That would be Hatchiyack. He was in the OVA The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, which will be reanimated and included with the game to explain his being there.

You know, I think I remember seeing that OVA on Youtube a few years back.
I'll have to look it up.

Yep, Android 14 has been confirmed. He and Hatchiyack are only 2 of the 6 new characters introduced so far. Android 15 is expected. I'm also expecting some crazy exclusive Super Saiyan character like Super Saiyan 3 Gohan or Vegetto/Gogeta. You never know what the hell these guys are planning.

A super saiyan 3 Gohan would be Interesting. Also I don't they don't Include anything from Dragonball GT. Anyway, I like the inclusion of Android 14 and maybe 15.

As Androids 14 and 15 really didn't have any special attacks in the movie they appeared in, I'm not excited about either or both of them appearing. Their role in the movie was to provide basic menace before Trunks and Vegeta beat the shit out of them, and then to become fodder for Android 13 to absorb.

SSJ3 Gogeta or Vegeto would be freakin' boss.

Speaking of SS3, I hope that Vegeta and Broly won't have their SS3 transformation as a separate character this time around.

Android 13 (duh, with 14 and 15 here...) and Zangya will also join the list.

Android 15 and Doore, one of Cooler's henchman, have been confirmed as new characters.

Vegeta and Broly's SSJ3 forms have been confirmed as being separate characters on the selection screen.

There are still 2 new characters and 2 "what-if" characters to be revealed. I'll keep this thread updated when things happen.

Excuse me if this turns out to be a stupid question, but is 11/11/10 also the US street date?

US street date is still listed as Q3 2010. I'd bet on it being released within a week of the JP release date.

A little bird told me that one of the what-if characters is fusion-related. I'm now praying so hard that Vegetto gets some love.

Cuz you know we've all been waiting for an Elder Kai Ability Unlock version of Kibitokai.

Tiencha. Man do I hope. Since it's already confirmed that the game has unloved characters like PuiPui in it, it would be icing on the cake if Tiencha were revived from Budokai 2 and slapped in. I think with that in place, this game would have every single character and form that my brother and I are interested in. Best DBZ game ever.

I'd be sated if they'd include the failed fusions from the Budokai series. Fat Gogeta needs the fart attack so badly.

Sadly, none of this matters in the online competition. Raging Blast 1 was completely ruined because everybody chose SSJ3 Broly. What better character than an overpowered brute that doesn't flinch from regular attacks AND isn't chained down by the usual speed debuff applied to large characters?

The same will happen with this game. There will always be a SSJ4 Gogeta-esque character that breaks all the rules, which everybody will use online for fear of losing. F**k that, I'll kienzan your ass all day with Krillin/Android 18, or make you hate life with the punishing moveset of base Vegetto. BANSHEE BLAST, NIGGA.

Well that's going to be terrible. Tarble was coined off as a weak character that couldn't defeat Frieza's henchmen. What good will he do here?

Admittedly that is a pretty great ultimate. Ranks up there with General Blue's from TB3.

UPDATE: Funimation just confirmed that the pack-in OVA will not be dubbed, but will have subtitles. Buttsauce.

Yeah. Production art or just a farce drummed up to get people amped for the game? I can't tell just yet, but it's an interesting look at what could be.

The full char list is shown round 2:30, there's a epic looking pic above tarble, so that could be the what-if guys. Also I don't see Gogeta in the list, unless it's next to videl, but it looks like that's Mystic Gohan. I might be wrong on that...

Gogeta is three spaces to the left of Goku, so he's there.

TOP ROW: Broly, Dabura, Bojack, Vegeta (Scouter), Gogeta, Goten, Gohan (Kid), Goku, Vegeta, Bardock, Freezer, Captain Ginyu, Guldo, Kui, Android 13, Android 17.

The "epic picture" looks like it might just be the custom character select slot, since closeups of that spot reveal that the character there doesn't have a head. The two what-if characters are not there, and it makes sense considering Bandai hasn't revealed them in print yet, so I believe this tech demo simply doesn't have them unlocked so as to keep them under wraps until the time comes for them to be revealed "properly".

Another explanation would be that the two new characters are transformations of an existing character, and thus don't show up on the select screen.

A demo has been released, with 4 playable characters SS Goku, Kid Buu, Dabura and Ultimate Gohan. 2 stages on rocky or ice. And that's about it. but you get a good idea of how the fights go, and let me tell you, they're really really REALLY fast now.
