Just remember what Initial D said about the SOHC "Hachi-Go", because Initial D taught me every single thing I know about cars, along with Fast and the Furious. Don't blow the welds on your intake, yo. Because if you nawz too much in your sweet cojack-smokin' Hachi-Go, the floorboards will fall out and Dominic and the Mad Scientists will have to rip apart the block to replace the piston rings you fried.

I swear to Our Lord Baby Jesus, you've been on a roll with these comical posts old bean!

Bubs, you really need to win an award the next time we do awards. I'm totally voting for you as "Favorite Poster (non-staff)." Seriously, bro.

AJ, stop looking for crapboxes that'll fall apart and eat your paycheck as "dailies." That's dumb as f**k. The hell happened to that Legacy for $300? Did you go check it out? Was it a rustbucket?

Stop looking at OOH PRETTY CAR I COULD TRY TO MAKE FAST because with your history, that won't ever f**king happen. You'll never get any progress done on anything because you can't even finish one project, let alone two. Get something ACTUALLY RELIABLE and in your price range.

Every thread makes me lose hope more. Le sigh.

If you're looking for a daily, get a used ford focus, not a quarter century old shitbox.

I agree with this guy right here. tongue.gif

And apart from that, yeah, seeing this thread is kind of disappointing. Sorry Drifter. sad.gif

Exactly. Get a reliable daily, even if it isn't exactly exciting. Something you can just drive around without much trouble.

That's why I bought my Versa. The monthly payment/insurance is cheaper than the monthly maintenance costs of every other car I owned, and it's still a relatively fun car while sippin' das benzin. So, now I can put aside money for when I decide to do some stuff to my van. happy.gif

Yes, quite dead indeed. However, it's going to require another two or three pages of arguing before this thread sinks into the ocean of archived threads.

Umm, I don't think that was called for. Just because he's a Level 9 McSlave doesn't mean jack. In fact, where do you think all McManagers got their start? If you didn't pick up/catch on to his blablabla before, he did in fact say that he was on his way to being promoted. >.> All he needs to do, really, is paperwork, studying, and such.

Now, back on topic, if whats-his-face wants to mod this POS 86 for him, or whatever those numbnuts are going to do, then more power to them.

When did my post become a personal attack on Dori? It never was.

Aspirations and reality are two different things. Not much can be done with income from Mickey D's and being in debt.

He needs to start making wiser decisions in order for anything to happen. I personally don't know the guy, but judging from forum posts, he doesn't. He's just going to keep on digging himself in a hole that he himself can't climb out of, which is a sad situation.

off topic: im gonna disagree with getting a used Ford Focus as a daily. My buddy has one, and its giving him more problems then its worth. First, the CV joints are going out, Then, the radio decided it didnt like working, so it died a rather interesting death. Putting the car in reverse means you get a simulated version of the Northridge quake, and just recently, it idles with the rhythmic motion of a dog humping his partner.
