Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself, been lurking for months and finally decided to 'take the plunge' and participate.

I'm not very knowledgeable about the Initial D manga and anime (grew up in the middle of nowhere and had trouble getting a hold of it, though I have some lucky find volumes/dvds and love them), though I am now watching it from the start, but Version 3 in the arcades is what got me into Eurobeat and cars years ago and now I'm obsessed with both. I suck at the game but damn if I don't love it and wouldn't love to have one in my garage eventually! laugh2.gif I'm car shopping right now for my first real 'car' (the family escalade has been my ride, hardly a gas efficient OR performance car, haha) and have been browsing the automotive discussion forum on here to get some ideas, loving the community here so far. Hope to get to know y'all, I'm pretty chill and usually avoid conflict so no worries about me starting anything, I just like to chat and drool over the tuned up cars here laugh2.gif

Oh believe me, I know the feel, man. I'm driving around an Accord that's older than I am, and a certain guy's Evo has been really nice. *cough*Spaz*cough* But anyway, I'm looking for an FC myself. Enough about me, though.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the kind replies guys, great to meet y'all! Wish I had stopped lurking sooner, could be up to a few hundred posts by now. Ah well, better late than never I suppose~!

Yeah, I've seen Spaz's evo posted around here, needless to say it's a bit of an inspiration. Unless it's a lemon that Accord'll definitely last you until you find something better... an FC would be an awesome car, best of luck in your search and be sure to post pics when the time comes! I have my eye on a used Mazda6 (and for reliability/$$$ I'll probably end up with the 2.3l variety sadly, maybe a 2008 SVE?), it's no EVO but it at least qualifies as a 'car' and will look a bit less ridiculous owning turns and blaring eurobeat than what I have now XD

LOL, it's only nice because I still find space in my heart to care. God knows that space isn't in my bank account. I still get excited to turn wrenches on it, and that's what counts in the end I guess.

Good to hear, glad it's helped inspire someone as opposed to just being a thread where people can watch me complain about all the brokens. tongue.gif

They're decent cars, and at least the 2.3 is basically a DISI, solid motors for sure. I have to say though, I'm really digging the most recent face lift.

Oh, and welcome!
