LoL, very n00b question here, but does this mean if u shift gears at these RPM limit times you get a good shift? |
Posted by: dyproximy Apr 25 2004, 08:25 AM |
It means you get better acceleration. |

I kno some of you mite change ur dc2 coz ob dis. da fastest shift i kno is 6.1, 7.4-7.5, 7.9-8, 8 customisin ur car does increase n decrease some of your gears. option A and C, especially C are recorded to have da fastest start up time. reason... because there gear 1,2,3 are faster den the other options. the others seem to focus on gear 4 and 5. i tested dis out wit my option B wit and Option C, da Option C hab a 0.5 m head start doing the exact same shift. BTW i work in an Arcade Store call playtime in melb, so i tried it many times wit different full tune Option C and A. after the start up we stayed at gear 4 n stretch it out. I found out that my gear 4 is 2km faster than the Option C. i tried wit different players wit option C (the reason why they do it coz i gib dem 3 free games afterwards). And once again i beat it on gear 4 by 1-3 km. SO for pplz out dere who say it doesnt matter wah option u have is wrong, yet sacraficin 1 gear 4 another kind ob cancel each other out. |
Posted by: Saito Apr 27 2004, 05:28 PM |
thats just bull dude ...it doesnt affect your shift times....and start offs ...ppl say that Option A is the best at start coz it has turbo and stuff....thats all crap!!!!! i heard that rims only affect you grip but im not 100% accurate on that.... i have constantly raced ppl with Option A and B....i killed them both at start up...it all depends on how good and precise to shift your gears...and if they (the other driver) shift theres....they might have shifted wrong? everything that has to do with the outside of the car dun do much....its all for looks man....same as battle levels...and racer levels...they dun make you go faster...! only when u full tune, thats wen u go faster.... |
Posted by: d0ob0o Apr 27 2004, 05:58 PM |
actually i cant completely agree with u saito...the internal effect ur performence but all the external parts do things to...but it doesnt make ur car faster...it just changes how ur car drives or feels...as in driftyness, better up or down, and some parts are slightly lighter than others which can make u accel faster but the turning and stuff wont be as stable ne mo...but this is sought through my eyes if u think other wise i wont say ur wrong but i just beleive something else... |
Posted by: Taiki Apr 27 2004, 09:36 PM
i hab 2 disagree. btw i sed option c is da fastest start up plz read carefully. dere many reasons on how u hab a better start up. 1. ur car more tuned up 2. dey dont kno da rite shift. if u dont believe u should ask da pplz at parra dat own da machine n tried it out many times. or u can try it out. i dont fink sega will charge u points 4 customisin ur car, for nothin. |
Posted by: Saito Apr 28 2004, 12:50 AM |
how is it....the guys at parra i know them...they're idiots...please read the frequenlty asked question thread...!!!!! about stuff on cars in ID... i said option A as an example...i read ur post on option C....i think i know how to read..... |
Posted by: Taiki Apr 28 2004, 02:24 AM
c mon now, dont call pplz names, dis is a friendly forum sharin info wit others. btw talkin bout dose *idiots*, can ne 1 beat dem cause i c dem lookin 4 playaz level 20 higher 2 chellenge. cant seem 2 beat dis guy call DJ. |

mmm one of the customised wings on FD3S increased my speed by 1 km to 209km/h on myogi ccw .. dosnt make differnce in the beggining and customisation dosnt do me thing for other courses... and 1 lil mistake on your shiift can cause you to fall behind ... learnt that from versing demon |
Posted by: durtle May 10 2004, 02:56 PM |
right now in version 1 i usally just shift to 4th at the start and then shift at like 7000 to 5th with my EK9 |

I wish I had some of the competion in my arcade that you guys talk abotu around here. Big fish in a little pond is how it is with me. I'm at Level 22 and I almost HAVE to fish to even get a single race and most of the time there's a cocky n00b wif a DC2 thinking he's hot shit till I introduce him to the power of my EVO IV!!!! Moster's INC baby! :woot: |
Posted by: Saito May 20 2004, 05:56 PM |
hahahaa...that means u got all shit players at your arcade....no wonder you got a 39 consec wins...must be too easy for you.....and your battle level...well i dunno about that...hahahhaha...easy wins for you |
Posted by: Rayn May 21 2004, 06:18 AM |
that sounds like this one guy i know at this other mall. he drives a dc2 as his main car and runs at least 8 sec's faster than anyone else there (every track), lol. |
Posted by: Saito May 22 2004, 06:37 AM |
farout....wats the point of battling then....might as well jus play TA.... |
Posted by: Rayn May 23 2004, 02:11 PM |
he's a bit faster than me on TA. he came to our mall once, he didnt do so well in battle against me. hes not used to the pressure of someone on his ass or someone in front of him so i guess that threw him off |

Does anyone know the SP for an FC. I'm having problems with that car and right now I'm shifting at around 4k > 4.5k > 5K > 5.25K and I'm having my ass kicked off the starting line with this. oh, and I also found that the best SP for a Evo IV are somewhere along the lines of 6k > 6.5k > 7k > 7.25 >. |
Posted by: Instant-Noodlez May 29 2004, 08:40 PM |
shift points for FC on akagi: 5 > 5.5 > 6.3 > 150-152km/h last one depends on teh track ur playin and ur speed. the start up of the FC isnt that fast but this SP is wat i found best. |
Posted by: GC8VSkyline Aug 29 2004, 10:10 PM |
to the person who says that the shift point to 4th gear is "11500"...where the hell did you get that? your way over the redline then you go back to 11000rpm? who the hell gave you that? the easiest way to figure out your shift points is by looking at how you accelerate, as soon as you reach the max acceleration of that gear, shift up, if you don't have time to figure it out or you think someone who told you was wrong. |
Posted by: GC8V Aug 30 2004, 01:40 AM |
haha the SP over 11k rpm is for EA11R/cuppacinno and the new engine for a AE86 that got 11k rpm at the 5th gear BTW this two cars got a techometer of 12k rpm for racing engine use only they put it in for the sake of reving the rpm high but not restrained and higher then the normal 8-10 scale techometer |
Posted by: heri0n Sep 30 2004, 05:56 AM |
the shift points for the 86 new engine are lies!! if i use them i get smoked by my friends 85 turbo on the line! i find 9 -> 10/10.5 -> 11 -> 11 works better but he still beats me... anyone else got better shift points? |
Posted by: Knee Grow Sep 30 2004, 11:36 PM |
What you dont realize is that the AE101 Engine doesn't have a very quick 1st-3rd gear. |
Posted by: heri0n Oct 1 2004, 10:17 AM |
yeah i kinda figured that... but an 85? must be the turbo... lol |
Posted by: ______________ Oct 8 2004, 03:15 PM |
The 86 has the 3rd slowest start up. The scond is the Capp and the last.... S14Q |

it doesn'T seem right for the Fc3s o_O |

i use to do 6.5 7.5 8 and between 8 and 8.25 for the last shit i wonder if it's ok?????? |
Posted by: Nero Feb 14 2005, 04:57 PM |
I used to shift my Capp by 6 / 7.5 / 11. Dunno if it's shit but I kinda follow closely starting FD and FC |
Posted by: DUT Mar 3 2005, 06:29 AM |
Hey yan the cappuccino rider, I think you shift correctly, 6500 - 7500 - 8000 is ok. But the point where you shift up to 5th depends on the track you're racing. (Note that I use a DC2 Option MYOGI: at 156km/h USUI, AKAGI, AKINA: at 148-150km/h HAPPO: at around 145km/h max. IRO: at 129-130km/h See ya bro ! DUT |

anyone know good shift points for Option A NA6C? please don't use the 2>4>7>5>4> thing, or if you do please explain it. I have no idea what anyone means when they use those. |
Posted by: AsH_ Oct 4 2006, 03:17 PM |
stick with the capp... better !!! |
Posted by: stuykid89 Oct 4 2006, 05:14 PM
it means to shift up when the revolution needle hits 2000,4000,7000,5000,4000. i find those numbers to be quite low, especially the first one..but then again i never used the NA6C..so yeah ask Cow for help on that or Asaki. |
