Kind of expensive for an average guy out of college or HS who want a car unless mommy and daddy buys you one. |

And to everyone talking about every car getting bigger and heavier, it will NEVER stop. People in general, not enthusiasts, want a comfortable car with all the gadgets and things they like. They also want to be able to have a little fun with their cars. Since they buy more cars than enthusiasts, that's how everything's gonna go. Also, people in the government are "concerned" about us and feel the need to increase safety regulations every time they make new laws. So you have to follow all of those. Basically, don't look for cars to get lighter anytime soon. |

Yes, that is why it isn't aloud to be sold in Canada. It's the good old 5km/h bumper test! If a car is unable to be driven away after a 5km/h front-end impact then it won't be allowed in Canada. Evo fails because the FMIC is damaged/destroyed as a result of these types of impacts and therefore make's the car effectively undriveable! I'm sorry, but it could be bad ass all it wants, but it resembles a WRX in no way, shape or form. Call it Legendary, for all I care, it's cool. But not a WRX. Unless, you have a coupe/sedan version as well. Then, I don't care. |

Why not just use the current Generation Legacy's 3.0L EZ30R? It's an H6 as well... As for the whole it's not a WRX if it's not a sedan/coupe, then what about the wagons that are currently available? The car is a WRX only if Subaru calls it that, it makes no difference what we call a WRX, it's Subaru or designates if a car is called that or not.

Then I think they should duplicate the power output and plus, better handling systems... And BTW, I wouldn't call that car a WRX. If I dont see it in sedan with bigger engine then I dont care either lol |

Hero or Zero cornering Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,783 Member No.: 3,476 Joined: Oct 1st 2004 Location: Update Profile | Cars will get more expensive. The EVO is not really an entry level car. A civic , corolla, focus, or other compact is. Inflation plus the US dollars is not particularly strong against the Yen or the Euro. More so, the divide between the rich and poor is widening. Why? Part of the reason is that unskilled labor and moderately skilled labor (stuff that a high school dropout could learn- eg factory work) is worth much less now. Engineers, doctors, and other highly occupations that require highly refined skills are doing okay. But more and more unskilled jobs have are outsourced, leaving behind a bigger pool of unskilled labor with a shrinking number of jobs they can fit in. In other words. Get some skills. If you think it is bad now, it will get much worse in the next several decades. From my days of working while in school, I can tell you that it is tough out there if you are "entry level". As I said before, Subaru is trying to move into the Luxury scene, and what better way then to emulate Audi...

So I guess the awd sedan battle is between the evo and mazdaspeed 6 now. |

Other than that, I'd never buy a Toyota. Their cars get nerdier and nerdier every year. |

Haven't you see that one video where Top Gear tries to totally wreck a Toyota 4x4 and they still could drive it after they did a lot of crazy stuff to it! That's sturdy stuff... and even if they get nerdier... you can just get a Lexus... |
