U P D A T E : (01-30-06) Original thread has been splitted. The posts before mine are all removed. Yes, it's a pity that we have to do that, but most of them were just a song title anyways. Too many people gained hundreds of posts by posting just song titles. It had got to stop. Here, we present you a solution. This thread will be for discussion and requests of music. You can talk about how you feel about the song(s) you are listening to. Don't be afraid to use some adjectives. Talk about the band or the artist of the song. Basically, post something in your own words, not just copy and paste song title and lyrics. If you post just song titles and/or lyrics in this thread, you will be warned for spamming. You can also request songs in this thread. For example, if you see someone is listening/talking about a song of your liking, you can request for that song. You can also share the song you are listening to. Direct linking to websites is not encouraged. We recommend you use upload service such as http://www.yousendit.com when sharing songs or fulfilling requests. To put it short, this is the non-spam version of the "What song are you listening to" thread. If you feel the urge to tell the world what you are listening to right now, feel free to use the thread in Recirculation Forum -> https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=20435 ------------------------------ Example Post Right now, I am listening to Fin.K.L - ja jon shim. ja jon shim means be careful or something according to her. Although I don't really understand what they are singing, but it's really a nice little upbeat KPop song. <3 Fin.K.L !! And that's how you should be posting in this thread, instead of just copying and pasting the song title and hit the reply button. Sorry, this thread isn't really heading the right direction the original topic starter intended. And this had gone on long enough, but it needs to come to end. Hope you all had fun bumping up the post count. Here's what we (Administrators) will take on this. We'll create an identical thread in Recirculation Forum where post count is not incremented when you make replies. That'll take care of the I-want-to-let-the-world-know-what-I-am-listening-to crowd. Then we'll create a thread in Off-Topic where people post the song title they are listening to and talks a little about the song and its genre or whatnot (refer to the first part of this post.) Basically the post needs to have a little discussion instead of just posting the song title. We'll let the thread go on 'til January 27th, 2006, when all the post count will be recounted. (more information will be provided in Announcement Board later on.) Have fun ! |

Well, since I am at school I am just listening to whatever I got stored on my network drive, which isn't much... I'm listening to Poison, by Groove Coverage, and another song of the same name sung by Groove Twins... The two sound very different... The first one has more of a DDR-style beat to it... and just sounds all around better than the Groove Twins version... |

It's going to be spliced into 2 different threads Takumi Drift, one in which the poster actually talks about the song he is currently listening to (where post count is incremented) and another thread in which you can just spam away with song titles like 98% of the posters (including myself) are guilty of, but post count doesn't increase. |

Well you have to respect Perry's decision... He does pay to support this forum... I'd love to donate money but I don't have access to credit/pay pal... Btw... I'm listening to Gao Gai Gar (TV) Opening theme... This theme harkens back to old school Super Robot shows... With the shouts and the repetition of the words Ga Ga Ga Ga!!! Just listening to it makes me want to go out and download the whole show and not wait for Akira to hook me up with it... |

No More Chances - Frankie Beat. One of the greatest Gino Caria songs ever. While the lyrics themselves aren't too powerful, they are a serious force when combined with the awesome vocals Caria offers. The melody is nothing too special, but the creepy sound effect thrown at times are fantastic. The saiba (the "chorus" in Eurobeat terms), however, is a masterpiece. Caria puts everything he has into the repeating "No more chances to ____", and the end to the chorus gets to me every time (see below). The song is a beautiful example of what Eurobeat is capable of. "Need a chance.... my romance is forever..." @Takumi_Drift: Tough luck, dude. Someone was bound to catch on to the folly of this thread at some point anyways. It's only a matter of time before they copy this remedy to the "rate the sig..." thread that you love so much, too. |

Right Now. Iam watchig "When Iam gone-Eminem" music vid. Its a cool vid, even though Em has lost his touch. |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 24 2006, 02:11 PM |
No More Chances - Frankie Beat Hmm... Got to agree with Tessou, a really good song from Gino Caria. I feel sad that he's gone and that there's no more of work aside from what has been released so far. I do like the female chorus though, flows very nicely with Gino's voice... |

Led Zeppelin-Rock n' roll Personally, it's my fourth favourite Led Zeppelin song (behind Immigrant song, Kashmir then Stairway to heaven) |
Posted by: hellbent Jan 24 2006, 04:25 PM |
Break Things- Limp Bizkit. AN oldie. But I just love the vid |
Posted by: Takumi_Drift Jan 24 2006, 04:31 PM
isn't it called Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff not Break things? anyways i'm also listening to linp bizkit Limp Bizkit Feat. Snoop Dogg - Red Light Green Light |

Noots by Sum 41 (that one song from the Fantastic Four movie, when human torch took some girl snowboarding) AWESOME song!! |
Posted by: tUrB0 Jan 25 2006, 12:19 AM |
d'yer mak'er - led zeppelin this song is awesome, makes me cheer up when i'm feeling down, its not rock, but pretty damn good |
Posted by: darkpaladinzz Jan 25 2006, 05:34 AM |
Sum 41- Fat Lip this song has amazing lyrics...lol but yeah..teenage agression..XD |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 25 2006, 06:49 AM |
No Control - Manuel (eurobeat) Great great song... Especially now that I can hear a semi-full length version of the song... This version is from Speed & Power Style 2006, which has a bit of Go2's Not for Sale overlaid near the beginning... I've always been a fan of Manuel and thought he was better than Nuage, who he has been compared to as being the male equivalent of... |

Tito's way (reverso 68 Remix) Thx Jayson for this song. good clubbing song. Gonna be banging this next time Iam out with the peeps |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 25 2006, 08:39 AM |
Hmmm.... Interesting title for a song... Tito's way... Bang Bang for your Love - Chester Another good eurobeat song, I'm finding myself playing this more often than the shortened version of No Control... I like the beat to it... |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 25 2006, 04:15 PM |
Night of Fire - Hinoi Team I can't help liking the adorable voices of the members of Hinoi Team as they sing this eurobeat song. The only thing sidetracking of this amazing track is the chubby guy (from the video), I think his name is Korikki, having a few voiceovers in the song... |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 25 2006, 04:19 PM |
The Haunted - Nothing Right You can tell everything's tight in this song; Their drummer is f**king amazing, and their guitarists are dead on in the pocket... |
Posted by: hellbent Jan 25 2006, 04:24 PM |
Wild Desire- Ace warrior. I happen to be listening to some old eurobeat lately. I love this song for driving. |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 25 2006, 04:27 PM |
Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone I love this song for ass kicking |
Posted by: Takumi_Drift Jan 25 2006, 10:03 PM |
Lee Harding - Holiday this is the same song by Green Day just sung by one of the Australian Idols contestents |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 26 2006, 08:22 AM |
I guess there's only 1 more day left for this thread... I'm listening to Chester's Bang Bang for your Love. As I've said previously, I really like this song and hope to find more of the same. I've listened to other songs sung by the same artist but I find that those songs lack the same kind of beat and energy as this one does. |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 26 2006, 09:29 AM |
Into the Night - Mega NRG Man This song is of the new SEB 164 album. It's kind of disappointing, as it's not as it doesn't put out that quick beat, high-energy feeling of Mega NRG Man's last few outings... |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 26 2006, 10:55 AM |
Queen - Mark Foster Another track off of SEB 164. It's different from Foster's previous offering, Like a Fire, however it has a bit of an upbeat, quick beat to it that I'm really liking. |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 26 2006, 03:40 PM |
Looka Bomba - Go2 Another excellent track from Ace & Fastway as Go2. It's almost like every track these guys collaborate on have this feeling that gets you all pumped up as you listen to it. For those that like eurobeat, definetly a song to listen to. |
Posted by: Takumi_Drift Jan 26 2006, 03:50 PM |
HINOI TEAM - PLAY WITH THE NUMBERS yet another corny song by the Hinoi team that like to listen to |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 26 2006, 03:59 PM |
China - Ken Martin Sadly, although this one has a nice beat to it, I'm too used to Ken Martin's style from Sexy Sexy Sexy, and didn't find to be that good a song... |
Posted by: Bishop Jan 26 2006, 05:34 PM
Songs that get you pumped eh?!?!?! Can you tell me the names of some other ones |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 26 2006, 07:24 PM
Well pretty much anything from Go2... It's hard to think of which ones from the top of my head... |
Posted by: xiao Jan 27 2006, 06:22 PM |
At the moment I am listening to http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=20Y5W8ZBGZEEZ0YUQ8T3H2KMI. The song was specifically composed for the new PS2 game Dirge of Cerberus. Unlike most songs by this bishie rocker, this one actually involves less violins and more guitar. The song talks about perseverance through events that makes a soul want to renounce. The single comes with an accompanying song Longing, all together making for a great little package. For anyone that has access to this week's Famitsu, I suggest you get it. |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 27 2006, 07:02 PM |
Metamorphoze - Gackt This is the Zeta I movie's opening theme, and perhaps the only Gackt song (aside from the ending theme of the movie) that I've heard. Comparing him to the only other JPop/JRock artists I know of (such as Hyde/Tetsu from L'arc) he has a very nice voice, a bit rough but somehow it fits the theme of the Zeta movies. |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 28 2006, 11:26 AM |
China - Ken Martin (a.k.a. Mauro Farina) Good song, I can actually tell that Mauro Farina is behind Ken Martin's voice... Interesting that the song is about China, it's the second track off of SEB 164 that's about China... |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 28 2006, 12:20 PM |
Outta Space - Prodigy I wonder what's actually happened with Prodigy, they haven't had any albums out in years... I find there older stuff, like Voodoo People and Outta Space, to be some of their best works... Anyone here listen to the Prodigy? |
Posted by: APX Jan 28 2006, 12:40 PM |
Prodigy.. that euro group? white dude and black dude? Theres too many people with the name prodigy now >_< Lamb of God - Vigil |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 28 2006, 02:12 PM
Yeah, that group exactly... They actually have 4 guys... the white guy, who is the lead singer, had a reverse mohawk last time I saw them... |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 28 2006, 02:49 PM |
Come on people, let's start talking about the music we listen to! Make a Movement - Dave Rodgers It's a song off a previous Eurobeat album, I am not sure if there was anything done for this one, i.e. remixed, cause it sounds like the one off the said old Eurobeat album. |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 28 2006, 04:06 PM |
Slayer - Angel Of Death Kerry King is a f**king shredder... That's all I have to say about that |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 28 2006, 04:21 PM |
Kerry King? Is he the guitarist in that group Midnight? I take it the song is also rock? |
Posted by: APX Jan 28 2006, 05:22 PM |
Thats kerry king, but the other guy is more badass. Deicide - Worst Enemy |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 29 2006, 01:14 AM |
The Haunted - One Kill Wonder The more I listen to The Haunted, the more they musically sound like Slayer... |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 29 2006, 01:30 AM |
Steel Dragon - Wasted Generation Even for a fake band, Zakk Wylde's licks are still worthy of brain-bashing... |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 29 2006, 03:28 AM
As much as I like Linkin Park, I say "Blah"... Buckcherry - Lit Up I saw them in concert with Kid Rock and Fuel a couple years back...Great f**king band with that 80's metal feel to their music... Too bad they were a 2-hit wonder... |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Jan 29 2006, 03:57 AM |
Judas Priest - Out In The Cold Before the guitars kick in, the intro sounds like something you would f**king hear from a 1970's space sci-fi movie... |
Posted by: Takumi_Drift Jan 29 2006, 04:02 AM |
HINOI TEAM - PLAY WITH THE NUMBERS sounds like a fkn counting song from some childrens show but I LIKE IT!! |
Posted by: Ayako Watanabe Jan 29 2006, 07:13 PM |
DHT - Listen To Your Heart The more I listen to this song, the more i feel I'm taken into a day dream and my body goes into a trance and just all of a sudden... |

d'yer mak'er - led zeppelin oh boy, this song really gets me all emotional, the way robert plant moans, its nice though i think d'yer mak'er was meant to be pronounced as 'jah maker' but i have no idea what it means edit: ooo...we can make music requests? can someone please help me upload wings of desire by wishbone ash? i love that song |
Posted by: BOZZ Jan 30 2006, 12:05 PM |
Holy Jumping Jesus... Some of the posts in this thread are like 3-4 straight just mine... o.O Well if you can make requests here, I'd like to request some of the songs that Slash (of Guns 'n' Roses fame) has worked on outside of GnR... I really like his work on GnR, but haven't had the chance to hear any of his new stuff... |

Trivium - Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr Gotta love the intro with the douple bass and the aggressive palm-muted open notes... My second favorite track on their "Asendancy" album (Next to "A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation")... |

Lakersfanman33 - First Warning (33%) (reason: posting just the song title in the non-spam version of the "What songs are you listening to" thread.) On topic, listening to Byul - I Think I. It's one of the theme song from the Korean drama series Full House. Nice voice and melody. I highly recommend it. |

Halo 2 Theme: Mjolnir Mix- Martin o' Donnell & Michael Salvatori Everytime I hear this on my iPod, I see myself pwning my friends over a million times saying "How the hell did he kill me!!!!" Ahhh...good times...Not to mention the rock instrumentals, classical orchestration, and choir are a nice mix that seem to flow seamlessly. Gives that certain outer space mystery to it... |

baila pistolero - marie belle really nice song, i came across it on eurobeat-prime and the lyrics seemed good, so i decided to request it here its energetic and the singer has a nice voice as well |

Forever Young - Symbol (Super Eurobeat Presents Initial D Fourth Stage D Non-Stop Selection) It sounds quite a bit different from the one off the previous Initial D D Selection album and the Eurobeat album it was on. There's a different rift played in the background of the song, I really like it... |

Yellowcard - Lights and Sounds I really don't like the band a lot, but this song was stuck in my head for 1-2 days. At First I thought it was a crappy song, but when I watched their live performance of this song it was pretty catchy. So far I only like 2 of their songs at the moment... |
Posted by: Kerxn Jan 31 2006, 10:53 PM |
The Hives - A Little More for Little You I find this song pretty catchy, like all Hives songs. The guitar that comes in every 2 measures (I think it's 2) makes it even catchier. The video of this song is extremely weird as well. They are awesome because they use tuxedos on everything, live performances and video clips, and that adds to their uniqueness. |

sunday - nuage this is generally a happy song, but sections of these song sound very similar to 'goodbye yellow brick road' |

Mos Def - Do It Now Great song, Mos and Busta Rhymes. Beat is sick, great for dubbing to a bball video (which my friend did). If youre into rap, request it. |

http://s36.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1ITPQWUKFSJFQ2RSTLZB4UYJSS This song is great with lyrics like And still I see no changes. Can't a brother get a little peace? There's war on the streets & the war in the Middle East. Instead of war on poverty, they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me. And I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do. This song is just so relevant to what some people go through. |

Car of Your Dreams- Dave and Nuage This song integrates the voices nicely, which I like...not to mention if any member of Project D races against another girl, they should play this song. Romantic, yet has the adrenaline pace to it for a race... |

Rage Against the Machine - Calm Like a Bomb I must that this is one of the greatest bands ever. Sucks that they broke up the band, they would have been great right now since of the war (just like Nick said) If you want some of their songs, just send me a Pm and i'll try to give you a song asap. |
Posted by: BOZZ Feb 1 2006, 11:43 PM
You do realize that members aside from Zack started a new band, Audioslave, I think? I've heard some of their stuff but not nearly as good as the RAGE stuff... And what the heck has happened to Zack de la Rocha, he made some song about the war entitled March of Death with DJ Shadow 2 years ago, but no concrete music from him since... |

Posted by: APX Feb 2 2006, 01:59 PM |
He didn't collab with them, he just did a cover of it, and I must say, they would be proud of it. I'll try to find the song you can hear it. |

Subaru - First Warning (33%) (reason: posting just the song title in the non-spam version of WSAYLT? thread.) Currently listening to Fin.K.L - Behind You from the Memories and Melodies album. Quite soothing with relaxing beats. Looks like all I am listening to is Fin.K.L nowadays. Well, what can I say, they are good. If you want a change and considering Asian Pop, be sure to check out Fin.K.L. |

Whew, for a second when I saw Perry posting again here I was thinking I posted something wrong myself by requesting that song from APX... Currently listening to the Fourth Stage - Non-Stop Mix... It's not that bad a mix, I wish they had remixed Forever Young more cause I really liked the newly added background beat they added to it... I specifically refer to the part at the beginning before he starts singing "Come on baby, light my fire, ready for the show..." They should have used that new beat throughout the whole song instead of stopping about midway and switching back to the old Forever Young beat... |
Posted by: Bishop Feb 2 2006, 03:17 PM |
Hey BOZZY, would you be able to upload that Forever Young track? http://s30.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0Z6KJV12N5FG73OCVH6LKVYGWY (SEB 107) My favorite eurobeat song. It's somewhat similar to what the type of eurobeat that Sophie makes, it has a very mellow but uplifting tune to it. The lyrics in this song are very catchy, and like most female SEB artist, they speak of "Finding what you're looking for" (which in this song would be love) A few interesting details about Eurobeat... While modern music is often recognized by its lyrics, Eurobeat is recognized not only by its lyrics but by its Saiba, which is the main harmony created by a synthesizer. This broad genre can create a great number of different "sub-genres" within it because of this combination of harmony and rhythm. Sometimes it can still sound like the old disco music we know, sometimes it can be very "fast and happy" like Happy Hardcore or Speed Music, and occasionally it even uses guitars as a method of Saiba. One peculiar thing about Eurobeat is the fact that each artist is often credited with a variety of different aliases. Artists usually adopt different stage names according to the mood of each song, or depending on who wrote their lyrics. For instance, Ennio Zanini has stated on the SCP Music website that he goes by the name of "Fastway" on songs which are more upbeat and sprinkled with high-pitched female backing vocals, and goes by "Dusty" on his more "serious" tracks. Also a popular theory is that Eurobeat artists such as Clara Moroni and Giancarlo Pasquini manufacture the same acts under many different names in order to "compete with themselves". |

Boys Band - Crazy Night At the moment it's my fave Eurobeat song cause I wanted it for the longest time when i heard it on the 3rd Stage DVD menu. I LOVE the beat during the chorus cause I'm more of an up-tempo beat guy myself. P.S. Big thanx yet again to Smiley For the song... MAX respect |

Rage Against The Machine -- f**k The Police (NWA Cover) Damn, only RATM can do something like this. I started laughing when he thanked the police for being there and blam *intro beat* f**k THE POLICE! Damn are they good. Oh yeah, I hope you like those songs I sent you bozzy |

god is a girl - groove coverage this eurodance track is good, although the vocalist sounds a little bit constipated, the overall song is good |

You should send me that one as well... I remember when I heard it, I was like wow... I think I am going to have whip out those RATM cds of my brothers and start listening... It's too bad Audioslave isn't politically minded in their songs as was RATM, damn lame ass (referring to the Audioslave singer) singer... |

Is it a significant change?? For someone who has heard the song a LOT (like me ) can I notice the new beat...I bet it's be good, since the song itself is already cool.. BTW: Listening to I Wanna Be the Night- Chris T. One of the BEST Initial D and Eurobeat songs EVER!! The beat, lyrics, and overall feel of it is great. Plus I can see myself owning my friends in IDV3, since I was listening to this when I beat them!! |

Posted by: Akagi's White Comet Feb 3 2006, 06:22 PM
It is a great song!! The beat and lyrics are so catchy I find myself whistling to it or singing it when I don't realize it!! Besides, No Control may have had the most hype ever for an Initial D song to date, so it shows how cool it is!! It's like the song was made to signify the deadly practice run in eps. 15 of fourth stage.. |

Posted by: MidnightViper88 Feb 3 2006, 07:32 PM
What do you mean "too bad"? Shit, in some aspects, I like Audioslave more than Rage Against The Machine... I never care for the lyrics anyway...Chris Cornell is actually a singer...They're not as heavy this time around, but they're more melodic too... Steel Dragon - Wasted Generation For a fake band with Zakk Wylde as their guitarist, they're pretty damn good... |
Posted by: APX Feb 3 2006, 08:13 PM |
I'm listening to http://s36.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1N0DRQ402IZ400HX3Z46GY30YY << click to download. I must say, there a very good band, sucks that the lead singer is dead Isn't this a Judas Preist song??? |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Feb 3 2006, 08:57 PM |
Yes, Painkiller is a Judas Priest song... Quiet Riot - Bang Your Head (Metal Health) Quiet Riot have released an album containing material from their early Randy Rhoads years that I wanna get... |

I liked RATM's politically-laced songs... that's just me, I guess... I think Audioslave, although they have that beautiful RATM sound to them, lack a great singer like Zack... |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Feb 4 2006, 01:32 AM |
I have this stigma against bands that write politically-charged lyrics...Even though that's the last thing I usually pay attention to, it's just a subject that really annoys the hell out of me as background noise...All this new stuff from System of a Down and Green Day and alot of those punk bands out there... Dave Mustaine is about the only guy I activly listen to that writes political songs...Then again by comparison, like Tom Morello, he's actually a musician that can pick up a guitar and do something besides make half-assed noise anyway... Trivium - A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation |

m.c.A.T - Bomb A Head! V For those who don't know it's the opening song for Tenjou Tenge and for a JPOP/RAP song it's pretty good, has a catchy beat and is a song you want to listen to couple times a day. But if you want a laugh I suggest watching the music video its tragic yet I couldn't look away |

Listening to: Piao Yi- Jay Chou Gave some hope that the Initial D live action movie wasn't so bad!! I mean the beat isn't that bad, even though its C-Pop, and the lyrics are decent (but isn't he saying his name over and over again, oh well). Its a good song, since its an Initial D song... |

Moonlit Wilderness from the Tekken 5 OST Is definitely one of the best songs from the video game; the guys and gals at Namco studios really stepped up in regards to the soundtrack to this game. It's not as pop-like or electronic-ish like their first few offerings and thankfully not as rock-like as some of their latest offerings... It's a good song, features Motsu singing, with Yuri doing some background singing... |

Return to Sender - Elvis Presley Five O'Clock World - The Vogues Chain Gang - Sam Cooke Heh heh, you just gotta listen to the oldies sometimes. 1) Return to Sender. I like the way the chorus is done in this song. That's pretty much the only reason why I like the song. That and the fact that it's Elvis on the mic. 2) Five O'Clock World. Anyone working a shitty job (or watched the musical special on the Drew Carey show) should be familiar with this goddamn song. I like putting the volume just high enough that coworkers can hear it and hate their jobs just as much as I hate mine. 3) Chain Gang. I heard this song a long time ago and just got it today. The background singers emulate the grunts of "the men working on the chain gang", which apparently sound like "Hwuh..... HAH!" The lead singer tries to come off as one of those grunting guys, but casts himself more as a weak guy incapable of hard labor. A true classic! |

Dark New Day - Follow The Sun Down I went and seen Dark New Day with Crossfade and Seether over the past Fall when they came to Louisville for the KY State Fair...They were a damn good alternative rock band...Great singer, along with a guitarist that can actually play lead... I love the bass line in this song... |

Ice Ice Baby - Kacey Baker It's pretty much a variation of Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby (one of my personal all-time favourites) redone in an eurobeat-style. It's got a very nice beat to it, and is not anything like how I would have expected an eurobeat version of Ice Ice Baby to be like. |

right now(euro power mix) - dark angels this song sounds more 'metal' than eurobeat, although some parts of it are indeed eurobeat, the mix results in a good song though |

Iron Maiden - The Trooper It's f**king Iron Maiden, what do you want me so say about them?! >< My cousin and I really need to learn how to play this song together... |
Posted by: BOZZ Feb 11 2006, 11:22 AM |
Ice Ice Baby - Kacey Baker This is practically the only song I listen to... I wonder if it's just the nostalgia of it all, or the fact that I really like the remixed version... If only they had Ninja Rap in an eurobeat mix... |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Feb 11 2006, 11:24 AM |
Shadows Fall - The Light That Blinds I love this song, because the acoustic intro sounds so much like something you'd hear from Metallica...Has a bad-ass break down riff that's much more than palm-muted open notes too... |

too hard for the f**king radio - mac dre this song was his first single out...this single got ALOT of radio time(in the bay) cuz mac dre was so savage.if he didnt go to jail for "conspiracy to rob a bank" (bullshit made up by the cops because he didnt snitch on J-diggs in court)...this was a good thing because in jail he got alot of his lyrics...IF mac dre woulda survived 1 more month in the game the BAY AREA woulda been as big as the dirrrty south even sooner |

True Light from the DN Angel ~True Light~ Single album Only reason I am listening to this is cause I downloaded it for a member of these forums, it's a song used as an opener for the anime DN Angel. It's got a got an instrumental/classical kind of feel to with soft male vocals. |

Search Mode - Eguchi Takahito [Trinity Blood OST] This song sounds similar to elevator music. Some acousticals, possibly what sounds like a bass (the cello looking ones) and some echoey drums constantly running in the background with some various sound effects playing through the song. Sounds very similar to the music in MGS2 when playing as Raiden |

Namida 3000-M.O.V.E i have begun to enjoy m.o.v.e's latest album altough i dont like some of the songs like misha and gothica and all those other vocal less songs. Namida 3000 is somewhat of a sad tone since namida=tears but u can still hear some excitement in it. good collaberation and im hooked to it |

Tool - The Grudge The whole "Lateralus" album is f**king genius...Really musically dark and intelligent...Hadn't listened to it in years, but I busted it out for a listen lately and became re-addicted (Music makes more sense now that I'm a musician too)... Danny Carey's a f**king nut on his drums too... |

^ dark side of the moon...good song...my philosophy prof actually had us sit and listen to it a few times over during a class and just discuss the lyrics and stuff ...as for myself, currently just listening to a bunch of eurobeat albums ive been downloading (specifically eurobeat disney's remix of "reflection" from mulan right now)...been in a mood for faster paced stuff lately for some reason |

Neppuu! Shippuu! Saibasutaa~ from Demonic Armor Psybuster Kamuhiya! Daitaan 3! from Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3 Mazinger Z from Mazinger Z (go figure) I've had these song for ages ever since I imported Super Robot Wars 3 for my old SNES and heard simplified versions in the Karaoke menu. Some of the coolest anime themes I've heard... (However, the theme to Combattler V sucks total ass.) |

number one - fastway this song is near sonic, very fast, to my liking, but it sounds too Hi-NRG, which is not Fastway;s style |

Van Halen - Hot For Teacher I finally got their "1984" album over the weekend...Great shit... Can't go wrong with David Lee Roth-era Van Halen... |

SaGa - Madoka (Eng) It's still a good song but personally it lacks the rythm of the original but that I mean the flow of the verses compared to the original Japanese lyrics. Sidenote: Are the rest of their songs the same quality as this and if so does anyone know where to download/buy their cds? At MidnightV: I agree David Lee Roth owns over the other guy so much I can't remember his name what is Sammy Hagar... oh well GO THE ROTH |

Burning Love from Super Beast Machine God Dancougar - A great ending theme to a fantastic robot anime that will never make it stateside. The sound may be distinctly 80's at some points, but it's still a damn good song. Konbatoraa V no Theme from Ultra Electromagnetic Robot Combattler V - Okay, so I'm not too big of a fan of this song, but the anime was solid enough to override that problem. Yet another robot anime that will never see a US release... Actually, the song isn't that bad, but I just like the theme to Mazinger Z (which also aired in the early 70's) a hell of a lot more. Namida wa nai Namida wa nai ashita ni hohoemi arudake KAMUHIYA! DAITAAN 3!! DAITAAN 3!! |

I'm listening to... Dying Fetus -- One Shot, One Kill I must say... this song is f**kin awsome, just heavy from start to finish. Weird thing though, the band has gone through alot of members in its time, the only original member is I think the lead guitar/vocals and the bassist, and the rest are new. And i'm still waiting for their new album to come out! |

"toi khong tin" by ung hoang phuc. i'm listening to alot of sad vietnamese songs lately. even though i barely understand what they mean, just in that mood lately i guess. alot of relationship stories in them and it reminds me of my own and wat would happen if we never met each other. would i be happy? would she be happy? just something i keep pondering cuz it seems i just keep messing up lately. |

Heh... I didn't know you were into the old school Super Robot animes Tessou... >< Although Combattler V most likely won't be released here, I've seen the whole series (and Voltes) both available fansubbed, in decent english. Currently listening to : King Gainer Over! by Yoshiki Fukuyama It's the opener to a robot anime called Overman King Gainer, and has the distinct, most original opening video ever, in which all the main robots in the show are getting down and dancing to the song. |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Feb 16 2006, 12:38 PM |
Trivium - Died In Your Arms Every rock album needs a ballad of some sort...It's no Billy f**king Idol, but it's still a heavy ballad... |
Posted by: Tessou Feb 16 2006, 12:50 PM
Combattler V and Voltes V are good, but have you seen Daimos yet? Daimos is the final part of the Robot Romance Trilogy. Overman King Gainer is relatively new (02-03), and I friggin' LOVE it. The opening is fantastic! The characters and Overman do "the monkey" to the music! Oh... argh! Dammit! Back on topic! Currently listening to FLY [Small Circle of Friends] from Samurai Champloo. The episode "Baseball Blues" played last night on Adult Swim, and I couldn't help but play the crap out of this song afterwards. It's a perfect song to end the non-serious episodes of the series. I really enjoyed the vocals for some reason. The guy's voice is really soft, but somehow you can hear it over the beats. "Just where the hell did you come from, anyways? Shut your yapper!" - Mugen |
Posted by: BOZZ Feb 16 2006, 01:10 PM
I have yet to see any of the three... Sadly I can't seem to find Daimos subbed anywhere... Batman is Bruce Wayne - Garcon It's a eurobeat song that has the main line of "Batman is Bruce Wayne" and is about Batman. The single oddest title I've ever heard from the eurobeat line. |

I though almost everyone just posted the song tittle and artist that they were listening to only? Guess I'm way behind on things and didnt realize what happened in this thread. Circle Of Star - A Dream Is A Wish I have to learn this song because I have to do a dance for the play at my school After this comes: Paul Van Dyk - Castles In The Sky Love this song. Gonna love it more when it puts me in a daydream trance. |

Use https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=20435 if you just want to post the title and artist of whatever you're listening to. Big Bang by Nik Key, on the album Super Eurobeat vol.138. This is one of my favorite eurobeat songs, mostly because of the way the vocals are filtered. The filter is like the one used in Express Love by Mega NRG Man, but it seems a bit lighter. In true eurobeat style, the lyrics make little to no sense, but the beat is good, and that's all that matters when it comes to eurobeat. |

If so I would recommened you this song from Paul Oakenfold: Paul Oakenfold - Calling The Angels (dj taucher club remix) It really gets you going. its got some good beats, sounds, and rhythm to it. I'm listening to some some old school Dying Fetus... Dying Fetus - Grotesque Impalement I must say, their old stuff was really dark, and do I mean dark. but now its gotten pretty soft, but their still heavy as hell >_< And they better hurry up with their new album!!! |

Papoose feat. Busta Rhymes - Address Me As Mister Done to the Biggie Smalls - Just A Memory beat. They both have a nice flow, and the lyrics are killer. "I don't know what you actin like you heartless for when you know you a target like the department store" |

It's Like That - Indy Q featuring Jesse It's a track off of the Speed and Power Style 2006 album that I recently downloaded. The beat used in this song, I think it's from a Beyonce song, but kinda mixed using the Eurobeat-style, and I must say this song, as well as the others on the 2nd CD where it's found, is some of the best eurobeat music I've heard. |

Metallica - To Live Is To Die The instrumental tribute to Cliff Burton off "...And Justice For All"...No doubt, the best song on the album, due to all the complex tempo/rhythm changes, ecentric guitar solo, and just the overall emotions the song can convey... ...and it's heavy... |

Okay okay, I'll start assuming, but you do know what they say about assuming things...? In the Name of Love - Red Garden This is yet another song off the Speed and Power Style 2006 album, off the second CD. It is a trance remix of a U2 song, I'm a fan of Bono and U2, so it took me by surprise. It sounds good in a trance style, almost better than the original... |

I didn't say anything... hehehe Sunrise (Yanou's Sunset Mix) - Angel City featuring Lara McAllen This is another offering from the Speed and Power Style 2006 CD, it's actually the last song off the 2nd CD. It's somewhat of a slow, sombre song, which is a departure from the other offerings which are all trance. To be honest it's a perfect song for a romantic moment in a movie, say perhaps a final kiss between two characters at the end of the movie. |

Listening to the forums' radioBlog, currently it's playing Utada Hikaru - First Love (Dance Remix) I don't really like the dance version of the song too much. I think the original version is way better, seriously. The remix version took away the sincere and serene feel of it. |

Virus by Deltron 3030 I'll admit, this is the first time listening to it - I recently downloaded the 3030 album. And I've got to say, it's pretty well strung together. It has a creepy-ish beat that I'm really feeling. |

Cascada - Everything We Touch Never heard of this artist until I decided to download it while looking for trance in LimeWire.... now Im hooked and now I got most of the artist songs in one day ( And it happened one week ago ). I really recommend anyone to give this song a try. |

Metallica - Ride The Lightning I love how Kirk Hammet wrings out his solos like they last an eternity...It just progressively builds up, and then he lets loose with the arpeggios when it goes back double-time... |
Posted by: Rudy Feb 23 2006, 02:56 PM |
Ice Cube - True to the Game This is another great track on his 1991 release Death Certificate album. The beat and his lyrical flow string together very well, and it's a great representation of how west coast rap was about in the early '90's. Awesome track. |
Posted by: MidnightViper88 Feb 23 2006, 03:40 PM |
Megadeth - Hangar 18 The intro riff to this song sounds alot like Metallica's "The Call of Ktulu", since Dave Mustaine wrote much of Metallica's earlier stuff while he was still in the band... The solo battle between Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine for the last half of the song is f**king awsome...You can definitly tell a difference in style between the two... |

Blackalicious - Release parts 1, 2, and 3 The way this song goes through three phases is quite impressive. It's a ten minute long song, but worth it imo... it delivers a unique sound not often heard in rap, and the way it is indeed a three-part song adds to its uniqueness. If you're into rap, this song is worth a look. |

i got 5 on it - luniz this song got alot of air time..back when it first hit in the mid 90's it features yukmouth C.E.O. of smoke-a-lot and numskull(now a porn director), the beat is i guess melow while the lyrics are saying that "ill put 5 on it lets go and get keyed, and mess with that indo weed" |

Silent Hill 2 - Fukuro This song is rather unique and one of my favorites. It combines alot of industrial sounds as well as soft, ahunting sounds from the game itself. Though not in the game, it is apart of a 'music video' dedicated to Pyramid Head, the villian of Silent Hill 2. It's a rather unusual song that I listen to many times, just so I can get into the feel of the game or whatever Survival Horror I'm playing. It also combines a woman's moaning, prayer sounds and other interesting sounds that I can't place totally. It's a really neat song, which I enjoy whole-heartedly. It's not really a specific genre, either. It's just something strange to add to those with adventurous music tastes. |

Mindless Self Indulgence - Unsociable (extended) One of MSI's first songs, and I'm fairly sure it's a hit - combines the heavy-ish... industrial? rock style, with soemthing a little less crazy than what MSI can sometimes rip out. The fact it's a song of decent length really helps it, for MSI is known for imho songs that are way too short... a couple barely top one minute. But this one's definately one of my favorites. |

IDW's Radio Blog Personally the songs are a little slow for me but are still good none the less. My fave is Typhoon - More Than Ever cause it's a little more up tempo. |

You do realize that you are going to get warned, right? You can't just post the song title and lyrics anymore. Talk about the song at least... If you want to post just the title, there is a thread in the Recirculation Forums for posting them... |

Ying Yang Twins - Peanut Butter Jelly Time (remix) This song is absolutely insane, I'm sure everyone's heard the original... this track is bangin' cause it's just so siiiiiily. XD *grooves and gets down* XD |

Isn't that from the latest SEB 165 ? I got that song too. Not really my type of song. Can't feel the energy at all, maybe that's why they didn't pick it as an Initial D Fourth Stage song. See, you could have said all that and more. It's not hard. Anyways.. crazy_uness - First Warning (33%) (reason: posting just the song title in the non-spam version of WSAYLT? thread.) Hope you learn to read the topic title/description before posting next time. |

like a thunder - max coveri this song is nice, but most techno-y, my friends go 'huh?! techno?!' when they hear it, and i hate that, but the beat at the beginning is really catchy, and really nice, techno or not |

Today by Tom Scott This is the song that plays near the end of the most recent episode of The Boondocks (Riley Wuz Here, the one with the crazy painter). A most beautiful, calm rock/jazz piece from the 70's. That said, the saxophone solo in this song is the original. The one in They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) by Pete Rock & CL Smooth was sampled from this song, not the other way around like some people think. |

Poppin' Them Thangs - G-Unit Back in '03, this song was really played a lot on the air. It's got a flowin' beat that's sort of a signature of G-Unit, and the whole crew does a nice job lacing the lyrics with the beat. It's a song I can repeatedly listen to without really getting tired of, despite its age. |

Dead Kennedys-Holiday in Cambodia One of my favourite punk bands. The whole song's made out of power. P.S. The band first played in a Filipino restaurant |

Ghetto Bird by Ice Cube Another great example of West coast early 90's rap, this song is literally a fast-paced urban tale of Ice Cube portraying himself as being a street thug being chased by a helicopter, i.e. 'Ghetto Bird', as is the song's title. The beat is absolutely flooring if you've never heard it before, and is another great release Ice Cube pulled off after his NWA days. |

Manuel - No Control Nice eurobeat song from Initial D 4th Stage, and was featured in Episode 15 during Project D's course practice run before facing the thugs in the Evo's 5 and 6. Manuel is one of the newer Eurobeat artists but has proven to be among the best already, which is no surprise considering his is under Dave Rodger's Eurobeat record label, A-Beat C! This song was released on SEB 164, and even included in the newly released SEB 165 non-stop megamix. It has an awesome beat, and is one of my current favourites that I enjoy driving to. |

Do As Infinity - Fukai Mori Thank god for InuYasha or I would of never of heard this song (1st or 2nd ending song). I don't like slow songs normally but there was something about this song that drew me to it crazy I know it's almost scary. I HIGHLY recommend this song for the Jpop and Jmusic fans |

It's interesting you compliment Manual there Smiley, I've read a few posts here and there on Bahamut Forever, or was it Eurobeat Evolution, that Manual is considered the male Nuage for his great vocals. Black U.F.O. (The Factory Team Eurobeat Revenge) - Lupin Good song (provided by a certain awesome someone on IDW) that's somewhat in the style of Mark Farina (Alphatown, Mark Foster, Ken Martin, etc) that I prefer, the fast Eurobeat-style to the background beats used in the songs. I am actually starting to wonder if Lupin is another Farina alias... o.O |

Niko - Livin' on a Prayer This is a Eurobeat cover of the all-time great rock song, Livin on a Prayer by Jon Bon Jovi. This song is featured on SEB 145, and was one of the first non Initial D eurobeat songs that I took a liking to. It has the same lyrics to the original version, which is a rare occurance as most eurobeat songs instead use the same name of well known established songs but contain entirely different lyrics and melodies. Niko is one of the bigger names in the Eurobeat scene, thanks to hits including his Initial D First Stage classic 'Night of Fire' tUrB0, Bozz-man glad you're enjoying those songs there too! |

Amber Pacific - Gone so Young Has anyone ever listened to these guys? They're a pretty good band. I think you could call them 'emo' but whatever you prefer. Search them up on MySpace. They're pretty awesome. Does anyone know here know a good rock band. Nothing like AC/DC or Weezer. Nor Fall Out Boy. I'm looking for more of Blink 182, Sum 41 type thing. |

Listening to Black Cat by Lupin, yet another song that Smiley sent me. Very similar style to the previous Lupin song I was hearing, high-energy feel to it... Want to know something odd about Niko though Smiley? The guy you usually see who is called Niko is actually a body double apparently, the real Niko is this dude from some British or Italian music group... >< |
