The best 30-minute film you'll see all year. And if you were born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s, it's gonna turn you into a time-traveller. Be forewarned of nostalgiaitis outbreaks while watching this film, or unexpected reversions to one's more youthful self. May also result in sudden urges to play Sega Genesis games or scour eBay for Power Gloves. But that's all right, because we need some ACTION if we wanna make it like a true survivor. |

Nice timing. I just happened to watch all of it right before this post came up. And fully agreed, best 30-minute film of the year. If anyone reading this hasn't seen it yet, I recommend they get to working on that. Because god we need some ACTION. |

I watched this as soon as I saw it was out thanks to a post on Kotaku. The most fun and enjoyable 30 minutes of film I've watched in a long while. |

I'll give it a watch once I get home, I need something to watch besides the news when I have lunch. /old man status. |

If you're gonna go for '80s cheese, watch Miami Connection. It was actually made in the '80s, so it's, y'know, actually genuine.
Plus drug-dealing motorcycle ninjas and rock band heroes. |

What about Surf Ninjas?
Not 80s, but 90s nostalgia bomb. |

Is it a bad thing that I recognize that guy in the preview image as being the pizza delivery guy from TMNT 2? |
Posted by: APX May 29 2015, 09:19 PM | ||
Because it is. |

Apparently there is also a Kung Fury game on http://store.steampowered.com/app/373180/?cc=us called Kung Fury: Street Rage. It looks kind of fun and is pretty cheap ($2). |

Glad to see this movie is getting some loving, best kickstarter project I ever funded! They're going to send me a blu-ray of this movie since I was one of the first contributors all the way back in Dec 2013! FYI: They are working on a feature length version of the film but they haven't completed it yet. I hope it gets a theatrical release! |

Oh man, so they're gonna do a feature-length film instead of a sequel to this one? JAWESOME. I hope they kickstart that so I can throw money at it. I felt so guilty for finding out about it so late that I bought the soundtrack on iTunes. I'll gladly fund anything that gets me more of this. |

There's a game on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam based off of the movie called Kung Fury: Street Rage. It is free and literally the best thing ever. Everyone should get it. Personally I am not so good at it. But I think I just need to listen to more True Survivor to get better. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] |

I remember hearing that a Kung Fury 2 was in the works back in May. I wonder how that is doing... Source: http://www.indiewire.com/2016/05/kung-fury-ii-teased-by-writer-director-star-david-sandberg-510339/ |

I haven't been on here in a few years, but I love seeing this was posted! As said in the OP, it's the best 30-minute film you'll see all year - and perhaps the best thirty minutes of my entire life. I hope that full-length film gets released. |

this is either a throw back to the 80s fond?? memories or rehashed 90s cheese. this is the cheesiest thing i remember/seen along side from masters of the universe (he-man) movie. call me crazy i didnt mind the 1993 cheesy super mario bros film. i found it to be hilarious in a cheesy way. the Kung Pow and shaolin soccer spoof films were very funny. |

I don't think the world is ready for the full length Kung Fury film. Kung Fury is spoofing the outrageous things like over the top martial arts action films. Much like how JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a spoof of Fist of the North Star. I agree that they are funny and are a very welcome relief to the same old stuff that we usually get. |

It was spoofing the greatness of the 80s, where we were so into buddy cop movies/futuristic (Time travel) shows/films, and the age of technology as well. Was damn well made by a bunch of europeans, who are still somewhat trapped in that fun 80s time. |

yeah, i saw that Mario movie for the first time on tv a few years back, not sure how long ago but i enjoyed it alot. the video quality was pretty darn good for what it was. i did watch that movie BC i liked the NES Super Mario Bros alot. probably one of the first few common video games that we were introduced to back in the early 90s. super mario, RC racing, Duck hunt.... some great memories and a big lesson in the perils of no surge protection while playing a video game system..................... im not the biggest B movie fan but ive seen my share of horrid B movies and then i found some decent films that i did enjoy to an extent. |

Today I finally convinced a good friend of mine to watch Kung Fury, and I gave him no explanation prior to watching. He was rolling right from the beginning when the street thugs flip the cop car into the air with their skateboard. Now yet another person is excited for a full-length film! |
