the plotline. From my year or so of playing it, I've gathered my own summary of what I could understand. 1999, you start off as a new member on the Fastest Team in Yokohama, "Bay Lagoon Racing". You progress through the games through individual nights, as the nights progress, you become more and more involved in the world of Street Battles, and corrupt car part dealers. The company "Won-Tec" is developing some sort of pill, my guess is as good as anyone elses, but I'm assuming that the pill is meant to focus the minds of Street Racers and turn them into incredible drivers. Along with the pills, Won-Tec developed a type of tune called the "DIABLO". This tune turned the cars into monsters. A certain DIABLO monster was created 10 years ago, a DIABLO Zeta (300ZX irl). The Zeta, along with its driver were both destroyed in a firey accident, and since then, Won Tec has been developing its pill, tune and searching for drivers...
The graphics aren't at all on par with the games today, but they were good for their time. The handing combines that or Ridge Racer and Gran Turismo, and I find it enjoyable. Some of the cutscenes near the ending of the game are deep, some of them frighten me. An intense game, and with an unlimited variety of car parts, bodies and engines to combine.

Bump.

I'm currently playing http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-68-49-en-70-2ju.html for the GBA. By all means, this game should have been the one Atlus brought over instead of Original Generation. But the conglomerate of unfamiliar mechas/characters would have probably been a turnoff for casual gamers. Then again I think Banpresto was the one who suggested OG as an introduction for the American market. Regardless, SRW D makes for one nice little import. I played through SRW J and SRW R, and comparatively speaking, SRW D does not disappoint. Though I may just be biased since the game starts you off with my favorite mecha, Shin Getter Robo... plus the only appearance of The Big O in SRW elicits some heavy fanboy drooling from me. The story paces well from what I have played so far, the pixels are spot on, and the bleep-bloop themes from each anime sound surprisingly good. The replay value is looking high for this game, and I have yet to finish it.

I've been playing Gundam Universal Century Climax (or Gundam U.C. Climax for short) to keep me occupied for 2 weeks until Final Fantasy XII is out (and when I go pick up my spiffy Collector's Edition version).

For the uninitiated, Universal Century refers to a set of Gundam TV/Movie/Straight to Video releases that focus on a specific timeline. The original Gundam series from the late 70s was the first in this U.C. timeline (in terms of the TV shows and what not). The original was followed a few years down the road by shows like Zeta Gundam, Double Zeta Gundam, straight-to-video releases Gundam 0080, Gundam 8th MS Team, and a few others*.

Unlike previous Gundam games that focused on one of the TV shows and added a few other mobile suits/mechas, this game features nearly all the major mobile suits from across the U.C. timeline. The only exception was that suits from Victory Gundam and Turn A Gundam were not included since both of them take place a long time after the original and it was felt that if their suits were included (namely the V2 Gundam) that the other suits would be totally overpowered.

It's a great game and only the third U.C.-oriented Gundam game I have owned (I previously owned Gundam vs Zeta Gundam, but I beat it and gave it to a friend of mine), and I must say it's a great game.

It also has a Create-a-Character-ish mode, I say this since you kind of are stuck with the one custom character (Tachibana) and can edit his stats (the cool thing is when you start this mode you get to pick the type of personality your character has, I always go with Hot Blooded). After a certain point this gaming mode you have the option of marrying one of three characters (a female pilot, female bridge operator, or a childhood friend). The offspring from your "marriage" ends up being your next character. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/megascore/0db384b7.jpg

* - the others include the Char's Counterattack movie, F91 Gundam movie, Victory Gundam TV series and the one Gundam series that is supposed to bring all the previous works together (including the non-UC timeline ones) called Turn A Gundam.

Some pictures from the game:

Today, I played Time Crisis 4 for the arcades.

I really like the cabinet, hardware, music, graphics, characters, action, and gameplay. This is probably my favorite Time Crisis as of now. I am not really that good in terms of scoring (the highest I have is about a little more than 5 milliion, the pros usually have 6 million or more. This is for solo mode BTW. I don't play linked mode much unless I am with a friend.) However, I do know how to avoid the "Crisis Sightings" most of the time and do some cool combos.

I can only imagine on how this game would be like for the PS2 or the PS3 (most likely PS3 though.)

Final Fantasy 9 - idk why but after i finished this game i just wanded to start over again. I bought like 2 of the same copy but one was with insurance so i brought my old copy back and i guess i got a new free copy wink2.gif And you can't forget about Final Fantasy X - cuz i has one of the best storylines along with graphics

I was playing that Derby game in the arcades last week, it's strangely addictive, but frustratingly hard to win at. sad.gif

At home, been playing Magical Drop II and III off and on... wink2.gif Still a very decent puzzle game after all these years, still worth the time to pick up and play. smile.gif

Well, recently..I've been playing Melty Blood: Act Cadenza for PS2. It's pretty interesting. It moves faster than any other fighter I've ever played before. It's pretty easy to combo in the game, but that certainly doesn't imply that it's just a button masher. Here are some screenshots from the game:

I've also been playing Guilty Gear XX: Slash for PS2 as well. I stopped playing it for a little while, but decided to pick it back up again and brush up my Bridget skills and such wub.gif. Hehe. Here are some screenshots from Slash:

I played mainly BF2 for the last little while, the squad-oriented gameplay is just too addicting. smile.gif

I played a game last night with a fully functional squad that was concentrating on capping. There was an a guy who was really good at armor, he took myself ( engineer ) and another guy ( alternating between engi and medic ), in an APC, just rushing around to take flags.

I've just started playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on my cousin's DS. It seems a bit on the short side, but the story seems animated, especially with the main character being quite possibly the most hot-blooded, hot-headed lawyer in a game.

I've also been playing Guitar Heroes at a friend's place and amusing him, and other friends, when I start rocking out while playing Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water. It's quite an enjoyable game, that you can pick up, play a few times, then stop easily.

Someone finally posted in this thread... >_<

I thought everyone forgot about it. sad.gif

I've been playing a couple of games lately :

-Gundam Zeta DX : This game is still a favorite of mine, even though I prefer Feddies vs. Zeon DX over it. The new suits more than make up for the slightly faster gameplay that I don't like, and it's a game that's really easy to pick and play. Lots of fun in 2P , but I wish there was a link option. sad.gif

-Street Fighter 3 - Third Strike : IMHO, still one of the best fighters out there, I've been playing this quite a bit, both at home and in the arcades. Stun Necro FTW!

-BF2 : As usual, I think the only reason that I play this game is because of the squad based gameplay.

-DoW - Dark Crusade : Maybe it's only because it's set in the WH40K universe, but I just can't stop playing this game. This expansion pack introduces the Necrons and the Tau. Haven't played enough with the Tau yet to figure them out, but it looks like it's a very technical army, as you can build it towards 2 different play styles. The Necron however, are just plain cheese... It doesn't take much to win with them, even in online play. They are all power based though, so that makes them quite different to play. wink2.gif

I'm currently playing Akumajou Dracula X - Gekka no Yasoukyoku, better known as Castlevania - Symphony of the Night. First and foremost I'd like thank Apex Carver for helping me find this gem of a game in it's original language. I've always been a sucker for protagonists with a strong character, and this game caters to that need right down to the bone. Not only do we get to see the son of Dracula plow through an intricate castle, but the thickskinned whip wielding hunter Richter Belmont is equally playable if you beat the game. Need I really describe the excellent sprites, the massive replay value, the evocatively rockin' soundtrack, the smooth gameplay, or the fact that everyone reading this post has probably already played this game a gajillion times. Nope, all I need to mention is that Konami has since tried to repeat the magic for nearly a decade, and with the exception of a couple of handheld titles... none have gotten close. Replaying Symphony of the Night after so many years is still like a gravy bath for your eyes, and a Monte Cristo sandwich for your ears. In fact, if it wasn't for family I'd feel pretty compelled to get myself the prequel as a Christmas gift. Konami, on behalf of the nerd population of the intertrons, particularly from the zombie/vampire genre enthusiasts, I salute you. Man, I would so never get employed as a video game columnist, all I'd review is old stuff... retro gaming for the win grin2.gif

I just started playing this one Visual Novel, called Ever17, made by a Japanese company, Kid (which recently filed for bankruptcy). It's the first Visual Novel I've played, I've played a few other similar types of games. However it's interesting in that the voices remain, well Japanese, only with subtitles, and they're not toned down as other games I've played have done.

From what I've read you either take one character, Takeshi, or another character, named (appropriately enough) Kid, to unravel the mysteries surrounding the environment (Lemu) you find yourself in.

GT4: Only playing this for IDW time attacks and such now. But still after nearly 2 years, its still a joy to play regardless of how many people bash it.

GTASA: Oh yes, playing this one after what, 3 years of launch? Anyway, real fun to play, I keep tuning cars and taking them on the big ass bridges, US wangan perhaps? tongue.gif Oh, and the Harrier, gotta love the Harrier. Found out that you could fly it in the underground train tracks... until a train comes whistling.gif

only donwfall is the ridiculous ammount of time it takes for skilling, other then that the game is amazing, the way i see it is, its living a life in a spaceship, players control everything in the game. Now that the new patch is out that added more ships and ship customization option its ownage. Tons of fun stuff to do like kill ppl and get hate mail haha. All in all this game is amazing, anyone interested in ultra in-depth games should give this a try, very slow at the begining but it picks up alot once you figure what youre doing.

Funny... My little brother was kind of pissed how GoW wasn't as hard as everyone is saying... I'm not sure myself but I haven't played it yet... Het beat everything on Insane in about 6 hours... lol

anyway... I'm play Ultramix 4 now. My brother got it for Christmas... But I don't have a Mat for it... He said do you want the Mat or the game before christmas... What the hell did you think I was going ot pick xD

Anyway the game is definatly different from other Ultramixes... Which is of course different from every other DDR because it being made by KECH and not KCET/KCEJ. Quest mode is kind of cool... I just don't like how it is literally impossible to win stage 5 of the beginning levels unless you get the "HOME SONGS" which gives your character a bonus for no reason what so ever... lol

Song selection is nice... some of the steps can use some work... LISTEN TO YOUR HEART! Come on! You use the notes it should have been like once durring the entire song... Shame shame shame... lol

And yet again... Online play is non-exsistant with the lack of players... anyone up for a game? Sorry I'm using hte controller.

All in all it's pretty decent. Definatly worth 30 bucks

Xenosaga III
Way better game then the first two, plus if you've never played the first two games, there's a Xenosaga Bible in the game that will get you up to speed on all the important events in the first 2 games and it is done really well. Shops and weapons are back, thank god! I'm almost done with it and I'm happy with the game, so far.

Final Fantasy XII
The best RPG on any console, IMHO. Taking cue from all of the recent MMORPG's with the combat system and the addition of Gambits, which makes all of the characters act on a preset fighting pattern, like tanking or healing. There is so much content in this game, it's great. The free roaming environment is a great addition to the game. Of course, you can't really make a great game without one now, anyway. The graphics just add to the awesome factor. Someone told me that if you want to beat the game with a 100% completed, it could take you about 200 hours, holy maccaroni! If you own a PS2, this is a must have. The only complaint I have with the game in the 1.5 hours I've played it, is the camera controls, but it's not that bad.

Rainbow Six: Vegas
Only one word can describe this game: Awesome! The enemy AI tries to out flank you and gang up on you, it's intense. They talk shit to you, too. If you are a fan of GRAW or Rainbow Six, then you must buy this game.

Call of Duty 3
The best WWII FPS game I've ever played. It really is interactive. You play as 2 different people, one man is fighting for the US and the other is in the British SAS. The US missions are just balls out run into the gunfight like a cowboy and shoot anything that moves till the only thing left are you and the rest of the US troops. The British SAS missions are alittle more low keyed as you are working with the French resistance and doing things like blowing up strategic Nazi weapons posts and stuff like that. I played it for 4 hours straight when I bought it, it was that engrossing.

GT2, and GTclassic. I love driving the LM Del Sol with 500 HP.

I got my Escudo up to 280 on Test Track with opponents.

Ridiculous lap time, under 43 seconds.

I would also be playing GT4, but i don't own it. Adn my friend who does have it, I made him buy the 88Concept Camaro, just cause it's the only 3rd Gen in the game. I think it needs more tuning porperties though, I mean, it works better with a N/A setup, than a Supercharger, what kind of crap is that? I should be able to tune the boost levels and whatnot. the drivign experainac eis only half of a car, we need more options like how ridiculously the suspenion has.

I also have been doign a lot of research with a C230 Sports oin GT2 for my Phazer. They are almost the same in how I want them to work, but the C doesn't have as big a motor I plan on using and is turboed instead of centrifugalled.

The design is alos different, yes, but I can still use it to tweak how fast the car goes throught the transmission.

Beaten Carbon once and I never touched it. NFS isn't what it used to be. I used to play NFS4 and NFS6 a couple of months ago, but now I'm losing interest in NFS after what it became. A ricer's paradise.

I still play GT4, and a game called Racer Free Car Simulation. It's a car game that you can download for free from a website (www.racer.nl) meant to recreate real-life physics of cars. The game is still at beta stages, but it's very good fun, especially if you have a steering wheel. I wouldn't recommend playing the game without a controller or a steering wheel because the controls are touchy and you need to be precise.

Very nice game to just pick up and play... wink2.gif

haha. i play street fighter 2 for Sega and Super Nintendo. once a week with a buddy of mine. for money. usually $5. but i always win.

he gets mad when i do bullshit leg sweeps

what we do is, we use all the characters if that char. gets elmilited (sp?) you go on to the next char you havent used it. or dead.

GT3 and GT4.

still play Starcraft on bnet. once in a while. its a old game but still a classic.

Mega bomber man for sega. great game if you have a bunch of friends over.

Golden Eye for 64.

Mario kart.

and...world series of poker on my phone.

It depends. If you can learn the new stuff, like hunting, choosing different camouflages for different places and injury treatment, yeah. BTW, the Officer uniform makes the whole game worth the challenge =D

You probably should, MGS1 is the best IMO... I've beaten over 10 times, atleast once on every difficulty. I've played all the MG games, and here is how I rank them.

MGS1 > MG2SS = MGS3 > MGS2 > MG(not going off into the side series)

Anyways, I've been playing alot of Guitar Hero 2 on PS2. I'm not much of a rythm game fan, but I like this game and its a real fun party game for guys and girls. I've had it for a bit more then a week and I've just passed my first Expert song(Mother).

On the side, I beat Okami a few weeks ago(greaaaaaaaat game) and started FF12 back up again, but I just can't really seem to get into it. I also just picked up Rogue Galaxy, so if I ever lose a finger or get bored of GH2, I'll probably start that up.

Well, for some reason I can go back and play games released nine or ten years ago that I liked back then--like Starcraft, Goldeneye, and Zelda: Ocarina of Time--but I can't try new ones from that long ago. I guess nostalgia is what powers me through.

Medal of Honor: Rising Sun

Fun game, but a really shitty AI...Many of the opponents just stand there and actually take about 5 seconds between each shot to aim...

My cousin got pretty far in the Guadalcanal level by just pistol whipping all the enemies dead up-close without firing a single shot, until he got killed by a bayonet stab...Pretty pathetic he was able to do that... tongue.gif

I've played a lot of Pump It Up New Xenesis recently at the arcades. If you didn't notice yet, it is the newest PIU mix.

I found the new rating system quite interesting (stars, skulls, and the question marks to show how hard a song is at a certain diffuculty.) I also like dancing on the 5-panel format like in the previous mixes.

I like the fact that most of my favorite songs are there (especially from Korean rock bands such as Novasonic, N. EX. T., Crying Nut, and Crash.) Furthermore, some of the newer songs such as "For You" by N. EX. T., and "Final Audition Episode 2-1" and "Chimera" from Yahpp really rocked.

I dislike seeing Chimera's evil stepcharts on Crazy and Nightmare. And I really envy people who can beat this song on these difficulties for that matter.

Overall, this is my favorite PIU mix ever. Unfortunately, the arcade that I go to that has this game will not have this mix for long (according to one of the employees.) Instead, they are going to downgrade it to PIU Zero (luckily it came out in the same year as NX, but way earlier.) From what I know, the song list is just as good as the one in NX (I'm glad about it.) But I will miss playing Chimera on Normal and Hard, and miss Another Truth's Another Freestyle stepchart.

Oh well, the experience has been enjoyable and worthwhile nonetheless.

Still working my way through Gears of War on hardcore. Also, I've been playing the occasional F-Zero GX on the Wii. Both are pretty challenging and are at times frustrating, but I keep coming back for more. I'm looking forward to playing Windwaker and Metroid Prime once I've finished up.

I'm also looking to finish up Halo 2 and Ridge Racer 6, but those aren't so high up on the priority list.

I've been playing Twilight Princess on Wii lately. For some reason it doesn't feel as in-depth as Ocarina of Time to me, but then again I was much younger when I played through OoT.

Aside from that I go for hours on end playing Wii Boxing (skill ~2500 now hahah) or Guitar Hero 2... gotta love Free Bird!

You should pick up Shaolin Monks, not only is it more fun then MKA(fun co op), the VS mode is actually considerbly better and more balanced then MKA. Many MK fans agree that if Midway would adopt the SM system and rehaul it to be a fully fledged fighter, it could be a very fun SSB type fighter.

My roomate and I(fighting game fans) still play SM VS mode, where as we both ditched MKA about 2 weeks after it came out =S

Diablo 2:LoD
- I don't know what it is about Diablo, but everytime I go off and play another game and get bored. I always seem to go back to Diablo. Probobly because it was so freaking addicting 6 years ago..AND STILL IS!

Street Fighter:3rd Strike
- Well, the people who still play this classic will know why I still play. You gotta love the street fighter series.

Counter-Strike: Source + 1.6
- " BOOM-HEADSHOT! " I just love fps games, when it comes to FPS. I usually hang around DoD or CS.

Posted by: Kettu Mar 19 2007, 07:28 AM
Devil May Cry 3: Just cant get enough of it, gameplay is something out of this world currently ss ranking easy.

Counter-Strike:Source: Best FPS. And great in short sessions.

(Soon to be playing) Final Fantasy XII: Have high expectations for it!

Tetris: The classic. It's so puzzling...

I was playing Superman Returns for the PS2 a little while ago. Not the best superhero game imho, but it's certainly a good start. I loved being able to fly up into the sky and looking for baddies then flying back down at super-sonic speeds, or battling giant enemies and tossing cars at them.

Edited: hahaha, there's even this one SUV that sorta looks like a Subaru Forester... Hahaha, here's me battling giant metallo:

"Oh crap, metropolis is in trouble"
*looks around - sees a the red SUV*
"Lend me your power Subaru!!!"
*Grabs the SUV and throws it at Metallo*
"Hehehehehehe...".

I've been playing Final Fantasy 1-3 recently (for GBA and DS). I got around to finishing 3 a week ago but I want to try to power level the special class (DS exclusive) based on the original NES main class (Onion Kid in NES, Onion Knight on the DS). I also finished Final Fantasy 2 and must say, although its leveling system is easy to use, I am surprised not many console RPGs use it.

It makes a lot of sense to have characters upgrade their abilities based on what they use. It's one of the novelties of the FF 2 leveling system I liked. Use a sword a lot? Bang, your ability to use it increases (although this one is a bit more common in console RPGs). How about increasing your HP? Get hit in battle and you gain more HP as you level up. I just really liked that approach, it's too bad Square Enix hasn't used that system since (at least not to my knowledge).

Gauntlet Dark Legacy (Gamecube)

I played Gauntlet Dark Legacy off and on for the arcade and PS2 for several months ever since playing Pump it Up New Xenesis for the first time. Lately, I got back into the arcade and PS2 versions a lot. I then decided to try out the Gamecube version and I really liked it. The Gamecube graphics are arcade perfect, the pathways follow the arcade real closely, and I can use the X-Ray Glasses and Anti-Death Power anytime I chose after obtaining them. Great experience indeed.

Didn't play a lot of games recently, although I have been playing through DoW's Dark Crusade expansion's Campaign Mode. It is a really enjoyable campaign mode, but that might be because of my being a 40K universe fan. laugh.gif

I started using the Tau, they are not bad, but take a LOT of getting used to, since you either go all melee or all ranged. Their hero cannot even do melee combat, so it's unlike all the other armies' heroes... >_<

Talking about RPG's not finished, I have this sudden urge to try and finish Beyond the Beyond... >_<

That RPG really earned the "crappiest RPG on PS" title. All I can think of is how bad it was. Repetitive random battles, crappy battle system, really bad battle graphics, the whole rushed feel of the game.

However, I started it, so I shall finish it one day. sad.gif

They started originally on the Sega Master System (apparently when it was released in the US it was the highest priced game ever at that point). The system for some of the earlier games were kinda like Dragon Quest if I can remember correctly. It would be safe to say it's kind of like Sega's RPG classic (like how Square Enix has Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest).

I am not too sure how it's been selling in North America these days. I think that Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast was ahead of its time for online RPG gameplay.

For more check out the wikipedia entry on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantasy_Star_series.

Also, I wanted to add, since I got the final Xenosaga title (Xenosaga 3), I'm starting to play Xenogears, with the goal of playing it, then Xenosaga, Xenosaga 2 and then Xenosaga 3 in that order.

Well, about 2 weeks ago I beat Indigo Prophecy(Farenheit in EU and Japan) on PS2. I would say it was a really great game but it seemed really rushed towards the end. It went from like a kind of a realistic mystery/thriller to the Matrix. Overall I liked it, but the beginning was just so spectacular, but the ending was a real let down.

I also beat Shinobido, which is a ninja stealth action game by the creators of Tenchu 1 and 2(Wrath of Heaven, Fatal Shadows, and Z are all by a different developer). Although it lacks alot of polish, once you get the hang of it, its really fun! Crow is just so much more mobile then the Tenchu ninjas, and his stealth kills are so much more useful(for example, theres one you can do to an enemy standing above you while you hang from the ledge, one you can do to an enemy through those paper doors or whatever). Plus, its a really open story line - you chose to work for the 3 various feudal lords doing missions, and to progress the story you just have to do a story mission. Plus its got a mission editor. I could really see myself going back to this one because its so easy to just jump right in to.

Yesterday I beat Disaster Report(also for PS2), and let me tell you, that was a good game. Innovative concept(its a survival horror dealing with natural disasters), great plot, great atmosphere. The graphics were decent(it came out in 02, so they are dated by modern standards). My only real gripe is sometimes the controls were kinda clunky, and combined with a fixed camera for 50% of the game, this lead to a few unnecesary deaths. Overall, I loved it and can't wait to play the sequel when it comes out(Disaster Report 2 in Japan, Raw Danger in the US/EU). Comes out the 12th of June for PS2. Oh, and if you have the Rez Trance Vibrator, I hear it works with this game too XD

Next up: I got alot of games to go through... Bujingai: The Forsaken City, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, Steambot Chronicles, and Odin Sphere. Probably going to play Bujingai next, I played a few minutes of it and it seemed really flashy and cool, like DMC. Plus I hear its pretty short, which is something I need with all the games on my plate right now.

Musou Orochi: What do you get if you mix Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors? More of the same, really... Though in my case, that's not a bad thing. xD

Nothing like overthrowing a few warlords after a hard day at work/uni. xD

Control-wise, only the L&R button functionality has changed, with L2/R2 to swap between characters in your 3-man/woman team, R1 to do a special attack that eats into your musou bar (which lets you do even better special attacks when full), R3 to change map display, and L1 and L3... i dunno.

Story-wise, I'd like to say it's based on historical events, thoguh this's just more something for the fans of the musou games series. Basically you're out to thrash the bad guy who brought both series' characters within the same timleline, and that's about it. Well, for a hack n slash game, I suppose you can't expect much.

Racing Lagoon. One of the best driving games of all time
Genre - High Speed Driving RPG (Yeah you heard me, Racing and RPG packed in one game)

One of the games that could rival Initial D imo, it's just not really famous, never got to reach US and never had an english translation (all ver are JAP), no anime too. The only similarities that I could find that is the cars you start with are like the same, your character's starting car is an 86-Levin, and you better know what's the starting car in ID

A couple weeks back I beat God of War on God Mode and then finished Challenge of the Gods. I absolutely love that game but I'm not willing to shell out 50 bucks for the sequel... I'm waiting for a price drop. tongue.gif

At the moment I still play IDver3 just to get a racing fix, but at home I've been playing the hell out of FFTA.

I started a few days back and I've clocked in 12 hours with around 40 missions completed! The Laws and Judging system aren't so bad... just the first few times I had to soft reset because I forgot to check what the laws were. The game is reaaally addicting but I'm thinking of picking up something else to play concurrently so I don't kill it.

FFXII, RE4 (Wii), Phoenix Wright perhaps? Who knows.

I've been playing Ridge Racer V for some time (my brother picked it up in the US on Monday with a friend on a day-trip). Trippy game for its era, great drifty physics too.
I plan to revisit my old-days and play Racing Lagoon, which i've liked for the concept after i got FF7-(battle-scarred after 6 years) and maybe pick up Armored Core: Last Raven as a rental ( I CAN'T BUY IT ANYMORE !!).LR was hands-down the BEST PS2 AC game of all time-good graphics, multi-branch story-line bit the learning curve is enough to throw controllers and break discs...

I bought this a while back, when I thought my laptop could run Need For Speed Carbon, but to no avail, the processor was too slow to handle NFS. So I installed this and pretty much forgot about it until a few days ago when I was cleaning out my HDD of old programs and files. I've been playing it for quite some time now, taking breaks from reading my Ghost in the Shell novel.

I still play on my PS2. Fortunately (not to mention, miraculously pinch2.gif ), it's still alive and kicking.

I'm kinda disappointed that he only has a handful of moves with the Yamato though. I kinda wish I could make even more decent combos without having to rely on other Devil-arms since Yamato is my favorite.

FYI, I also wish they add him as a bonus character on later DMC games. He's just too good of a character to only last for one game and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that. biggrin.gif

If they intend to make it canon, I dont think he will appear again. Since DMC3 is a prequel. He is indeed my favourite character. DMC4 is coming... They have a Dante lookalike protagonist... unsure.gif

The misunderstood good guy, I suppose. Capcom said he'll still be a playable character. I'm not sure if they're gonna add a new storyline based on his perspective though. With the amount of stuff they can cram inside a PS3 software, having to play Dante on Nero's missions will just make Capcom look very lazy. dry.gif

Blue Dragon- A very traditional Japanese RPG, i havent gotten into it fully, but the graphics are awesome and the story seems interesting

Lost Planet- I've been playing this foreeeeeever, I only ever play the multiplayer mode now (Ive beaten campaign on all difficulties) and I think online its on par with Rainbow 6 Vegas in terms on fun (minus the little racist children) who doesnt enjoy grappling on to the side of a mountain and have that satisfying feel of hitting someone with a rocket all the way on the other side of the map? laugh.gif

A very addictive 3/4 view shooter ( think Zaxxon perspective ), not too many powerups, the enemies have a good variety. The challenge is just the right level, bordering on a bit hard though.

Posted by: am3pkcet Sep 13 2007, 04:02 PM
i've only had a chance to play two songs on the first game. they seem to all be japanese songs, so its kinda hard if you dont know the rhythms (i knew almost every song in EBA so playing it was easier). it depends on preffrence. like all the US songs have nostalgia or some local cultural ties to the US. so its kinda hard for me to judge since i dont know really any of the songs on osu. i liked the songs i did play though. but i'm saving playing it for the plane ride home, since its about 10 hours of flying :-/

Try reducing the difficulty, although you shouldn't have to.

If you want to make DMC3 a bit easier, try using Gunslinger or Royal Guard styles. They're what I use for Heaven Or Hell.

Just downloaded the BMW M3 Challenge a few days ago (it's a free game). The physics engine is pretty bad, the car understeer severely during corner entry, and spins out on the slightest amount of throttle during corner exit. And even though I turned off all the driving aids, there is still some amount of traction control on, that makes drifting impossible. BMW made this game supposedly to show off how good the car is, but I think the got the complete opposite with this game. If the new M3 handles like this in real life, I definitely won't buy it.

Was given Rainbow Six Vegas for my birthday; very different from the traditional run and gun games im used to. But despite the adjustment, its crazy fun. Very realistic in terms of taking cover appropriately and shooting while under. Haven't had a chance to play online much, still working on the campaign. Also got a chance to play warhawk. Not as good as i had hoped, but i've only put in a good hour since.

Also got Oblivion. Beat it for the PC but i figured with the extra content on the ps3 version and the HD graphics capabilities, i might as well give it a try and get lost in the game biggrin.gif

Heh, I did some Seven Stars, but I'm on Earthbound now - all the way up to Dalaam / Sixth Sanctuary completed. I don't believe either is available in the Wii Virtual Console yet. wink2.gif

That being said, my latest console endeavour is Mario Party 8 - an all-around fun game; though they did make good use of the ATi renderer for it as well, it's not as polished as Twilight Princess. When it comes to PCs, I phase in and out of Mahjongg / Tetris-style games and testing random FPS / RTS games on Wine. I have to say, since Bungie opened the source behind Marathon, the SDL port has really taken off.

I find it hard to call a game where you have healing powers, uses the magic serum, fight in linear levels, have SMGs more accurate than rifles, and get jumped by the grunts almost every single time (I'm talking about scripted surprise attacks) to be realistic. ermm2.gif

Even though I liked how they amped up the teammate intelligence and made tactical entry procedures alot smarter and safer, dumbing down the rest of the game just to get a few extra bucks from the casual folks isn't exactly an impressive move for me. dry.gif

"Very realistic in terms of taking cover appropriately and shooting while under" I believe that was my quote. Don't know where i mention other aspects being realistic blink.gif In comparison to the other games i've played, this isn't bad. I have Rainbow Six 3 for the xbox, and this is a huge improvement. These games seem like they're released every week so the chances of finding something new are very slim. But it was a nice little surprise for me (haven't played one since the xbox).

Most people that i know bought this game exclusively for multiplayer. So AI doesn't mean much to them, or the linear levels. Probably won't mean much to me either once i get into that, but to be honest, I enjoy games a lot more when i don't focus on trivial things wink2.gif

Import Tuner Challenge (Xbox 360). Haven't touched it in a while thought, doesn't seem as fun as TXR without the full highway... Very nice graphics thought.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted (Xbox 360). I own and have played Most Wanted on Xbox, but I wanted to experience the game in HD, so I picked up a used on Sunday. I can safely say the game is alteast 10 times better on 360, just because of HD and all the little extras (more objects in and around the road, I can also control what time of day it is).

Auto Modellista (Xbox, played on Xbox 360). I've been hunting for this game for sun time now for Xbox, finally found a copy and bought it today. This game is epic! I think everyone should try this game, its too cool with cell shading and the ability to edit your replays etc.

and i'm hoping to finish sometime soon:
Phantasy Star Universe -- Xbox 360
Crash of the Titans -- Xbox 360
Test Drive Unlimited -- Xbox 360
Juiced 2: HIN -- Xbox 360

and its' funny -- even with all these games to complete, i still have an urge to buy more. pinch2.gif

(GBA) Golden Sun: The Lost Age

Oh man, now i remember why I missed playing the 2 game knockouts. I've finished the first one many, many times, but I would always stop playing the second because of the immense dungeons. Now, I'm just stuck at Gaia Rock, with so many more side quests to complete. I'd have to say if I were to do nothing but play this and sleep, it would take me another week or two to finish it.

Drift City (PC):

A free GT-style arcade drift racing MMO. Has a few problems regarding updates and the fact that Asia gets all the best stuff first, but otherwise a solid game. I've been playing since September and can't put it down. It's edged out all my time for other games, too.

haha nice.

Currently, i'm wide aborad from PC to TV XD

PC: Melty Blood Re-Act Final Tuned

Just love the story mode. The unbelieveable unknown sayings (just skip them) and get into battle and just lose xD

PC: Melty Blood Act Cadenza

Just play this when i'm bored. Choose Len and then beat the CPU like never before.

PC: Counter Strike Condition Zero (Offline)

You goto practice Counter Strike skills no matter what, and thats what i'm doing xD

PC: Counter Strike 1.6 (Online)

Just played today with khat17 and my ping went up the roof (200 - 400) ~_~ oh well, it was fun anyways

PC: Unreal Tournament III

Beaten the campaign mode. Online players are a bunch of bastards they don't even play fair. 'Oh i need to use cheats this cheat that' NO FAIR MATCHES >.<

Of course i only play those when i'm bored xD

Currently the games i'm trying to beat are

Wii: Trauma Centre: Second Opinion ( PAL doesn't have Bad Blood yet sad.gif ) (Currently doing the X Missions)

I find this game very exciting performing operations on patients, select your weapon (as in operation item xD) with the nunchuk and use the WiiMote and the A button to operate. Its really fun but sometimes very stressing, especially getting to the X missions and that dude keep on saying Death this Death that GOD SHUT UP >.<

So yeah, all those are rarely nowadays with school studies and stuff >.>

I've actually been playing two games lately:

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas
Even though this game is starting to get a little long in the tooth, it's still loads of fun. Running around Sin City with a P90 and shooting up terrorists never gets old.

WinMugen:
For those of you that don't know what this is, it's a piece of software used to design 2D fighting games. It's the same tool game publishers use to create 2D fighting games as well. I've downloaded a bunch of characters from Street Fighter 3, Capcom vs. SNK, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Dragonball Z. I've actually been having a lot of fun with this, especially using the "watch" mode, pitting an Evil Ryu against an overly powerful Broli.

DJMAX Portable 2 (PSP) - Been whoring out 8B. 6B is getting boring, and 4 and 5B are for weaklings.

WMMT3 - MT3 in my college's bowling alley is hard to resist >_<

Posted by: SgtXDNX Feb 6 2008, 12:56 AM
Condemned: Criminal Origins (X360)
Damn this game is creepy. If only Res Evil and Silent Hill had this level of suspense and atmosphere >_>
Brilliant game though. The first-person perspective does wonders for the feel, and the gameplay is really fun.

And IDR, who the hell would let you operate on them? O.O

Aw man, you guys got WMMT3? Here at UC Davis, we have ID4, but I'm still waiting for WMMT3. I've only got another 5 months left at Davis so I doubt it will arrive before I graduate.

I'm Playing Heavenly Sword and Conan. They are both a lot like God of War, but hey, how many ways can you make a game like this without saying, "Hey, that's a rip-off!" Anyway, I'm in the third chapter after 3-4 hours of playing the game. It's been pretty epic so far, lots of flash and blood and people flying around. The puzzles are not hard at all, so far. The boss fights are pretty cool and based on reaction time, well the whole game is based on reaction time, but if you can roll around, you can almost never be hit. When I'm in the middle of a crap load of enemies, I roll into them and use the ranged weapon attacks and spam triangle, but if you use some button combinations, you do some really cool moves.

I've only played the Conan demo on the Xbox 360, and it was another awesome button mashing, blood showered parade of fun. From what I was reading there are boobies in this game. Crom, there are boobies?! laugh.gif After I'm done with Heavenly Sword, I'm going to start playing Conan.

I never gave God of War a try, but a friend of mine at work said it was great and he keeps playing it over and over again on his PS2. After playing Heavenly Sword, I can see how this type of game can be fun and how your controller will hate you aftwards. grin2.gif

By the time I beat both of these games, Lost Odessy(XB360), COD4(PS3) and FFT(PS) should be arriving at my house. A few of my friends at work play COD4 on the PS3 so I bought it online when I bought FFT, and while I was at it, I figured I'd buy Lost Odessy as well. I've asked a lot of people that have played the game if it was any good and they said it's awesome. So, I bought that too.

Right now it's Dynasty Warriors 3 with a bit of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin in between to give my thumbs a rest. I decided to start from scratch too so now I have lots of stuff to do over again, like unlocking all the characters without using the cheats and whatnot. After seeing this Lu Bu Kirby on VGCats I felt compelled to start playing once again.

Gears of War - XBOX360:

I'm addicted to this game (as VTiRoj Knows xD) and I play it alot, I love the campaign and getting online with a few friends. My favourite character for online cog is Cole (Iketani) mainly because I can't get enough of the "Sh*t Yeah!" This game is very enjoyable especially co-op campaign on insane.

Forza Motorsport [Xbox]

Currently, I'm really not playing to complete it, but just customizing the cars. don't have a current pic though. I'm pretty much customizing my R34's, R32's, FD's, and S14's... and Z33's. All I'm doing is using vinyls to make the cars look more sexy... it's fun... I'm also doing the free run and doing time trials on the speedway. The best time I got was 00'42''8XX... I'm not trying... thanks to my Testarossa: my favorite Ferrari.

I really don't play my Xbox (and Gamecube) games seriously because I already completed 95% of the ones I own... I still need to keep playing Need For Speed II and I got that back in December '07 at Game Stop... it's a great game... my AE86 and R34 looks nice. I'll take a pic of 'em and show it to you one day, at a pic thread.

The game that I can't stop playing is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.... I can't stop playing it... I keep on finding new stuff to do... ...

On PC... Star Wars Battlefront II... no internet though... it sucks... and I have just the right amount of RAM to play it... but not enough... 256MB.

Finally got CvS2. Set the comp on highest difficulty and cant even beat the first stage sleep.gif So much harder compared to Marvel.

Still playing Marvel. Fly/unfly Sentinel combos are rediculously hard for me to do

Posted by: mark4000 Feb 25 2008, 08:21 AM
Still playing ArmA. I'm trying my hand at the really fun and easy to use Mission Editor. Not even sure if I'm already half-finished with the mission I'm making since I rarely have enough to time to use it and, whenever I DO get time, new ideas just keep popping up so frequently but hard to implement properly so most of it is spent on trial and error(which is the reason why I need a lot of free time to use the bloody thing).

I've also started playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory again after being royally pissed at GRAW2 PC and uninstalling it once and for all. SC:CT, in my opinion, is probably one of the handful of games that Ubisoft didn't manage to phenomenally screw up.

Posted by: Kitty Feb 25 2008, 01:08 PM
I spent all weekend playing Halo 3, Gears of War, Over G Fighters, and Burnout. But I also picked up a copy of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and I've been playing that in between.

Lost Odyssey - 360
Great music, cool fighting system. Easy to pick up where you left off. Some character designes are cool, some are bleh. Brain power might be required as well as level grinding.

Conan - PS3
Mindless fun, cool combos and naked chicks with perfect boobies.

Heavenly Sword - PS3
Cool combos, great characters. Did I mention red heads are hot? You can shoot people in the nards and you actually have to use your brain on the boss fights.

Posted by: gs68 Mar 18 2008, 10:18 PM
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - PSP (via Dracula X Chronicles)
Trying to get full map completion. Just got the Crissaegrim and figured out what the Alucard Shield + Shield Rod combo. Broken weapons FTL.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon - GBA
I love the Dual Set-up System (combine 2 cards to form different special abilities, a la Gunstar Heroes), and it controls better than SotN (having to double-tap to run aside). I also like the more simplified gameplay. However, the game feels kinda sparse compared to SotN, and I hate the lack of a quicksave feature (which means it's not exactly the game to play on a bus or before class).

After clearing CotM I plan on getting the CV Double Pack, which has Harmony Of Dissonance and Aria Of Swallow.

I also want to eventually pick up Mario Kart Wii and maybe Blast Works Tumiki Fighters. I'll rent Tumiki and hope that they didn't butcher the hell out of it; I'm worried that it'll have what i call GHOST Squad Syndrome (60FPS games getting their framerates shanked to 25), and in a scrolling shooter where so much crap happens, framerate is rather important.

Posted by: DK_2 Mar 18 2008, 10:27 PM
