haha sorry i typed that on my PSP so I was too lazy to type alot. Well, i tried it out some more and found the the car feels a little too soft! Like you can literrally feel the car squating and such. I kinda like it and it does help since the tires aren't really the best. I think hardening the springs and adding S3's would make it alot faster. Also I think if you added a FC LSD and messed around with it other than sticking on a 1.0lsd it would have better exits and such. The stock transmission on this car is great but I don't think it can achieve as much as a FC tranny. I love how the car looks though. It looks like something you would see in some kinda concept car race series. I'll try the black widow once i have time. BTW! YOU OWE ME A REVIEW!! haha jk

I did leave the FC gearbox out of this car just because it's a Club Sport, cheapish, easy to live with trackday car, that can be driven on all tracks without bothering yourself with gear ratios. if the ratios don't suit the track, then you just have to be a real ace behind the wheel. I'll make a review when I get out of school. This post has been edited by FinToy-83 on Apr 1 2007, 01:41 PM |

Edit1* Here's the review, hope you actually see it since i can't bump this thread w/o double posting I took your evo to Tsukuba, it seems to be my car test standard course, lol, and just accelerating in a straight line, i could feel one interesting thing about this car It has almost no shift-shock, it doesn't hop or bog down, it just stays level, very impressive So im approaching the big corner, i go for the brakes, and guess what ?, like you said that rear just wants to fly on its own, so im flying all over the corner just trying to get it back into line, and i do and head for the start/finish line, coming up to the first turn im anticipating the rear's movement this time, it does it just slightly, but enough for me to throw it into a all-wheel drift, and it was beautiful, same angle all along the apex, right at the peak of the powerband After that i just grip normally through the next corner and head to the section with the giant tire, after clearing the first part and heading towards the 2nd left hand turn after passing under the tire, i wanted to see exactly how much grip this "ultimate grip monster" has, so i just turned in, floored it, and i couldn't have hit it any better, no understeer, no oversteer, no smoke, all throttle and grip, this is really a different Evo Once that was over, i just completed the lap like normal, but overall this is a great car, there are really no problems with it, the only thing i would say to improve on it trying to lessen that desire of the rear to go out wide, and maybe some more front tire grip, other than that this is very good, you did put alot of work into its LSD, you can feel it from just driving that its been well adjusted, Bravo Makes me wonder what you'll put out next... I'm trying to be subtle with the changes so that I wouldn't ruin the overall balance of the car. Little more front-end grip? Hmmm.. I think I'll try finishing few FF LSD-setups before paying more attention to the Evo's front diff. I've got few very nicely handling FF's already, but I'm going to try and improve them bit more. I've mostly done some lighter GTi-class cars, but soon i'll try something heavier, although FF's don't like if their power is increased above 210bhp. And just for fun, try this LSD/suspension setup on Golf R32 or Audi TT V6. They're almost as sweet handlers, especially the Golf. Thanks for the detailed review, that's a perfect birthday gift. Next I'll probably put out either something light and FWD or heavy and RWD.. or maybe a RUF-slayer? who knows. now that i finally got the idea how the LSD works in GT4, it's easy to make full weight AMV8 Vantage to handle like champ. |

The First MR that i truely like, The Toyota MRS Spyder (Tuned by 4-wheel specialty) What you'll need, A 2002 Toyota MRS Spyder Parts: -Racing Exhaust -Racing Brakes -Brake Controller -Port Polish -Engine Balance -Racing Chip -FC Transmission -Triple-Plate Clutch -Racing Flywheel -Stage 3. Turbo -FC Suspension -R3 Tires -Stage 3. Weight Reduction Your HP should be 295 on the dyno after all this Settings: No Aids BC: 5/3 SR: 4.8/6.0 RH: 100/98 SB: 4/5 SRB: 4/6 C: 2.5/1.8 STB: 7/6 Transmission: Set to track/preference DF: 28/24 This car was originally intended to rival the JGTC MRS from Toyota, but it does that and more... Ever wanted to know what it would be like to drive similarly to Godhand ?, well this MRS well get you just that, and possibly more, i've eliminated all the bad habits of the MR drivetrain, this thing sticks and holds its ground with no spin-factor or tendency to falter in the corners I focused alot on the overall balance of it to achieve that, and you'll know what i mean when you drive it, thats why its not fully downforced or anything Its also a great car to relax in, it runs so smoothly that you hardly experience stress Other than that, give it a try and see what you think This post has been edited by Kurei on Apr 3 2007, 02:43 PM |

Kurei, I've already bought and tried the car, but I've been bit too busy.. now, thanks to easter, I can finally test it properly. you'll get the review today. btw, does that car have LSD of any kind? I think I can never be able to handle 4WDs, except for the Celica GT-Four where Kurei actually liked it ><. I'm now fiddling with an RX-7 and retuning the Berserker R's suspension. The Berserker R, second version maybe out soon. The handling's very much improved and more tamed. Just one thing though, if you love power-overing in GT4, the Berserker R maybe your car this time... |

Even trail braking can be a pain in some cars but it can be easily cured by a well set up LSD, not to mention fine tuning the handling when the racing gets really serious. IDW Banned Member Group: Banned Posts: 2,975 Member No.: 14,568 Joined: Nov 24th 2005 Location: Varkaus, Finland | Kurei, I tested the car without the LSD @ Tsukuba, and I have to admit that it has very small things to improve, if even that. How did it feel: Plenty of grip, excellent turn-in and exit speed in slower, tighter corners. but in the last corner before the straight, car felt unsure; it did try to drift, but then it understeered and as a result, the overall speed suffered. there was also small amount of pogoing in some corners. Also, I felt that the cars grip came from tyres, not so much from the suspension or downforce ( hence the uncertain handling at the final corner). Outlaw, GT-R's are easy since they have perfect VCD/LSD already, called ATTESA-ETS Pro and even RWD's can be improved with LSD, especially heavy RWD's like Aston Martins. Spitfireix: hello thar, and yes, I agree with you.. naturally. congrats for losing the forum virginity in this thread. This post has been edited by FinToy-83 on Apr 6 2007, 09:00 AM |

Lol, and yes, there's more good news... Angel R (BNR32) is finally in progress. I understood how a GTR's suspension fully works, and yeah... I maybe able to counter the weird understeer I've been having... And yes, if you still have the Berserker R, here's the suspension setup. The gearbox setup may come quite soon. I've haven't tried yet actually, but I am interested with how an R32 handles. I'll take a look at your R32, and compare to mine. But there's one unique feature I noticed. Even with 755bhp, the Angel R doesn't need a GT spoiler to keep the tyres down. The ATTHESA does it for the R32 and actually corners more better without the GT spoiler. Top speed is a natural limit of 360kmh as well. As for cornering, I used the traditional "brake, tap gas, turn, half gas, tap brake, full gas"

Calsonic is wrestling in completely different series now.. since it simply loved this new LSD setup of mine.. only 2 seconds behind Escudo.. |

Yeah, that's what i used for the Angel R. Though, I realised something. The I can't get an R32 to do some power-over in some way, while the R33 power-overs are a little more unexpected, and the R34... Whoa, you're all over the place, but you're in control if you know how to handle it. But for me, this is how I see the three differences... BNR32 -Ultra grip -Powerband seems to be a bit... one directional -Requires more work to clear a corner and maintain the suitable speed. -The higher the ride height, the better the cornering ability. BNCR33 -Semi-grip, the rear seems a bit slip-stricken -Powerband is suitable for me but looks like a rally car's powerband. -Requires even more work to turn as you may understeer all of a sudden -Mid-range ride height is best for cornering ability. BNR34 -Grip/Slip -Powerband is perfect (Peak is in the mid-range, good for cornering at high revs.) -Working in the corners... You need some animal instinct to read the car's reactions. Underestimate it, see the wall on outside. Overestimate, see wall on inside. -Mid-low ride height is best for cornering.

R32= w1n R33= l053 R34=semi-w1n biased? me? |

That's not biasedness, that's just the truth... the old model feels a lot more planted in tight cornering whereas the later generations have a more or less floaty feeling in them, must be the truckload of electronics between the road and the driver. And it's fast too, believe me...
