Should be D Coin and events.

^Dat D7 meter........ w00t2.gif

Though I'll probably feel like Wide has the best balance between looking good and practical for me despite the fact that I swore that I wouldn't use it when it was first revealed. Thanks for making it into one nice diagram.

Do you have to finish above a certain place to get background in events? I guess I'm just a bit confused because it works different than in D6/D7.

Tonight I improved my Usui CCW BNR34 time by almost a second, bringing it to what would be the 10th rank Model Record if we had online to rank it. I also improved on my 2nd lap by almost a second in later runs, so I can possibly see a 45 happening. 43 seems out of reach, but I'd be happy with top 5. Pretty pleased for less than 2 weeks playing the game. smile.gif

if you'd really like that map a lot, why not go for it using a Sil80? as far as I know for this version, the course car for their own respective maps makes a lot of difference to your run.

for example, on Tsubaki UH, I ran 3'07 using FD3S6 (it's a car that I feel most comfortable with, and I use this for battles and other TA runs). I gave a try or 2 with NA1 and I, surprisingly, shaved off 2 seconds.

Question: How do you buy backgrounds with D-Coins? I'm not sure where to get them for the moment.

Also, if you buy back a car you deleted, do you get back the old plate number and external parts? Or do you only just get the old internal Specs?

I know the Sil80 is the course car, the R34 has just always been my favorite car in the game. Back in Ver. 3 I was known for driving one and pulling off really difficult times with it (it was a notoriously hard car to drive), and at one point I took the Model Record on Usui CCW, so I think it'd be cool to do the same thing in Ver. 8 lol.

Initial D Factory 2nd option of 2nd option for background.

Not sure about car plate (never paid attention), but all other parts will not be saved, doesn't matter aero, or colors.

Requesting thread to be pinned. I think this is a good enough guide for fellow players to start playing IDAS8 if they had already tried IDAS7.

Request Granted.

Got a lot of info for IDAS8 and such other things. My only rule? Let's not bring any outside stuff here.

Nope. Its unlocked.

But Pasta didn't have network in his area.

These courses for TA requires a network. Momiji line is unlocked in August, Version 1.0 +A. Hakone is unlocked in September, Version 1.2 +B Rev.1.

If you are 1.0 you don't really get anything at all.

GODDAMN IT

Like seriously, they show the later stages of Story mode in the games intro video for pete's sake. The fact that you can't unlock them without an online update is stupid.

As sucky as that is man, remember that we are only areas that have the privilege to have anything higher then Stage 3. Yeah it sucks...but what can you do?

Tried IDAS8 yesterday. Pretty nice.

It's been like, almost 3-4 years since I stopped playing IDAS regularly but IDAS8 is very tempting now. Haha.
