Who don't like Shigeno-sama ?

If not, you have nothing to do on this forum.

So here's the projet, i'm fan of Shigeno Shuichi and i'm currently creating a fansite about him.
It will consist of news about his manga (like "Shigeno about Initial D" or "Sailor Ace, vol3 got a release date" and more !)

There will be a calendar (retro-active), games (quiz, positionning the regions of Initial D, and more)

A WIKI ! The actuals wiki suck, we need more precisions, episode by episode (something complete like One Piece's wiki)

A complete description about his manga, volume by volume, every edition from every country (i count on you to give me the U.S. covers of Initial D with their release date, plus the sypnosis of every volume !

)

Here's the version alpha 0.1.0
Colors are not final. Background will be scans of differents Shigeno's works.
On the next days, i'll work on the index's calendars

Are you talking about the Wikipedia page or our own wiki here on IDW? Wikipedia is not meant to be an exhaustive detailed account of episode content.

Also, being a fan of Shigeno is not required to "enjoy" IDW. I personally think he's a bad artist.

It's destinated to be a french website. The french wiki only have 2 pages

, and Wikipedia page is not updated. I want to make an accurate and complete french wiki.

APX → The fact that it concerns Shigeno's works, and not only Initial D, i did not put it in ID Section.

But i'm asking if i can expand the website to something like Project car related manga

I think he's just asking to be friends with IDW.

It's not really a matter of having hyperlink intercourse but more a matter of just placing an IDW button/banner on the site.

No, a news based website about Shigeno's work OR car related manga and anime

Like xiao said, be friends and sharing information between us. (Like sharing with me information about the american release of Initial D, the front and back covers for a complete database)

For the wiki, no problem. I'll write everything by myself.

Someone hasn't read BariBari Densetsu.

I like the idea of a site that collects as much information about Shigeno and his works as possible. I've always wanted to read his older stuff but most of it isn't even online, let alone translated.

My only gripe is not knowing French. Rain, you speak English pretty fluently, right? Would you be able to make the site bilingual?

There's like over 30 chapters, but last time I checked with a bud of mine in Tokyo he said all the chapters of DDD were compiled into just 5 tomes. I don't think kiyomaru's still drawing Densha though... I think he's either on hiatus or moved on to other doujin projects...? But I'm almost positive it's only 5 tanks to date though.

I like the idea of having a wikia or other site focused on Shigeno, since I am interested in his post- and pre-Initial D works, which are hardly known or even talked about, besides MAYBE Bari Bari Densetsu (which had an animated OVA back in the 80s, I think), and some brief snippets here and there about other works such as the love story that recently IDW shared here and a few pics and a brief synopsis of his most recent works, including the one that seemingly seemed like a self-fantasy work (about a mangaka getting romantically involved with a younger woman) and his most recent work which is about a girl getting involved in baseball/softball.

Initial D is his magnum opus, and Bari Bari to a much lesser extent. The guy's never done doujinshi, or worked as an actual mechanical desgner for a car company or magazine to my knowledge... the most work he's done with a CG program is probably Photoshop & supervising Sega or OB Planning's toon-shading on the anime. Sailor Ace is alright if you're desperate ~~and are a Japanese office lady~~ but otherwise... I'd just stick to Initial D and Bari Bari for the time being...

Maybe Sailor Ace too cause xiao's desperate and likes to think of himself as a cute OL on the weekends...
