Yes guys, this is really happening! We have IDAS8 in Europe! They recently installed two linked cabs at Las Vegas Arcade Soho in London! Been there today, the cabs are (of course) offline, but they have cards and everything works properly!

Here's the news (with pics).

If you're based in London, or anywhere else in the UK, you might want to give it a shot, since (as far as I know) there are no other places in the UK (or Europe?) with IDAS8 installed.

Edit: my freshly created card!

Congrats on finally having it there at the UK w00t2.gif

Are they JPN machines or EXP machines?

Thanks! This is one hell of an achievement, considering the poor state of the arcade scene in Europe!

The machines are fully in Japanese, so I assume they're not EXP.

It's JP ver seeing that there's no EXP written on it.

Hey guys!

I'm Toby, I manage the arcade. I'd been trying to get Initial D here ever since I started 2 years ago. I contacted Chris who runs the import company "Shadaloo" in the Netherlands and he managed to sort us out.

Not only with Initial D, but Taiko and Wangan 3DX+ aswell turned.gif

It's version B which will never be updated due to the online requirements, but I'm just happy we finally got it, think it's the only one in Europe!

Thanks Namer for posting this up ^^

The arcade I run is near London's Chinatown.
Anyone visiting can contact me via the Facebook "LasVegasArcadeSoho".

Thanks!

Congratulations, this is nice to see personally. I'll be visiting London in February and I'll try to stop by if I have the time in the schedule. Unfortunately for me, my cards will not be compatible for use since its JPN version. Still really awesome that you guys have the machines.

I'll be in London for a few days next week. I really don't know whether I have time in the itenary to visit but It is my hope I'll be able to come and see the machines. To see the first D8 machines in Europe, that would be like a nice thing to see as a IDAS fan.

My cards and their full tuned cars won't work though because they are EXP but it's okay. It would be nice to come and just play a few normal games or even purchases a card as a souvenir to bring home.

I visited here at the end of February. Nice place, and I especially liked playing the PS4 times arcade machines because I have never seen one.
