Been waiting for this and I need to test this on my 3DS at home, but the article does state that it's only compatible for the "new" 3DS mad.gif

Stay mad, there's a reason why it's only for New 3DS.

Neat that they're releasing classic SNES (am I the only one who is bothered when people pronounce it as a word, when it's an acronym?) titles for the 3DS (they should port them to iOS and Android too), sucks that it seems restricted to newer hardware though.

Wait.. So, the old 3DS can run a demanding game like Smash Bros, but it can't play SNES games? I was planning on upgrading soon to a New 3DS anyways, but still... That's some horse crap.

It's not really a surprise to me since they're probably using software to emulate an SNES (thus needing better hardware). I remember back when Bleem! was an emulator for PC to play PS1 games back in the day, you needed to have a pretty decent computer to be able to play PS1 games decently.

Not sure who Jontron is, I am assuming some sort of YouTube personality who pronounces SNES as a word rather than as an acronym. It just bugs the hell out of me when people pronounce it as Se-nes when SNES is an acronym for Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Mind you, I might be a hypocrite since I pronounce the old NES emulator Nesticle as Nest-icle.

You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of how emulation works. Allow me to edumacate you.
