I think this is a pretty interesting topic so I'm going to start it. I'm interested in how much high level guys spent to get to lvl 99.
I've spent about 5,000 Yen total on my ID6 card I think. With that ive gotten to level 21 which is my max for now. About $50

Already spent over RM 300 on my cards (8200+ Yen)

Hmmm, about $720 USD so far? (It could have been double the amount I had not Utilized our local Arcade's 1-for-1 top up promotions...) Been doing lots of Force Quits when I make small errors ($200 worth of FQ's..) and TA's and also lost a fair bit on TSUBAKI DH and UH during my online battles...

The rest of the cash was used replacing and re-tuning my FD3RS to a FD3S.

But you can't help it...Over in Singapore, I spent close to $250 USD during the first two days when the game was released because the arcades priced them at $2 SGD which was about $1.6 USD a game...So you can imagine how much it took for me to FT a car, followed by another 3 cars and also leveling up to level 99....

I've been literally living off grass and cup noodles for the last month or so....

The initial purchase of the card and plays for the first and second day was 500php, but there was a 250 = 300 bonus going on, so that makes it 500 spent, 600 used on it altogether.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how this game paces itself. The machines are sufficiently crowded to stop me from overspending, and the actual gameplay is currently so taxing on my mind and body that I'm probably losing weight playing, ala L from Deathnote.

I more worst!i never count how much i spent!!ah darn it,when will i stop this things, its like a virus,i addicted from the version 2 to version 6,hoho

Currently... Dunno, within USD200 range I guess. True to what Digi said, I actually benefit from the overcrowding, it really dampens my appetite.

So far I have spent SGD $240, but this is expected since cars need to be tune and TA need to be improved...

As of now, I've spent roughly 3250 PHP on a single card; Give or take 500. It's a good thing I record how many days I'm playing, and thus can determine how many times I splurged an extra 250 on a day.

Note that one play is 25.

I seem to have let this spiral out of control for a bit. Since Summer Vacation's coming to a close; it's fitting that I return to a system of reward and punishment for myself.

me too! i've spent about maybe more than RM1000 in IDAS4,5 and 6!!! can you imagine that?!

My Lv99 FD alone costed me about : RM2600+ (pride 1k+Lv60 legend + tag pt 15k+TA+events) ...thats about USD850.

I think if I count my other 3 cards...I'll cry. So I won't

i spent less then $50cnd on id6 cuz me & my friend share a card together plus the fact that we have ppl that never get off the machine & think there hot sh1t, so i just go back to playing mt & bg4 now (its also far to play id6 for me)

Hhmm IDAS 1-6... I know im in the low thousands on my Original Sileighty and FD3S (Yes they are FT but got stolen :[) since they were transferred from 1-3. As far as my IDAS3 Cards go id say about $80 For my S14 and FD3S together. My FC3S on IDAS6AA 35$

I think mine is around USD400+

Too scared to count, but I have been playing a lot in the past 2 months because I only have three month window to play ID6 before I have to give it up (until next June). One more month to go....

For D6, if my estimation is correct, I would have spent at least US$350.

And that's just for D6, I've spent at least thrice as much for ID4 and ID5 combined. <.<

I lost track for IDv3, but IIRC it's in the same bracket as for D6.

Bottomline is that games like IDAS and WMMT always burn holes in our respective wallets.

I have a literal hole on my wallet ;( Thanks IDAS3-6 Naive childhood. It's great way to waste a day when you have no plans.

since my ID virus infection during V2 back in 2005 my medical and maintenance bill spiral out into few thousand USD ... seriously with that amount of money i can go back to Phil & buy a semi tuned R32 - hooked up with DamienWolf n go for some real track drifting down at Subic ...

atm V6 is killing me at very high speed juz like how i m TAing at Myogi running up & down either on a hot or rainy day ...

$5 sometimes $10, 3-4 times/week, been like this for maybe over 6 months.

I've been using: BNR32, BNR34 (x2), FC3S, FD3S6, AP1, Sil-80, Evo III, Evo IX, AE86, MX5.

I used to play IDAS3, i spent about 10-20 bucks on it. Then IDAS5, about at least 100-200 bucks, and then with IDAS6AA, probably at least 50-100 at the time of this post.

Absolutely no idea...

Okay, let's do a quick count: so far, I have a Spec 4 step 1 NSX, a Spec 5 step 1 Cappu, and a stock R34, in order of first-to-last car bought.

Buying the card (which included the NSX) cost me around 24 credits, with 1 credit roughly worth USD 0.15 with today's rate. Buying the second and third car cost me 3 credits each, for a total of 6 credits. So far, I've spent 30 credits, roughly equal to USD 4.50.

Tuning my NSX and Cappu to their respective tuning level means I've played roughly 80-90 games each, let's round it out to 200 games total. With only 3 credits per game, that's roughly 600 credits spent, for a total of roughly USD 90.

That means.. I've spent roughly USD 95 for my card??? That can't be right.. I mean, I believe I've spent more than that..

The calculation should amount to a minimal of USD90, since the upgrades in this game are done via points. Time Attack and Battle Modes all give less points than LoTS though the Online Battle can be economical as far as real money goes on the default 3 win settings AND if you win all threes games.

So, yeah kinda hard to keep track unless somebody actually writes down the per session spending for all the games of the card since points are in different amounts via depending on the mode. And then of course, there's the spending some people might use for Externals and such too.

My very 1st ID6AA card there which eventually reach 99 (pic taken last minute before reach 99 in 1 more play) I think I spent roughly about USD 250.

you only spent $250 and hit 98? alot of people race against you? i see the line so it looks like you played offline too....

i also see that legend chapter 90...... lol

must be alot cheaper to play over at indonesia :-\

If you count purely from a exchange rate perspective, then it is cheaper but it's probably a different case if you use purchasing power parity. Exchange rates are just user as a universal measure of value using a single currency as the base. Living standards are lower in this region so getting the money to play them is harder (if we were to count it in USD that is), so in that sense it's not as cheap as it is; at least not to us.
