I remember going to the arcade, and it would be FULL of ID players... I would spend days until I hit that 3'00 akina with my FD. Then version 4 came out and the community slowly died out and went to WMMT. What I am wondering is this new "1.5"... What's changed? Did it help bring the community back? Montreal here - played at 2k+ amusement downtown. The questions in short: What's changed in 1.5? Is the community on hold until version 5? Is version 5 trying to "fix" what killed the community in the first place? Also, http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZFGV6l_mmk&feature=related IS THIS REAL!? Physics look like v3! (Or at least similar) This post has been edited by Ultima55 on Jan 19 2009, 12:40 PM |

The physics was reworked. In a nutshell the game basically hits you with some oversteer and an acceleration penalty if you don't brake enough before entering certain turns. A lot of ID4 players quit because they were annoyed at having to relearn the physics, and because they were expecting much more from 1.5 than just a physics change. |
