is the same member as

_CRASH_.

I haven't been around, maybe this is common knowledge?

Completely and totally common knowledge. I've known it, and I know he's mentioned this not being his first account, pretty sure he stated he was banned before.

Regardless, he's done a plenty good job of playing nice and being an involved member of the community, so I don't think it's an issue of concern anymore.

Never said it was, however, why not just unban his first account, in order to be more transparent?

Edit : I believe Perry can do account merges on accounts with such a small post count.

Ah, I always knew the he had another account here but I never knew what it was. Well now I know, good information Möbius, thanks! Anyway, I believe that we've asked him about merging his accounts together and he declined the offer.

Because he said he didn't want his accounts merged. I could unban the other account but I'd still remove posting ability.

• You agree not to have more than one account at any given time. If found having more than one account, you'll be given the option to pick an account. The rest of the accounts you have in possession will be banned.

He did the right thing and contacted the administration when he wanted to come back, so the proper steps could be followed. Instead of just creating a new account and eventually getting banned again via the guideline (banned members cannot come back or they'll just be banned again), he let the administration know, and they agreed that it was okay. In accordance with the guidelines, the old account was left untouched (ie banned).

Because the judicial section no longer exists, a direct plea to an admin is necessary for these things. In most cases, a member that truly shows that they are not going to be a problem anymore will be allowed to carry on.

Don't get me wrong , I don't mind he is back, he seems to be behaving well, the question was if it was known, since there was no announcement of any sorts ( well nothing that a search turned up anyway ).

Tessou, like how you made threads for bans, there should be threads for people getting unbanned. It is not something to be hidden IMHO, if anything it should be shown as an example.

It looks like there is not even an update in the staff section, otherwise Kyon would not be in the dark either.

Giving it some more thought, I'm really wondering, how did you come to the conclusion he is Crash, Moby? I assumed you just cross-checked IPs, but then I remembered you can't do that... so how? Posting style? Personal info?

I'm not sure, but even if he was, he wouldn't have much reason to look into the Lonely Driver account, since he wasn't really posting with it until recently. At least I think? I'll let Moby speak for himself, of course.

I don't know too... I've performed IP checks on both accounts and, they've returned no results. I don't know how you've got that conclusion AC.

According to the resolve, they are both from Canada but that doesn't mean anything. _CRASH_ was using ADSL while Lonely Driver is using Cable. :\

That doesn't mean anything either, since he could have changed internet services since _CRASH_ was banned.

Guys, Lonely's join date is less than a year ago...

And I thought sitting on the throne meant something else.
