So, I've been playing for quite a bit now... Probably 6 months. But recently, I've run into a problem where the game randomly decides to shift me down from 4th to 2nd gear. On a manual transmission. It's only happened to me for a few days now, but it's starting to get annoying.

Anyone else having this problem/have a solution?

Never had it before. It does sound weird. Are you using a wheel by any chance? Because some wheels have six shifters (like the Logitech G25) that can automatically tell the game to switch to a non sequential gear straight.

Try and make a new data file and see whether the problem persists.

I'm using the standard DS3 controller. And alright, I'll give it a try.

Never had the problem. Your controller might be messed up. IDK.

I don't know if you play with your cell phone in your pocket but I found out that my phone creates some pretty crazy interference in the PS2/PS3 controllers whenever it's nearby and if you make or receive a phone call or text while playing, I can make the game think I'm pressing just every button. I've gone into training modes of games just to see what my phone does to the game at times. Don't know if this is related to your situation but it's worth looking into.

This happened to me only once. When I was still using controllers I went from 5th to 3rd, or something like that. I switched controllers and that seemed to resolve the issue.

You will have a lot more fun if you find a wheel though biggrin.gif
