Afternoon gentlemen! New to the forums, but a long time Initial D fan! I also recently started reading the manga, I didn't know I was missing too much!

Anyway, I've seen the animated series and OVA's I've also played the games (idas4 and 5, Street stage, and Special stage), and most especially had learned a lot in the automotive world thru ID. (it might not a be a good source, but it's helped me understand well enough!)

I also love cars, they're just amazing. I'm a big fan of the Z series, but an even bigger fan of the Lan-Evo's and Impreza's, in my opinion they're the perfect cars. Everytime I see a great car on the road regardless of its make and model, I take the time to stare at it and admire it for a bit. A '99 GT-R R34 would make my eyes wide as would an '11 458 Italia or a '68 Camaro.

Back to Initial D,

This has got to be the greatest story ever told in the fictional racing genre.

And if it's two things you have to know about Initial D, it's that if Bunta's eyes will open it will end wars, and that if you're like him, then I'm gonna have to doubt you're human!

Where will you be typically lurking? I see your interest in ID, but with the extreme lack of new content, you might get bored reading that section.

@Tessou I've already kept myself busy in the manga section fuji_tak so diligently updates for us, and I'm still at ch. 591 where the translated scans stopped! I've also started reading topics in the Technical and Automotive discussions as Mazda Ina Ford guy had suggested.

Oh cmspaz I would do anything to own an Evo in the CT9A platform, even if it's 10 years old!

Heh, I'd do anything to be out of the game right now, but you can't sell a car for what it's truly worth with the engine in pieces. And then once I get it back together and running great again I'll be back in not willing to sell mode... That's how it goes with these cars. Expensive as hell to fix so you don't want them when they break and you can't let go of them because of how fun they are and the net loss once you fix them. I believe I'm up to a $26000 8 year old Evo now?

Admittedly it's a brilliant car though, and near twice stock horsepower there isn't much that holds a candle to it. Doesn't hurt when you sweat driver mod, too.

I hope that as time goes on there will be more new news on Initial D Fifth Stage, I want to see how alive these fourms can look!

Keep it! Know that people want this car, stare at it and say "there's a dude that wants to own you, but you're mine". I totally agree, Evo's and Impreza's are phenomenal cars. The best part is that they're within reach! Unlike supercars... I could only stare, that's it.

Will keep a vigilant and respectful eye out for the ladies of the forum.

I know! I can't wait for Fifth Stage! I wanna see how the wings are shown in the anime, especially Keisuke's battle in the fog!

I think it pretty much is. But I'm here to relieve some of that manly bro-ness stuff that might build between you guys.

As for Fifth Stage I'm wondering if they'll put in those character changes that are in the manga. I mean Keisuke's hair style went through like three changes before I noticed it was consistent. Did anyone else notice that? After the match with Purple Shadow the art style totally changed, all the characters suddenly got really bishy and Takumi's hair started looking my Ryosuke's. Don't get me wrong, I love bishy guys but the change in the style was very sudden.

I know, right?! Shigeno's art style changed completely - it's so rough right now. I don't think it will affect character design for the anime drastically, though.

I wouldn't go as far to say that the new art style is rough, it's just the hair styles that changed a lot. He's also improved in drawing faces in my opinion. Also I've noticed that the crowds are being drawn differently, or is it just me?

What caused such a change in art style though? Did Initial D take a hiatus right after Shuichi Shigeno finished the match between Purple Shadow and Project D?

EDIT: We should probably start a separate thread for this if we want to keep talking about it huh?
