I would never pay that much

The car would have to have super low miles, excellent paint, no rust or dings, and excellent interior with no tears or rips at all for me to pay that much for one.

My friend just picked up a non turbo FC for 500 with messed up motor. He told me it was only gonna take a grand to get it up and running good.

My bro payed 3G's for a 90 turboII FC, and it was in excellent condition except the leather seats were cracking a bit. All good none the less happy.gif

Yes... RMS13 is the chassis code for my particular 240. Like FC, FD, etc.

My car was professionally restored before I bought it and made an appearance at the sevenstock show. It was pretty much a brand new car when I bought it. NEW engine(20k now), rebuilt/clipped turbo, suspension by KYB, complete new interior, new paint job, new drivetrain incl. street/strip ACT clutch... I would GLADLY pay 6k for a new performance sportscar, where else you gonna find that price?

Jayson: how much was your FD, how much till it runs?

there are 2 types of rx7's though... actually three... but you have to distinguish between the two since we talk about both of 'em...
you should also distinguish between an s13 and a 240... even if it has an s13 code, to avoid confusion since the two are different cars...

ko's happy.gif RX-7 owns anyways, so it's all good

I payed 2G's for my FD. I could have it running with another 5 or so. But I REALLY want to get a 20b. So thats my goal

So lets see, I could have an FD running for 7G's with a brand new engine, or I could buy an FC for 6G's. rolleyes.gif

EDIT: You go Tainted! tell that fool whats up! tongue.gif

That's why I put RMS13 instead of just the usual S13. Anybody that knows anything about Nissans knows what a RMS13 is. You've heard of the RPS13 right? RMS13 is the American counterpart.

Fool is defined by someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Jayson, in this usage, you are the fool since you didn't know what a RMS13 was and corrected me.

Aw, but I did. There some people who see S13 and actualy think of an "S13" and not a 240. Just trying to clear things up for people who don't know happy.gif

Like I said.. that's why I said "RMS13" instead of "S13". We've already had this discussion before Jayson. You should take it as a compliment that I took note of this and changed the way I referred to my car.

If it were that simple, everyone would have a 20b FD or are you talking 7k to have it running stock? Cause a 20b conversion would cost about 12k, not including labor... plus I would rather have a FC! I like the lines the car has, FD's are a little too rounded for my taste, das jus me tho...

I do, but still, most people don't know that none the less. happy.gif

EDIT: I'm saying it would cost me 5G's just to get it running, for the 20b alone I'd pay that much, if not more, then to get it fitted with all the emissions stuff and actualy get it in the car, thats more like 20G's I've hear >_< Hopefully it won't cost that much sad.gif

I'm getting an '85 Corrola SR5 hatchback in a trade for my CRX Si. It already has a Silvertop 20V in it but it needs to be rewired to a new ECU in order to run properly. Not bad for a daily driver...but the upkeep can be costly and rewiring for the ECU will take a lot of time and patience and a lot of cross refrencing between wiring diagrams. Not a cheap car to own and I'll still have a lot of work to make GT-S or better spec. It has GT-S interior(including dash), 20V Silver-top motor, Intrax springs, Tokico shocks...I'd have to install a Cusco LSD, and Tanabe springs and shocks...but at least it's a start.

$6Gs for a Turbo II?!?!? Haha...an FC better suck me and uhmm well...nevermind, for that much!!! That would have to be a perfect low mileage pristine '88 RX-7 w/ perfect white paint...EVEN on the wheels. I like Turbo IIs and all but I would not pay that much for one. I'm talking to this guy about buying his '91 FC white in cherry condition w/ BPU, suspension, and BBS wheels for $4K. He's not ready to sell it yet...but I'm considering buying an FD. If stuff really start going good maybe I'll pick up an NSX instead but I'm not really looking forward to those car payments on either car. For anyone interested ni an FD for sale this shop is located about a half hour from where I live in Addison, TX (north Dallas) and they sell like the most FDs in the country...they come w/ 2 or 3 year warrenties too!!! www.LAMotorcars.com (Actual warrenty is from Rotary Performance - Ari Yallon).

My friend picked up his FC for cheap...he traded a $500 tranny (automatic Hurst style) for an FC plus $350. Not bad gets rid of a tranny that he didn't want anyways and in exchange he got an FC plus $350. Then I went drifting in it happy.gif . Bent on of the wheels...but I got him a new one...the car is a piece though, I'm going to have to work some bondo onto it in areas of body damage and we've been gutting the cats for the past two days, and for some reason before gutting the cats the primary cat would glow orange and it would spit out dual blue flames under any kind of load. So it's not the cats...so next step we rip out the motor and either rebuild it or find a wrecked Turbo II and rebuild that motor...we also have an LT1 sitting in the garage but we'll have to rebuild that and put a T-56 tranny or maybe just a T-5 tranny and put that in the 7 since my friend is low on cash (his '69 Camaro eats up all his $$$ in gas). Just some ideas...

I have to get a 7 or an RX-7 soon...I think Steve Kan and the rest of the RX-7 boys are getting tired of me showing up w/ the Firebird. A line of about 25 RX-7s in a row cruising on a Wednesday night and then a blue Firebird behind the pack. Cars are pretty quick... happy.gif
