anybody got proper mp3's of those 2 tracks? i know his album's not out yet but they are officially out on mp3 if you purchase the J-iii mp3 player but since it's too damn expensive, kinda hard to get. i did, however, get to hear his new track "All the way north" (Yi Lu Xiang Bei) and so far, i'm diggin' it. not like something you'd hear from "Initial D" but it is a nice change of pace. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Official Initial D Live-Action Movie (HK Version) Album Art Track Listing 01. Heres a repost of the song with yousendit All the way North |
Posted by: tinlunlau Jun 4 2005, 12:49 AM |
now if only that same samatarian would upload all the other songs.... rough translation All the way north lyrics: Vincent Feng composer: Jay Chou * The world in the back-view mirror, bids farewell further and further away You turned around facing your back, you look beautiful from the sideview I chase you down with my own eyes and heard you crying. Passing by outside my car, I realized I lost my chance The position from which you stand, is distanced between tears The streets keep pushing back, you collapse outside the car. I've headed all the way north, leaving the seasons of your presence You said you were tired, unable to fall in love The winds blow by the roads, the past images were all my fault I feel ashamed that I've hurt several times. Repeat * I've headed all the way north, leaving the season of your presence The compass is all over the place, pointing to my regrets I've pumped for more speed, but I couldn't get away from the emotional pain Feeling ashamed that I've left you hurt several times Stop this cruelty, and let the wrong be bygone.

Posted by: tinlunlau Jun 5 2005, 09:23 PM |
i had no idea that there was a translation done on jay-chou.net already. haven't gone there in months. it was more of a rush job really. |
Posted by: L.I. Phantom Jun 9 2005, 04:28 PM |
Is it just me, or does every time you click on the link jay.zip, it keeps preparing to download? Like it's stuck in a loop? |
Posted by: driftheory Jun 10 2005, 01:51 AM |
Does anyone know when Jay chou's songs will be released? same time initial d is out? |
Posted by: Xibal (ER34) Jun 10 2005, 05:22 AM |
i think it's more on to hip-hop! he's a rapper. isn't he? laugh.gif
He focuses more on r&b. It's pretty cool how he writes most of his songs unlike other artists these days.. |
Posted by: tinlunlau Jun 27 2005, 10:55 PM |
correction: Jay composes all of his songs. he's also very knowledgeable on various musical instruments like the violin, the cello, piano (u should see his wild piano tricks). he is THAT talented. |
Posted by: Xibal (ER34) Jun 27 2005, 11:17 PM |
i love it when he plays the cello |

did u read the earlier posts? right-click and save as... there was a cantonese track? anyway, i saw the track list of Jay Chou's next album coming later this month. no sign of "Piao Yi" and "Yi Lu Xiang Bei" on his upcoming 6th album. i think the mp3's provided here are the only way to grab 'em. |
Posted by: Kakashi Jul 4 2005, 03:44 PM |
It didn't work on firefox, so i had to sue IE. |
Posted by: driftheory Jul 4 2005, 04:45 PM |

Posted by: nightdevil Jul 5 2005, 03:59 AM |
Sweet thanks mate! |
Posted by: lance Jul 5 2005, 04:11 AM |
it works for me but its only 39mbs? |
Posted by: driftheory Jul 5 2005, 04:17 AM |
yeah its only 128kbits (even though it states 192k) so its low quality |
Posted by: eric_89 Jul 5 2005, 06:54 AM |
In my opinion, the soundtrack sucks. Only 1 or 2 songs were ok. Are there people who are desperate for 320kbit quality? I might go convert them and upload for you guys. So, vote! |
Posted by: am3pkcet Jul 5 2005, 12:29 PM |
yeah... it pretty much sucks. |
Posted by: bROCKoLEE Jul 5 2005, 05:16 PM |
Is this the original soundtrack? Cuz it's got all these english rap songs, I admit that i heard it in the movie but i thought the cinema just mucked around with some of the songs to make it more 'english friendly'. What happened to all the chinese songs? I think i got the canto one, iI'm uploading it right now. I don't know what the songs called though so i just called it "Tou Wen Zu D" which translate into "Initial D" lol . But if you want it just keep on checking this post. It should be done in like 2-5 mins. Edit: Tou Wen Zu D BTW Xibal, the OST doesn't have any of the chinese songs. It's just filled all these english raps songs. |
Posted by: tinlunlau Jul 5 2005, 06:29 PM |
This soundtrack was released by East Asia Music (Media Asia's subsidiary record label). Jay Chou is signed to Alfa Music with albums under distribution by Warner Music. Because of the different record labels, the rights to bundle Jay's theme songs in the soundtrack are next to nil. |
Posted by: bROCKoLEE Jul 5 2005, 06:48 PM |
Well, thanx for info. But is there any word that Alfa music will be releasing another ID-Live Action soundtrack or will the songs just be released in one of his albums? |
Posted by: city_hunter Jul 6 2005, 12:32 AM |
I've d/l and listened to the tracks... can't listen by itself... gotta watch the movie at least to feel the effect...they're not as good as music by Move and SEBs in the anime... but anyway thanx for the soundtracks tinlunlau... Great! Been wanting to listen to the canto version... Thanx! |
Posted by: Nomake Wan Jul 6 2005, 01:19 AM |
You rock. Thanks so much! Yaaaay... I don't understand a word, but I like it anyway! EDIT: They're all in English? Huh? And the guitar part in "God's Hands on the Wheel" doesn't sound the same as the one in the movie and trailers. Hmm. I like "We Roll." XD |
Posted by: Xibal (ER34) Jul 6 2005, 04:02 AM
i was crackling up laughing when i heard dat song in the movie
yeah i noe i realised when i got it |
Posted by: Nomake Wan Jul 6 2005, 06:01 AM |
Me when seeing the scene where it comes in: "...did they just say "Get Low" in a Chinese Initial D movie? SWEET!" XD It was crazy. But I like the bass. It's pretty much the instrumentals that I like, not the lyrics. |
Posted by: Xibal (ER34) Jul 6 2005, 07:06 AM |
u noe that instrumental in the 3 way race near the end ahh dat one was funni as well |
Posted by: tinlunlau Jul 6 2005, 08:34 AM
no...Jay's 2 theme songs will not release on any CD, not even his upcoming 6th album. they're strictly bundled mp3's on that j-iii mp3 player. i've checked out the track list on the album. no signs of "Piao Yi" and "yi lu xiang bei" at all. |
Posted by: minwoo` Jul 6 2005, 11:51 PM |
hoho.. thanks alot yeah... rocks.. |
Posted by: an2w3r Jul 7 2005, 03:15 AM |
thnx for the songs,, hope went the full OST album comes out someone will be sharing heheheh |
Posted by: tinlunlau Jul 7 2005, 06:32 AM |
uh...guys.... i don't think that cantonese song is part of Initial D at all. it was meant to be a parody. what that guy says in the beginning of the track Guy: What is drifting? It's just a clumsy road and that awful driver. accelerate....but then what? it looks cool http://bittorrent.frozen-layer.net/archivo.php?id=19142 here's a bt link for the soundtrack this one is 79mb. seems to be of a higher bitrate. |
Posted by: bROCKoLEE Jul 7 2005, 08:49 PM |
Meh, i'm happy with what i got. If there's extra tracks however... |
Posted by: Blizzars Jul 8 2005, 09:43 AM |
hey.. what's the password code thing to extract it? the one you said didn't really work.. ...::'''Edit''"::... never mind I got it working =P |

are you cantonese? Or am I just listening to a different song? well from what I heard he said: "very simple...like drifting. How do you drift? On one turn, pull the handbreak, the car slide alittle bit. Then what? looks cool." |
Posted by: tinlunlau Aug 10 2005, 07:59 AM
yes, i speak cantonese very fluently. you basically translated Chapman To's lines. but you gotta take note that Initial T is merely an online parody of Initial D |

this just in... there is a 2 disc special edition of the Initial D soundtrack to commemorate the Japanese theatrical release of the movie. the 2 disc cd appears to be released in Hong Kong. "Blood on fire" is included as well as another japanese song (however it is only a theatrical edit length). there are also battle tracks (mainly AE86 vs FD, AE86 vs EVO3, and AE85 vs GTR). plus one more instrumental track). the extra disc is basically the making of the filmi and something else. VCD. it is selling for the low cost of $16.99 canadian at MHQ (in Toronto) and other chinese record stores. |

what's that instrumental music that plays in the BG everytime a race is going on, even in the JAP live action trailer. |
Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Mar 5 2006, 02:30 AM
That's the song 'champion' from the live-action OST, track #15 although most songs in the movie are instrumental, the album versions all have lyrics |

I went through all the songs on the OST http://makiii.multiply.com/music/item/1 But I wanted to find the song that is playing in the credits. I zoomed in on the music section at the end and I found these songs listed which I did not see. all stars rage himself / shigeto sayama all the way north drifting Are any of those the song playing during the end credits? Also where would I be able to find that song Thanks |
Posted by: Smiley_DC2 Mar 8 2006, 12:56 PM |
all the way north and drifting were releases on Jay Chou's Initial J album here's a link providing track listing for that album ~ http://www.jay-chou.net/lyrics.php |
Posted by: Smikey Mar 8 2006, 12:59 PM |
Drifting isnt that bad of a song either...I think he needs more songs that are faster like Drifing but then again that is only my opinion. |
Posted by: blazin_drift Mar 8 2006, 06:36 PM |
Does anyone by any chance have a clean version of Jay Chou- Piao Yi? I heard it in a restaurant but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks in advance. |

what are the songs during the races, when he races the monster evo, i dont mean gods hands now, or 4am, also when they are working on the laptop, theres alot more songs in the movie than there are on the soundtrack, i've had all the soundtrack since it came out, but still can't find those other songs. those are teh best ones too. |

Best song of the OST is THE DISCOVERY. But I'm still pissed that they didn't use eurobeat on it. I was so happy seeing the chinese making of-spot the year before the release with MARKO POLO music. |

The song that is played when the 2 ex racers are in the club with those 2 women, one with the phat b-line, whats it called! There is a different variation played of it on the end credits, but I want the one from the club scene. Help! |

Haven't watched it for a bit, so not sure - but it does play several times in the film, seems to be the same loop - its very dark with some kind of Cantonese chant/lyrics behind it. Anyone know? |

Hi guys, just a little question: In the movie, what's the name of the song, when Takumi beats the R32 GT-R? Thanks in advance! Supercharger *edit: Might as well read the topic before posting a request. It's The Discovery right? Could someone upload it? Cause I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks! *edit #2: I finally managed to grab The Discovery off internet, but came to the conclusion that that's not the song I'm looking for. Anybody know which song it is then? *edit #3: Yeah, I really want this song, I managed to dl songs 1,2,4,5,7,9,11,13,14 and dl'ing 3 and 12 as we speak, but none of them seems to be the song I'm looking for, the one that plays when Takumi beats the R32 GT-R. Please help me. I'm getting desperate... #eidt #4: Aargh, at the moment I'm only missing 8 (The Way of A Man) and 15 (Champion). If it's not one of them I'm going mental. *edit #5: YES! Champion was the one I'm looking for! Thanks guys for your indirect help. Though too bad the song only has the bit with the female voice once, that's the really cool part. |

I am just wondering...at the starting of the movie when there are credits and the camera was panning around showing views of Akina...there was a song playing right.?.I am just wondering what song is it.?. Sorry if this had been posted before... |
Posted by: TruenoDriver99 Dec 28 2006, 10:10 PM
Ya i have been look for this song too. I know this has alredy been answered by the one that says JAY JAY JAY JAY Chou you can look it up as Drifting too as the title. |
Posted by: SatoKakashi Dec 29 2006, 06:44 AM
Drifting as in Piao Yi by Jay Chou right.?. But i doubt it is that song because the song i am asking doesn't have the Jay Jay Chou in it and Piao Yi is only on the ending credit... The song i am asking is for the opening credits before Nakazato talks to Ryosuke... I think it had "I can't take it anymore " in its lyrics... Thanks for your help anyway Trueno.. |
Posted by: TruenoDriver99 Dec 29 2006, 10:30 AM
Ya is in Piao Yi. I was just referring back to the first post on this page. I'm looking for the exact same song your looking for. Are you looking for the song where in the beginnging where it shoes Jay driving home from a delivery? If these sound like the lyrics I float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Keys to the ignition are like gloves to Ali To & fro, water in the sea, the sunrise is my peace (repeat) I ride the distance, nature in me Nirvana coming through, with my delivery To & fro, mountain and sea, the twilight sets me free. (repeat) Its called Glove 2 Ali |

Sorry for askin', but can anybody reupload the Live Action OST (with high bitrate)? I'm tryin' the torrent download but it's not workin', there's no seeds... Please, reupload it to "rapidshare" or to "yousendit", anywhere! Just please! Onegai! |
Posted by: SatoKakashi Dec 30 2006, 08:14 AM
No...It is not 'Glove 2 Ali'... The song i am asking is the first song of the movie...ok... The "Glove 2 Ali' is the part where we see Takumi delivering tofu right.?. Before that was a part where Nakazato (Shewn Ye) was seen talking to Ryosuke (Edison Chen) right.?. And...before that would be the beginning of the movie...where we are shown around Akin...that is where the song is... I can't get the lyrics properly but there is a line: "I can't take it anymore." Hope you guys can figure it out...Thanks... |
Posted by: Tofik Dec 30 2006, 09:09 AM
SatoKakashi, the song you are lookin' for is called "Intro (AE86)" and it is the first track on the album.
CetniK, thnx for that man! I like Jay's singin pretty much! Still, can't anybody reupload the OST with high bitrate? I want it god damn hard! Pleeease! |
Posted by: TruenoDriver99 Dec 30 2006, 08:09 PM
You need to provide more lyrics or an author. If you have the movie look for credits as the end of the movie. |
Posted by: SatoKakashi Dec 31 2006, 12:36 AM
Yup, I think it is 'Intro'...I followed Trueno's advise and see the VCD credits...but the words were too small...but i think i saw 'Intro'... Thanks Trueno and Tofik... Yes...anyone out there please reupload the OST...or point me to the right torrent... Thanks |

- OST is available for direct download here: http://makiii.multiply.com/music/item/1 but it's only 128 kbps, CBR stereo quality - kinda suxx. Though it's better than nothing. - Theme songs by Jay Chou "All The Way North" (Yi Lu Xiang Bei) "Drifting" (Piao Yi) are available for direct download here: http://evangeliene.net/mp3/jay/ (it's 192 kbps Stereo, so it's pretty fine) A working torrent: htttp://www.bitenova.nl/tt/9y5w4 (it's perfect quality (320 kbps)...) |

I'm sorry, there's just too many pages for me to read, im looking for that slow sad song whenever there's a dramatic Takumi/Mogi scene like the one near the end when Takumi saw Mogi come down from the benz and ran away. The name of the song and where could I download it would be a big help. Thanks! |
Posted by: Tofik Feb 11 2007, 11:34 AM |
^ You mean the song with lyrics (not the piano instrumental)? If so, then it's called Yi Lu Xiang Bei ("All The Way North") by Jay Chou. It was available through the link from my previous post, but seems like not any more. Well, i just found another place to get it http://tian-tang.net/yinyue/11%e6%9c%88%e7...95%ad%e9%82%a6/ (track #12) |

^ Oh, you shouldn't worry so much, evangeliene. That link i posted (with some hieroglyphs) is actually workin (at least for me). And i think the one who have to say "thank you" is ME. Thank you very much for sharin' such a nice music with us, i greatly appreciate it. To find some albums of my favs (Jay Chou, Mikuni Shimokawa) with such a great quality was like a dream for me. Hi (first post by me I think after years of music lurking) Anyway i just watched the movie and really enjoyed it, except the edit of bunta, i think they did the guy a bit of a raw deal there turning him into a son beating drunk. Anyway it seems the movies had a music change for euro or at least in the UK, and well it sounds great; If you goto http://www.initialduk.com you can preview the music they have used in UK version, i personally like it a lot, and was wondering if anybody had any info on the track names or even just an general idea of genre etc.. thanks in advance |

Hey, does anyone know what the song is thats playing while the E3, FC, and 86 are lining up for the final race? Its a guitar doing a melodic riff, and it's not on any of the OST songs or the 2 Jay Chou songs. |

Hello there, I am looking for a intro song you get to hear in the same (or similar / US?) movie posted in the opening post. I've been looking all over the globe and i also couldnt find the song on the cd of a friend of mine, who happened to have the original soundtrack. (But if i learned correctly the movie has both a japanese and english audiotrack with different music too). Luckily i do have 2 samples of the song i am after, which you can find here: *Dead links removed* It would be great if someone could give me a title of the song that i am after so i can finally listen to a complete version. Thanks in advance! |

Did you hear that sample from the US ver. of it? (Assuming there is one; I imported). |

I believe it was a US or UK version yes. |

Unfortunately getting hold of the UK OST which was produced by Fuel seems near impossible. Me and a few others over at imdb.com have been trying to get a hold of it with no luck. Some of us have tried emailing Fuel a bunch of times but they don't seem to reply for whatever reason All we can do is bombard them with emails until they make the soundtrack available by download or something. |

Oh i see, thats a pity. |

I would like to request a title of the song, which is played when that punk guy in white evo appears for the first time in movie initial d drift racer (shitty chinese version). It sounds like pure bass line and electric treble. Actually it's not our beloved eurobeat at all, but please help me. |

Posted by: Septic Sep 21 2008, 03:14 AM |
Okay, this is going to be hard to explain. There is a music track from the Initial D live action movie where it starts off with some sort of Chinese tribal singing and its like a techno kind of song. It doesn't feature in the soundtrack for the movie and I have spent AGES trying to find it but with no luck. If anyone has a clue as to what I'm ranting about, please help! I am from the UK and from what I've been reading so far, there might be two different soundtracks. Sooo confusing. I found a little sample of the track I'm looking for on Youtube! The song starts at 0:29 (till 0:37) of the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skk6na1JN14 So if anyone can help it would be much appreciated! |
Posted by: Jack_jeckel Sep 21 2008, 09:25 AM |
Unfortunately that is the UK soundtrack which doesn't seem to be available anywhere which is stupid as so many people want it. I think the "Chinese tribal singing" is actually backwards Icelandic singing I tried emailing the Fuel(The UK company who produced the Soundtrack) website a few times but no luck. And the UK initial D website is now down. Am sure it used to be http://www.initialduk.com which streamed samples of the songs. I believe the DJ who produced it is called "Nicholas Zart". And the owner or manager of Fuel is called Richie Warren. If you google them and look hard enough you might get lucky. That's all the info I have and am still searching but no one seems to be able to find it. I went to a dirty sanchez show and was going to ask Dan Joyce if he knew how I could get a hold of it as he is friends with them all and did the audio commentary. But I didn't get to meet him. If anyone gets lucky... |
Posted by: Septic Sep 21 2008, 09:33 AM |
Ah that's well unlucky mate but atleast you tried. Yeah Ive tried Nicholas Zart on google so many times but to no avail. Backwards Icelandic you say...lol how on earth did u find that out? I just bought the DVD supposedly with the UK soundtrack with it. If it does have the tracks I'll send them your way. Its well annoying though; seeing as, like you said, LOADS of ppl want the soundtrack. |
Posted by: Jack_jeckel Sep 21 2008, 12:20 PM |
The UK DVD has an audio commentary, they talk about certain tracks etc and am sure they say that one is backwards Icelandic. Whatever it is, its sounds awesome! Lets just hope someone gets a hold of it! |
Posted by: Septic Sep 24 2008, 03:46 AM |
Man the special collector's edition sucked. They didn't even talk about the soundtrack. So annoyed. Will we ever get to hear the UK soundtrack??!! |
Posted by: kuregu Sep 25 2008, 02:36 PM |
No one found it yet? Goddamnit. I just want that song with the icelandic singing. I want to cruise to it. |
Posted by: Septic Sep 26 2008, 11:50 AM
EXACTLY!! Same here man! Argh...so depressing. |
Posted by: Septic Oct 2 2008, 06:38 AM |
I've got some tunes I've ripped from the movie if you guys are interested. A couple have been remixed to lengthen them etc. Still working on the 'chanting' tune. |
Posted by: kuregu Oct 7 2008, 10:14 AM |
I sure as hell do Get it up here. |
Posted by: Septic Oct 9 2008, 11:39 AM |
Well I need you e-mail add to send you the tunes. Bare in mind I've only had time to remix the intro and rip the ending. A bit busy at the moment but when I have time I'll do all the tracks of the movie. The bass is really good aswell- my whole car was shaking and there is no compromise in clarity of the music. The ending track has Takumi's voice right at the start-but I'll just pretend I intended to have it there seeing as he says "i'll join your racing team" |

!!, read this and every other forum so indepth, downloaded about 15 full soundtracks, and hunted through artist, producer, credits etc, cant find this song.. . Its the UK R2 version of the film. The song that plays through the evo races, (and prob few times through different parts of the film) i been looking for uploaded scene's with the track on the use as reference, but cant seem to find it with the right track... its on the uk, cantonese audio version.. 50mins 20sec, i know it plays very clearly as takumi takes over the wheel as the white evo, nearly has them crash... during the race, its the track playing in the background, I have searched for AGES.. my email is spiritofmidian@hotmail.com if anyone can help me in ANY way... I've gone through hours of youtube, and streaming sites to try and find you guys reference, but cant. sorry ** If anyone knows of a quick, free dvd split program i can use to cut a 15second clip from to show the track i want it might be more helpfull... |

Hey guys. I've added some of the tracks that I ripped and remixed from the UK Soundtrack onto Youtube. Check them out and let me know what you think. As for the track with the Chanting that I remixed, as you can tell from the description, I have the sound files if anyone wants to make a much better version of my rather feeble attempt.
Enjoy |

Hi People, Wow, and I thought that I was the only one looking for that OST. A while ago I ripped the UK website of the Initial-D movie of it's soundtrack content. The following files are therefore compressed twice and not of the best quality, but hey, at least you can play the best chanting intro ever at full volume! Tracklist: 1. Intro AE86 2. Skyline battle I 3. Skyline battle II 4. Evo Battle 5. Outro You can download the files from: http://www.3a2a.nl/download/fuel.zip Since this is my private server I leave the files for download till 1 september 2010. Enjoy |

Good news!!! I have been asked by various people to upload an impossible-to-find song from the movie Initial-D (the Brit release version). Its the one we though was the best tune in the film. It was a lot of work, melding together the tiniest samples, to create a 6min mix for your drifting-pleasure! www.soundcloud.com/truefear-1/init-d-ost-download Share and Enjoy! All rights go to the original sample creator, Fuel. |

Hi Guys, Since I still receive e-mails about those tracks I ripped once from the UK website (after 4 years!!!), I have put them on a Soundcloud account: https://soundcloud.com/stuntpudding I know the quality is quite low after 2 times of compressing, but this is the best I can do. If anyone runs into the extended versions, please let me know. |

Think you could set those tracks to download-enabled? |

I have been following this thread for some time and thought I would do some research and found the following: Indeed OST is done by Fuel who has gone bust. Fuel was created by Richie Warren (Owner of Fuel Girls) and Tipper (Just google DJ Tipper) I have contacted Richie with no answer and I have contacted Tipper with no answer. I have however done some research on both. The one I focused on was Tipper as he would have been the person that most likely produced the music. Richie was more the Marketing person and had nothing to do with the actual music. If you do a Spotify search for Tipper and look for a album he did called: Holding Pattern (2002) the first 2 tracks have snippets of the movie songs in it. You will notice them as soon as they come into the song. Track 1 is noticable from the start and track 2 is from about 0:57 Its not the song that we like but if you listen to the album then you will see what I mean. The album is very Initial D like so I can only imagine that Tipper did the film sound. It looks like there is a massive rift between the two from what I have been researching so to try and get a OST would be impossible but if you like the type of music that they play in Initial D then listen to Tippers early work. I hope this helps others. I am buy listening through tipper stuff and trying to get hold of him still to try and see if I cant get more but that's it for now. |
