Laughable sections are the 4wd vs Rwd comparisons and the section on Heel and Toe. Whilst i hate to criticise, as i havent done the work it should really be updated. Top credit to the rest of the site though. Bullwinkle |

IDW Member Group: Members Posts: 17 Member No.: 53 Joined: Oct 21st 2002 Location: Update Profile | vtecstyl3z i doubt it was you not being able to do it, that description is totally wrong. Here's how (practice makes perfect) Drive along in 4th (easiest one to start off with) Now what you want to do is select 3rd without making the car jerk as the clutch is engaged. Dip the clucth quickly and blip the throttle, as you blip the throttle shift down to 3rd, and engage the clucth. Once properly practiced you will be able to do this as quickly as a normal shift. Now what you will probably find is the you rev it to high, or rev it to low, so as i say practice this an know how hard to blip the throttle. Now to combine what you have learnt here with heel and toe, it is essentially the sme thing but also using the brake. Drive along (quite area) at a sound pace in 4th and brake with you toe, then roll your heel over to the throttle and blip the pedal, at the same time as dipping the clutch and selecting another gear, bring the clutch up and either keep the brake pressed or let it up. I allways do this when going into a fast bend, heel and toeing it allows me to set the car up properly, get into the right gear and also brake at the same time. let me know how you get on. |

Once again, all Honda's except for NSX and S2000 are FF. And all Acura's are FF with the exception of the NSX. |

Notice ricers almost always grab the FF cars and rice them up. the Integra (Type-R) is a good car if you take it into concideration and look at the good points of it. I have always loved Integra's i just hate it when idiots rice them up. |

IDforum OG member Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,156 Member No.: 141 Joined: Dec 11th 2002 Location: Ontario, Canada | i'm just making a connection that most "ricers" are simply wannabe dragsters and because ff's are reliable in drag, that's where ricers are mostly at... but yes, i'd agree it's more affordable... which supports my idea that they're simply wannabe dragsters... |

sorry, but i dont quite agree sure, a 4 wheel drive system has an advantage over a rwd, simply because there is double the rubber to transmit the power to the road, but it is well known that fwd cars are naturally bad for drag racing because the weight of the car shifts to the rear during acceleration, creating less traction at the front of the car. So in a fwd car, your drive wheels have less traction, making it harder to get off the line. | ||
