Authors Note:
Little about me. Im a fifteen year old boy living in Australia. Im not going to base the fanfic on Japan (I dont even know Japanese) but id base it on Australian Terms. It gives you.. a more turn on things rather then looking at it going wdf did they copy the Unbeaten path?

For starters.. im just a kid interested in cars. Like other people.. I dont dream of buying a AE86 (Though its a secret dream) and being takumi. Also i know some stuff about cars.. but really its just fient. So feel free for FLAMAGE if you perfer to correct me that way. Also please take it easy on the comments.

Taku.
Your friendly neighbourhood Australian.

Chapter One - The Esky-man

The street was quiet around Bayswater at 3am. For Young Viktor it was the best time of the day. All the residents were in their beds sleeping and dreaming while he was out vandalising their property. Makes sence doesnt it?

Viktor brought out his cans as he started to flip though his black sketch book.. looking for good pieces to engrave onto the wall with his Aerosol paint. Finally he found one that satisfied him.. and he began work.

Making short work and smooth lines he outlined his piece. He stood back to admire his work when something taped him. He turned around to see blue and red lights flashing at him. He had been caught.

" .. damn "

--

"So Viktor.. or should I call you.. esky-man?" the police man said in a abusive voice.

" ... "

"Not going to say anything Viktor? Its over. Its been 3 months to find you. About the total of half a ten thousand dollars worth of damage. Vandalism of over 40 different stations and about a double dozen buisness ruined by your art. Its over your going in Lock up for kids."

" ... "

"Okay Viktor I know your a good kid. I'm willing to sort out a deal with you. You can either go to lock up or you can become a community worker. We'll get you out of the foster home your living in and let you move in with your uncle. I've already talk to him and he has agreed to take you under his wing at his automotive work where you can become his Apprentice. How does that sound?"

".. Okay, I'll do it."

"Good your free to go."

"Oh one more thing, Sir."

"What is that?"

"You talk to much."

Viktor left his room to find his short uncle dressed in what looked like one of those todder strap pants.

"Lets go Viktor."

--

"So Viktor its been a long time," said uncle.

"Yeah since what you did," Viktor answered.

" ... "
"Why did you do this to me? I would of been better in lock up."

"It feels like I owe your parents something"

They pulled up to a large warehouse type garage. As Viktor steped out he saw about ten cars that looked racey. They all had big aerodynamic hoods, bodykits with huge rims, spoilers, big front mount intercoolers that you cold eat your food off and more.

"You like it viktor? Ive been working here for a long time to build up those cars. They are used for drift and track."

"Why am I here?"

"Well court wants me to take you under my wing. So here you are. Basicly you'll just be doing car washing, servicing and talking to the customers. Easy job."

--

The next few days Viktor and his uncle would work every day 7 oclock to 9 at night trying to fix and prep cars for racing. Viktors interest in cars began to grow on him. He started to ask his uncle questions and learnt more about cars. Finally after about a months of work his uncle decided to buy him a car.

"Hmm Uncle I dont want any of your cars," Viktor told his uncle.

"What do you mean. You said you wanted a car."

"Well I wanted something unique and old. I want to be able to bash and trash the car without caring about the huge bodykits that cost money."

"Well I've got the perfect car wait here."

After about 3 minutes of shuffling of the garage doors a yellow car revealed itself under the garage doors. It was a old car with the boxy look. But the look of the car grew on Viktor.

"What is it uncle?"

"Its a Toyota Corolla."

Is it a 4WD? I don't think it's the Levin or Trueno.

Authors note: Toyota Corolla isnt what your thinking about. The car i'm talking about is something real speical and not a sprinter. Details will be released at the end.

Chapter Two: Two Letters. KE70.

"Toyota Corolla?"

"Yeah," Viktor's uncle said while tapping on the bonnet and opening the door, "It's a real beauty. One of the most selling numberplate car with around 30 million buyers. This model though is called a E70 and was the last rear wheel drive generation of the Corollas. Now they make some front wheel drive one"

"Looks pretty normal. Boxy and unracey?" Viktor said as he looked at the car unappealingly.

"Boxy you say. It was made in 1983 so in it is surpose to be a 4K single over head cam engine. So i guess its called a KE70."

"Wait single overhead cam? Isnt that slow and non responsive?"

"Yes and no. Engine surely is a piece of shit (Sorry) but is one of the most reliable and most indestructible engines ever made by Toyota. If only they made them like they do now. Hop in."

Both viktor and his uncle sat in the car admiring the insides. It was one of the most ugliest cockpit viktor ever saw. The interior looked like something had died in it.

"Well what do you think?" asked uncle.

"Well surely it is a Piece of S**t but i guess i can work with it."

"Good now off to work".

--

Viktor stood infront of his new car and poped the bonnet. In the engine bay was what his uncle told him there would be. A very unappealing single over head cam engine bay. Something was weird about the engine though. Viktor traced the pipes to what looked like.. a bolt on turbo with a Pod filter stuck on the end.

"Interesting Viktor tut'ed. I guess its time for a spin in the parking lot".

--

At 3 at night (Viktors favourite time) he parked his corolla at the very start of the parking lot. He reved the engine which sounded like a vacuum cleaner with a agressive growl going on. He took off. The car gathered up speed as it went down the parking lot approaching into the wall. Viktor then spun around the car using the handbrake and surprizingly.. it did what it was told and spun around.

"Surprizing.. Needs more work.. maybe a new engine."

Viktor headed back to the garage and began work on his car. Firstly he was going for a rull race trim. He started to strip out the disgusting creamy interior and riped out all of the sound deadening. When he had finished he was done with a disgusting creamy paint left on the car. He decided that interior of the car would be painted white and got painting with his airbrush. After a few coats he was satisfied with the final product.

The Start of a new project.

--

Hope it makes sence.

Authors Note

The car I chose for this fanfic is.. A really normal car. It can be a beast if tuned right. Basicly its known for its realiabity and cheapness. In Australia real cheapos use these cars and transform them from backyard crap to drift mashines. The fanfic will cover the build of the KE70.

Corolla KE70 - Australian Spec
Year: 1983
Engine type: 4KC (Basicly a 4AC)
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual.

Information from Wikedpia:
The fourth-generation model released in 1979 in Japan, was boxy and was the last generation to have the enitire lineup in rear-wheel-drive. Although most of the fourth generation was replaced by 1984, the station wagon and van versions were offered into 1987.

This generation (apart from the wagon) got a new rear coil spring five-link rear end with panhard rod, and the wheelbase was longer at 94.5 in (2400 mm). A new 1.8 L (1770 cc/108 in³) 3T engine was optional to some markets, whilst parts of the world retained the old 4K. The year 1983 introduced the Corolla's first overhead cam engine, the 1.6 L (1587 cc/96 in³) 4A-C. This was the first generation to have power steering. In the USDM market, this was introduced in the 1982 model year. The 1980-81 models had 4 lamps in the front in some markets, all 1982-83 models have 2.

Wikedpia says that it comes with a 4AC but us aussies got the 4K.

They make good cheapo box drift cars.

The engine can fit a 20v 4AG, 16V 4AG, SR20s, CA18s etc.

So the options for the mods are endless. Also the car is so old you can just walk into a wreaker and salvage practicly any part of the car.

KE70?! w00t2.gif we got dozens of those coupes and sedans here, but most of them are in bad shape, and have 1.3l 4AC/KC engine.. that's one possibility for my next car, since it's a lot cheaper than KP60's.. unsure.gif

Sorry about the lateness. Been doing some research also ive released the structure is gay in my story so i need to do some tidering up.

Chapter Three: Unlimmited Potiential.

The night was warm in suburban Melbourne. It had been a hot 34 degree day which might not be as hot as some other places. Melbourne was on the bottom half of Australia which is on the bottom of the Tropic of Capricorn.

In one of the many garages in suburban Melbourne was a man that noone really knew. He wasnt famous or infamous. He was known blindly for his works of vandalism apon Melbourne which brought on his arrest. But thanks to his uncle he has picked up his feet and changed his interests from art to the art of cars.

He was under his new car given by his uncle. It no longer looked like a granny spec box sedan. It had that pig look as if it tackled a race track and was bumped around by other cars. The paint was slowly pealing off and the engine was well and truely off to the junkers. A SOHC 4AC turbo had potiential, but viktor had other ideas. Silence was soon interupted by a roar of a truck like engine pulled into the outside of the garage.

"Ah his here." Viktor said putting his wrench down and started wiping his hands with his work cloth. He then head outside to find a 4WD pulling a trailer with some sort of exotic track car on the back.

"Ey Viktor." His uncle grunted. You wouldnt be able to tell if he was grunting or if he was talking.

"Hey Uncle. What do you have there?"

"Your new engine and bits and pieces."

His uncle soon got the race car off the back of the trailer and into the garage. The so called race car looked like a N2 TRD Spec AE86. It had the race TRD paint on the body with the big wide guards used to fit wider tires.

"Do you like it?" Uncle asked.

"Well, I thought it was the actual one Keichii Tysuchiya used to race N2. Obviously it looks like a Aus Spec AE86 converted to it. Am i right?" Viktor replied.

"Yup. Totally right. Does it look like I have the money to buy that beast?"

"Maybe. You have that Bunta like look on your face as if you can pull out a super engine out of no where."

"Abit too much initial D for you I think. Anyway I got this car from my mate Beau who was glad to get rid of it. His got his mind set on other things I guess."

"Beau?"

"Forgot you were busy spraying on walls then paying attention to racing. Beau Yates won the Drift Australia Championship this year in his AE86 Sprinter. His a pure AE86 lover but you know even Ueo is setting his ideas on other things then a Sprinter."

"Ueo?"

"Oh dont worry. Check this out." His uncle said as he unblucked the bonnet pins and lifted up the bonnet. There was something that looked like a twincam engine made by toyota. The Cam cover was missing which was replaced spark plugs.

"Its a 20V Blacktop Toyota Made." Viktors Uncle said before he could observe anymore.

"Hmm.. Looks raced preped abit."

"Yeah. Engine is abit speical I guess. Not like Initial D though.. Engine was from a AE111 purchased from TOMS in New Zealand. It wasnt built exoticly but just built reliable. They just put a few goodies like work, cams, lightened flywheel, extremely heavy duty clutch, bigger throttles, raised comp, and so on. It runs some sort of ECU that Beau said to keep the engine running on. Apparently makes around 160+rwhp. Impressive NA engine."

"I see.. I guess this will lift the E70 standards eh? With the E70's light weight.. which should be around 900kg it should be quick around the track."

"Yeah something like that. Theres something speical about these cams though.. apparently they are TRD or something like that."

"Well.. lets get to work."

--

Authors Extra Note:

This car actually exists. Well not the E70 but the replica. Its been finished painted etc and does alot of cruises. I happen to know alot about this car. The car isnt owned by Yates though, although he did win Drift Austraila etc, he is just another name chucked into the fanfic

Actual Engine pic is attached.

Do explain more Midnight xD.. interested in how i can make it abit more tasty for readers.

Chapter Four: Midnight Mechanics.

The parking lot (Well its actually the entrance to the dump, but called "The parking lot" Old Dandenong Road was the normal place full of headlights, talking, the smell if cigarettes and the smell of burnt rubber. Old dandenong was not some long Touge road with heaps of corners. In fact there were only 2 corners. A wide left turn and S style hairpin like Iroka in Initial D. People came here to practise racing, simple as that. The road was far away from anything, infact right next to it was a dump. It's the last place you would look eh? Tonight, since it was christmas eve everyone was out celebrating with family and friends but strangly enough the team known as "Midnight Mechanics" was out for a smoke.

"Hey Chris, hows the Silvia?" asked the man sitting on the bonnet of his s2000.

"Engine blew, chucking in a SR20 as soon as funds let me." Chris replied.

"You mean when your wife does hahaha."

"Oi theres a car coming."

A yellow spot was growing brighter by the second and was coming towards the parking area. Soon enough the yellow comet shot past the spectators. Soon a fient braking sound as it entered the corner and slid though the first corner.

"Hmm.. looks like the guys heading somewhere pretty fast. Never seen him before, anyone know who he is?" Chris said.

"Nope. Doesn't look like a first timer either."

--

"Runs well doesn't it?" Viktors uncle said.

"Ugh, I think the exhaust is to restrictive. I think ill fit a 3" exhaust and swap the extractors over for 1 3/4 primaries.. Still not enough though." Viktor replied.

"Dont even think about putting a turbo charger in it."

"I was thinking of going more wild."

"What's wild? A Datsun?"

"You'll see."
